I always personally thought Andrew had a personal grudge against Gamzee, for no real reason i might add. I have to say Gamzee was an interesting concept, a silly goofy clown ends up becoming the most powerful creature in the Homestuck universe. But Gamzee was basically either bullying or being bullied himself, nothing more than a living gag.
Considering his prevalence all the way into the candy epilogues, and Hussie's longtime personal affections and fixation for juggalos/ICP, I think this is totally a wrong reading. I think Gamzee was and is probably one of Hussie's favorite characters. Why else would be such a constant presence amongst a caste of characters, and even a narrative voice, who hate him?
