The best choice for a wheel you need working all the time with range. I still ride my Sherman og with 38000 miles. 4 rims 1 motor... but I still love this wheel.
What happened to the motor?
Bro we got the same exact stats to the t… Team Og Sherman 😂
Damn dude, 38000 miles? Geesh
@@ETAonTheEUC yea deliveries in nyc rain, snow, 115° the wheel lived it all
@Trevor Thieme I went to amped games and I was jumping with it hahah my axle broke... but that's my fault.
I own a Sherman S and had some of the same concerns.
If your average ride is a short trip through bike lanes in your neighborhood, with a stop at a store or restaurant, the Sherman S is not the wheel I’d pick.
But for long adventure rides spanning both on and off road, the speed, range, and safety provided by the suspension of the Sherman S makes it the best wheel for the job IMO.
For me, daily driver is as much about reliability as it is about how often I use it. And for that criteria I think the Nikola or perhaps the V12 would be the best “daily driver” for most people.
If you’re looking for range and reliability and can only own one wheel though, the Sherman Max is a great pick. But if you don’t need the range, or can afford more than one wheel, there may be better options.
At the end of the day, I think the lesson here is that there is no universally “best” wheel, and you don’t need to buy the latest and greatest monster wheel as soon as it comes out just because it’s getting hyped on TH-cam.
The fact that you bought a Sherman Max with your own money should hopefully encourage people stop FOMOing over every new wheel that comes out and learn to enjoy what they have.
I need to ride 20km daily, home-work. For winter ride maybe V12 would be in some cases better, as it have better waterproofing, but the fact that battery capacity in winter is about in half, and i maybe have 2 hours before sleep to charge it, making me realy think about Sherman Max, even if it could be pain to carry upstairs. Atm have practice carrying 35kg scooter, seems doable 40kg too. And yes, were too poor to have more wheels to own
You can't go wrong with The Sherman. Amazing wheel all around. Like the Toyota truck of the EUC's.
Japanese car sucks tho
Toyota is cheap work hosre and realiable, Lexxus way better from the same Toyota
After all the issues I keep hearing about these new wheels, I'm really skeptical to spend 5-6k on a new wheel. My heart keeps coming back to the veteran sherman but everyone is saying that non-suspension wheels are obsolete. Thanks for sharing your insight. I may pick up a used sherman for now and wait it out.
You told everything right, except the more hard time controlling shermans than shermax. They're in the same weight league, so no difference. And about bearings: it's shermax's weak spot, especially stock ones, mine started making noise after 1500km, but anyway, I rode it for another 5000km in summer before changing, the sound was became too loud xD. Now my Shermax is close to 10k km, riding it often in winter, in snowy forests and skiing hills lol.
And you are right about Kingsong 18XL and Shermax being the most reliable wheels. I had 18XL before, it served well for more than 11k km. Then sold it to another happy buyer.
I hope in future Veterans will add USB-ports and maybe music to shermans like in 18XL, it's awesome.
Yes fair point about Sherman vs Shermax! Thx for your comment!
I'm one of those folks who saw the Kuji Sherman video and I fell hard down the euc rabbit hole. After learning on the Nik +, I saved up enough for the Max. Been happy with it and don't see myself changing any time soon
About to make that same move, started on a nikola+ now the sherman is in my sight.
Absolutely love this video, if I could like it 3 times I would. These big heavy, clunky suspension wheels don't impress me very much, and have so many more potential points of failure. As I was riding my RS last night it struck me how much I love the absolute tight, no clanky noise feeling of a non-suspension wheel. Well done sir : )
It's kind of crazy how this wheel is still pretty new and yet it's seen as "old". This wheel is great anyway you look at it. It just doesn't have suspension, but if reliability is what you want then you made the right choice. The SherMax ain't no push over either guys, come on
Excellent choice. My Sherman Max has over 3400 miles on it now, and I frequently ride it through rain and sand and mud. It's so reliable and sturdy, stable and speedy, sufficient for me. Granted, I don't have the need to ride 40+ mph. I can store it under my desk in my cubicle and lift it with one hand if necessary. Best of all, very little range anxiety. I know that if I leave the house in the morning at 100%, I won't have to worry about battery that day. It's my daily driver as well.
Love this video. I’ve thought about buying one of the new wheels from 2022-2023, but my Sherman is just so reliable. Most of the new wheels require too many aftermarket modifications and strenuous maintenance to work properly. The best deals right now are all of the used Shermans being sold in the aftermarket
Hey man I voted for Shermax! I was really excited by your ride review of this wheel, and how reliable it is. Anyway my daily driver is V12HT, I love how comfy it is. I have 50% pedal sensitivity and the pedals are just amazing, almost works like suspension. I am so happy with this wheel, but shermax is twice the battery and also the speed is better. I did many 65km trips with 20% left on my V12HT, which is enough for me, if you need more and do not care about the weight sure Shermax is the way to go! Probably also much more fun for speed demon like you :D
Not that I don't agree with the safety argument and all that, and for sure that begode is so far below the quality bar that it is hilarious. But does it actually suck to have one at home?
Begode has had the most fires out of any company, but they are also the most popular, or so I think? Anyway according to the forums at least there are under 40 reported fires with them for all their models, including cases of known abuse. So what is the rate of fire of owning a begode wheel? 0.01? 0.001? What if we don't include the older models? I guess it's hard to know since we don't have sales numbers.
Either way it is unacceptable, I know that. But if none of their newer models has these problems I also think we can't banlist them forever for this history.
Fantastic choice. I owned a V11 before. While the suspension is super comfortable, keep in mind that suspension just adds more points of complexity, failure and maintenance.
I own and ride a Shermax. The wheel is big enough and at 25psi, feels super cushioned and comfortable. It's super simple, no frills, and once in a while I just check the tire pressure. It goes all day without me worrying about range. It's reliable and never seen any major issues reported by anyone. It's such a good wheel, even the newer Sherman S or V13 just don't feel that much better for me to move away from my Shermax.
All roads lead to Sherman, then something else, then back to the Sherman.
When he said his “next wheel is going be” I didn’t know he meant personal wheel. I thought he meant to review so I was like okay he’s getting the V13 to review and it was highly anticipated!!! I’m glad he made a choice he can stand behind. It makes sense for him. I’ve only owned the V11, V12 HS, and in a few weeks V13 and I’m a fan of the slim form factor (not a wide stance), quality (despite the major hiccups with the bearings and motherboard), and the lack of pedal dipping! I wish I loved the Sherman line up. I really do! But I tried it on HARD mode in NYC pier 76 once and the pedal dipping was too much for me so I didn’t like it that much…. Im going from 1750 Wh @ 64 lbs to 3024 Wh @ 110ish lbs so the range even though weight increase of the wheel is still an upgrade for me because I don’t go above 35 mph…… yet.. lmao
It is the same for me, I really can understand everything from the reliability persepctive, but the pedal dipping makes Sherman Max a no go for me. Says an owner of KS18-L, V12HS and shortly after ship arrives of a Sherman S
A veteran is always a good choice 👍🏼
Great selection. My Sherman max is my number one wheel out of the 4 I have!! I love ❤it!! Thanks brother!!🙏 Blessed be in 23!!
Rode my Shermax to the work today. About 25 miles total. I estimate I average about 30mph. I brought my backpack but didn't put anything in it. Arrived at office @ 96V and found a box of chocolate on my desk. Ah, the benefits of not having to carry around a charger, my empty backpack was perfect fit for the chocolates. As for the ride, it was wet, lots of leafs, and the roads are horrible because of the pot holes left by the snow plows. Keep those knees bent and the tire (25 psi) felt soft and cushy. I don't miss my V11 at all. I love my Shermax.
v. low preasure
@@milordas Yup, no curb or stairs jumping @ 25 psi for sure.
Great video as always! My transportation scenario is virtually identical to yours. My wife and I have been trying to get rid of our 2nd car since COVID and gas prices went nuts. We tried performance scooters, and that worked amazingly... on dry days, but terrible in winter. I became interested in EUC's when I saw that they required extra skill to learn, and then I was totally sold when I saw you and others riding them in the snow. I want my PEV to be my main vehicle 365 days a year. I bought the InMotion V11 and it arrives this week. If it works out then I may upgrade to a Veteran Sherman Max next year since I think the off-road and slightly larger tires will probably handle the snow better. (I live in the mid-west USA, so we get tons of snow.) I'll wait and see how your Sherman holds up this year. Please keep us posted after the snow season ends.
I got the normal sherman (V2) to get me to and from school. I feel bad I didn't know about suspension wheels (or the Max variant as well) beforehand, but to get the Sherman used, at 77 miles, and for $2200 USD, I feel it'll tide me over until the S gets its long-term durability tested by consumers. I'm glad to see that similar choices are made given the current EUC market's progress.
Safe travels to you and your Max!
$2200 is a freaking steal dude. Enjoy.
Sherman Max would last for long. Maybe Leaperkim will add smart bms to it, would be nice.. but still its most reliable wheel yet. Oh and dont forget kill switch in next revision, pls.. or make 2 wires out, for DIY, we will do that switch by your selfes
Gratuluje nowego super kola. Szerokiej drogi WrongWay🔥🔥
Thank you for another great video!
Curiously, I came to the same conclusion! I decided to keep my Sherman Max as my reliable daily driver with trusted long range. Plus with its roll cage it is a good platform for my bubble machine stuff.
And then i have Begode wheels for fun (bought through eWheels with the LiTech battery packs).
I have done extensive modifications to my Begode Master's suspension, and now I think with the LiTech 40t battery packs it is the best trail wheel available -- as long as you don't need to go farther than about 30 miles/ 48km.
Great choices! also Thanks for being a member! ☺️✨
My daily driver the KS 16X. My best wheel for fun the Master. My S18 for the suspension in a lighter wheel where I don't need the range. My nInbebot One E+, super light, super convenient, throw it in the car whenever, best last mile machine, super agile and the only one I can ride backwards :-) It makes sense, but the other thing of course just one wheel does not cut it.
Crazy deals on the Shermax. Especially at Eevees
Hi Adam!! Today I saw your video about the Sherman max(actually I see everything what you post)and it’s my opinion the same as yours,Me to I ride a Sherman max….Fantastic wheel, solid and the reliability is proved since 3-4 Years…For me is Number 1 and the KS18XL is on the way to me brand new….I owned really a lot of wheel in the past, with BEGODE I Finished in the late 2017😉😏…no more BEGODE and Never will buy another BEGODE!! But 2 Sherman and 4 KS18XL!!! I wanted just 2 wheels at home for that I always sold the Old and get the New like InMotion V10,V11,V12,and many more…..BUT…..at the End What even for me Always WORKS ARE SHERMAN MAX AND KINGSONG KS18XL!! Adam you do a great job with all the information that you give us,so we can make the best choice with minimum errors or less errors, but still is difficult to choose between so many Different Wheels! Thank you for your great works,Please Continue in the future to be honest with us like always you are! I LOVE your Video!!!!😃😃😃😃👍👍👍😉😉😉
It's like when I get asked what's the best escooter for me. It all depends on what the person needs on a daily basis. You have made the decision that based on what you need is right for you. Well done with the research and letting us viewers know the thought process.
I currently have the V12HS and have been using it in all weather but it just doesn't have quite enough performance or range at this point. I sold my car and have converted to using a wheel 24/7. I was looking at the max and S22 pro the pro because of the fast charger and suspension and the max because of the range. But things being how they are currently in the world I might just wait a year or two and see how far the V12 gets before I really need to look to replace it.
what range youre get with V12hs in no hurry mode
@milordas maybe 75km tops I weigh 90kg before gear
I think if Kingsong released a 1,500wh s18 "2" it would solve so many problems on the market right now. or if they didn't release the s22 with that slider design. the Begode t4 is considerable for the price and features but Begode is like the Facebook of e wheels. I'm afraid it would explode in a crash or explode while charging it. Personally I'm going to wait on the s22 pro see if they manage to redeem themselves
i would wait till they release S22 Ultra with kill switch in better place and better LCD :)
i as well put tape over the ON/OFF switch on my EXN and ride in any weather. Not a single droplet inside. but the parts compatibility sucks though
The problem with the Begode suspension wheels, is that it appears that ALL suspension wheels require more "maintenance" to keep them running... which in many cases can mean parts replacement... I don't even think dealers can keep track of what parts work with what version of which revision of whatever model wheel Begode released last week... let alone a few months ago.
Frankly... the potential for costly and time consuming routine maintenance with ALL suspension wheels is so bad, that while I was DEAD SET and FULLY FUNDED on upgrading to a suspension wheel this year... I am now just as dead set on waiting for a product worthy of my money. I had sooooo hoped that it would be the S22 Pro due to ride dynamics... but alas... I believe the slider issue will end up requiring a complete redesign as opposed to all these aftermarket band aids.
Bottom line... I've always been willing to roll the dice a bit on a ~$2K wheel... ~$4K changes that dynamic SIGNIFICANTLY.
Good for you my guy. Always good to get what works for you.
It's better to maintenance suspension than knees.
I have similar requirements but just need a wheel with a range of approximately 50 miles, at least 30 top speed and reliable in all weathers. I don't ride off road. I don't need suspension. A decent front and rear light. I'd also prefer if it doesn't look like something from mad max as I often walk them round shops. I also want to sleep well with the wheel in the house. Any thoughts?
Instead of tape i just carry a backpack rain cover with me to cover the top , get a large one and you can simply hook around your pads so it stays in place
yes, that sounds much more convenient... facepalm.jpg
@@JonahHax sure is, fits in the pocket on my jacket and takes literally 5 seconds to put on, and covers all the top of any euc including any screens or trolley handles , has worked flawlessly on my V10, MSP and Sherman for 3yrs now of commuting to work everyday rain, shine or snow!
@@davewood1982 he was being ironic, mate. It is an inconvenience to say the least to have to put a rain cover on such a device. Silicon for plastic seams and hydrophobic lubricants for mechanically moving parts is the way to go.
@@whatsupbudbud yes I know he was trying to be a smart ass, hence my example of how convenient it is despite what you think, it literally takes 5 seconds at most to put on and I don't need to be constantly buying rolls of tape, carrying something to cut it, getting the right width and length every time I need to apply it... By the time you've fucked around with it iv got my rain cover on and half way down the street rolling, not to mention that all the top of my euc is extra protected, screen, power buttons, charge/USB ports, trolley handle. That's real convenience!
@@davewood1982 To each his own I guess. At the very least, it's nice that your kind of solution is always an option, so thanks for sharing.
I think you made a good decision choosing the Sherman Max.
I too have one and it’s been an outstanding wheel for the purposes you’ve mentioned. It has great range, plenty of speed (for me) and has been very durable, as well as, trouble free.
Yes, I’d like to have at least a minimal suspension on my Shermax, but it is what it is… Good luck with your wheel and let us know how it ultimately works out for you! 👊👍
Funny everyone talks about the B12ht? My HS is a beast and totally dependable after the Mosfets first gen issues. The HT is always beeping and my HS is quick and agile in these times of 100lbs wheels. Just weird the HS isn’t discussed ?
I have bought the Sherman Max at this summer. So I already did 12000 km on it. I love my wheel and don't know what wheel can be better. I want to try suspension to ride over the mountains and other off-road, but i do my best on shmax.
Bought for $4000 for the euc and $2000 for tuning. Increased safety by putting compound over the whole euc and colored to chrome gold xD
$2000 for tuning? Huh?
@@416-Toronto color, pedals, stops, cobras, cooling, waterproofing, front and rear guards, saddle, headlight. this is the main thing i remember. About $300 from it for transporting
@@lomeat thanks for explaining that to tuning costs!
...makes a guy stop and think. That's some very interesting perspective amidst all the (justifiable) excitement with the new wheels coming out. Thanks for this.
I need suspension not 100 km range - So V13 or Veteran S is prob my next purchase. Thx for good info as always
This video makes me very happy.
Thank you for the video!
High suspensionwheels aren't good on icy conditions with cartracks. My master stays in the garage and SMax it is untill the road is flat again, even though both got studs :)
Wow, look at you, makin me feel good about owning a Sherman Max. Maybe I will keep it for another couple months 😅
Fully and totally agree with your choice Adam!
Thx
Great choice, anything besides a begode is a good choice 👍🏽
Max is a great wheel ! And i miss the customization that bar offered. You could really make it your own, and it was so versitile for mounting acessories.
Non suspension forces proper techniques imo. Which is not a bad thing. sometimes i wonder if new riders should probably start on a solid axle because of this. Larger wheels and suspension seem to not eliminate, but drastically reduce the development of wobbles. seemingly just pushing up the speed at which they would develop. could you imagine being a noob and your first wobble experience being upwards of 40 mph . 🤪
I got my OG sherman in late 2020 and i still ride it. its had a control board failure but that was easy and my fault. There is nothing better. suspension WILL break. I bought 2 suspension wheels since ive had the sherman. they are both broken. the v11 shocks wont hold air and the Hero is garbage. its loud, bottoms out and is so so hard to open uip to work on .
I'm in the same boat, I'm still rolling my OG sherman as all the new wheels looks complicated. Complicated usually = more things to go wrong.
All the memes in this one! 😂 congrats on your new daily driver, keep on keepin on!
my thoughts exactly. i own a max and i'm not tempted by the the current suspension wheels...at all. i don't trust them. i want range, reliability, build quality, waterproofing, proper electronics and a functional BMS. peace of mind, basically. and i have zero interest in dozens and dozens of screws keeping an excessive number of parts together (looking at you inmotion v13).
I’ve got a Kingsong 18xl this week 😊
personally i prefer 22-24inch wheels, im 196cm tall which is part of it but also the bigger wheel feels like it has similar cushioning to some of the begode suspension wheels without any suspension built in
Thank you for incorporating all the memes. Spot on.
Thanks for appreciating! A man of culture!
same reasoning in my case, I just have space for one wheel, so I bought most reliable at this moment Sherman Max (as my first) and waiting for suspension wheel as reliable as Sherman Max. Sherman S is most probable next choice, but I want it to grow mature (like Sherman OG -> Sherman Max)
I imagine a 20" wheel is more sporty than a suspension wheel because of weight distribution and zip off the line. But i never tried a suspension wheel.
Am i wrong?
I already think my 16X is pretty damn comfortable, so a 20" with equally fat tire would feel even more comfortable?
Yes, the suspension wheel 19.5" is smth totally different than 16X.
I also used 16X on daily basis for 2 years (11k km) and thought it was good enough. But since I bought a Begode Hero HS I've realized on how wrong I was.
You can ride 60kmh and feel safe, never care about 3 beeps or smth. Speedy, reliable and a way more comfortable than 16X. Good feeling of the road, good contact with surface on a bumpy road. I forgot pain in my knees. Pedals are 'concrete', always stable. And narrow wheel is a way better than wide 16X. So I love Begode Hero, but still use 16X. Suspension wheel is for summer, for dry weather. When it's snowy or muddy, it's time for my old proven 16X
I own an EB commander, unfortunately took it through some mud and overpowered it so its down waiting for a new board. I wanted to buy another wheel and I might just buy a second EB commander because I love it so much. I’m struggling to purchase a new wheel when this is the perfect wheels for me already
The Veteran Sherman max with Nylonove pedals is comfortable and dead reliable. Has good performance and practical transportation
about Nylonove.. are they reliable pedals? as plastic do not seems v. sturdy
Pretty solid wheel, for a non-suspension one.
100% Thanks for being a member!
I just bought the forgotten Veteran, Abrams. Hope the cutout is fixed and it would be reliable. Thanks for the 100€ discount code :D
A screw driver can drive a screw in to the wall efficiently, a saw can cut wood efficiently, a multi tool can do both with lot of complexity and not as efficiently.
The same with cars, bikes and EUC's.
There is a EUC for every job but we can't own every one due to cost. So we are left to try to maximize our gains with as little cost as possible. TH-camr's like you can inform us how each EUC can be used to maximize our gains to get the best al purpose tool.
Which recent begode wheel with big battery had a fire problems ? 🙂 we all agree that there was some risks for aggressive riders with powerfull wheels and small batteries ( like1800wh) but other than that no issues. Or not ?
I wonder that myself. Wasn't it just a specific range of wheels using the same faulty batterypacks that was a problem? And ewheels did a recall on those wheels to exchange for some other batteries (good on ewheels, shame on begode for not doing a global recall!). But I haven't heard of any recent fire problems? Please correct me if I am wrong...
Great video, I plan to do delivery work in downtown as a beginner rider, try to understand whether Veteran Sherman Max good choice for such activities in your opinion ??
Great choice ,I love my Sherman v2 I don't need suspension with my kid and of riding new suspension wheels are ,to heavy and pedal height is to high on them , I would rather have a lower center of gravity and better control with a non suspension wheel . My next wheel will be the max .
Adam, I would love a really comprehensive video on setting up alarms, tilt back, beeps. As I've been riding a 16x for some time without a true understanding. Thanks in advance.
I also chose Shermax for the same reason. A question to you (if you know) - do the Shermax trolleys go right into the battery compartment or anywhere else inside the wheel? I read about this somewhere online and this could be a major issue in rain. Saw a 3D printer design item that basically covers the handle so there is no water ingress. An alternative would be just to regularly spray wd-40. Anyway, waiting for my shermax to arrive (waterproofed by the vendor). Also - does your mud guard spray anything on your back at high speeds? I 3D printed the only available rear fender but above 40km/h it still sprays a bit.
I’ll get this cover for my trolley, I had no issues on prior Sherman but I want to be safe :) the stock mudguard is perfect.
A w moim S-Maxie (2.5kkm) padło łożysko po jeździe po śniegu (pewnie podczas wywrotki wleciała woda i zaczęło rdzewieć). Wymieniłem na nierdzewne... i lampy przestały działać... pewnie przetwornica 13V padła.
🤣AINT NOBODY GOT TIME 4DAT!!🤣......ps:i love my sherm and my max(they r my drivers , no worries or fears)!
Great decision...With new SS does Leaperkim discontinue the Max?
My experience with Sherman Max reliability hasn't been great. Hopefully, now that it is finally fixed, that will change. Batteries . . .
Care to elaborate?
@@whatsupbudbud One set of packs was bad and the process of getting it diagnosed and the right combination of replacement packs took months. As the lady said in Adam's video, "Ain't nobody got time fo' dat". She's right.
@@arevee9429 ha, you know what, I received my new Shermax and it had a vibration/violent rattling issue from the get go. @@whatsupbudbud Mine is working now. Sort of. It does not feel or sound great going over speed bumps at higher speeds the motor is a bit grumbly when idling (back and forth at low speeds. The supplier has requested that I record the sound. It will be interesting trying to capture that . . .
@@arevee9429 Oh snap, I feel ya buddy. I guess the vendor doesn't want to give a refund?
As for the sound recording, try a sparsely used pedestrian tunnel - those have good acoustics usually.
I’m looking forward to seeing some results. It’s actually my pick for a long range machine as well. ✨✅✨Best of luck Adam!
There is still no euc I want to drop my cash for and will continue riding my escooter for another season and see what may pop up. Top considering with be range, suspension, weight, safety, safety, safety! Also replacement parts must be readily available, non of this custom bullshit. No vendor lock-in for me!
Next minute Sherman Max gets wet and dies :P good choice champ im waiting on my v13 to get here :)
Muy buenas adam me ayudaría muchi un consejo tengo un begode rs19hs y quería comprarme la sherman max ves bueno y correcto el cambio muchas gracias un saludo
By your own logic, you should have stayed with the BMX bike. Unlimited range and you can't beat the stability of that..
Lol
Unlimited range? What about my lungs and muscles :D also, it has a handlebar, that’s an issue 😂
@@mr_wrongway UNLIMITED RANGE! I know what I said. Also just take the handlebar off or use it to attach useful stuff..
For the level of rain in the video, did you do any mods to waterproof it or are you riding it stock as far as waterproofing is concerned?
I’m in Seattle so we get similar weather.
Edit: I guess you somewhat talk about this at the end!
Are the new versions of the max Axle being sealed?
there are so many wheels but only few of them are really a finished product not saying a polished product. After theese years it still is pain in the ass to change a tyre... There is also no small light suspension wheel with a 1500Wh battery. I am dissapointed of the market and still waiting for my replacement of V10.
i would realy add some connectors to the shermans wheel, to not get every time to the controller when i need to change tire. 80A should be enough for phase wires
Hey man. Did you heard or know a possibility/hack to have the flat pedals in a V shape position? I tried this wheel and this thing, flat pedals, kept me from buying it. In a medium city 2 of V10f are better (even for deliveries) and cheaper than a shermax. Do you think it has more torque than KS18XL?
@@danmano478 I dont know, I never tried KS18XL but certainly can do 30 deg incline. However its hard to push without pads at that high torques.
I mean there are some solutions for V-shape like putting some plate inbetween pedal and hanger. I never did it. I mean some slight v-shape would make sense but for a commuting I dont see much use of it. The main problem is grip of pedals but this can be solved by custom studs or pedals.
@@LaggerSVK Thanks man. I assume those plates should be fixed there with some screws in some holes drilled in the pedals, or maybe there is some powerful glue for metals? A V shape pedals, even light, it would be better for me for stability feeling (I’m used to V shape). I think V10f has better torque than 18xl, but I would like a confirmation from someone who has/tried both. I’ll keep asking.
@@danmano478 exactly. I have seen some holes drilled to attach the plate. I mean certainly there are glues that can be used with high sucess to bind two metals. Maybe some epoxy based. I used some loctite epoxy to glue a metal to plastic on my EUC in load path and it is fine after 2000 km.
Welcome back to SHERMI BOI (classic) FAMILY ! Clasic sherman have 35KG. Now time to K66 tire.
I almost landed on a Sherm Max when upgrading last fall but eWheels scared me away from it with a picture of a Max internals with severe water damage from supposedly just light rain. Have you done any aftermarket waterproofing (besides the tape on the top :-P)?
What did you buy instead? Did they upsell you? I've owned both the OG Sherman, put 4000 miles on it before selling, and have the Max now, with 2500 miles. I've ridden both in light rain and even dropped my Max into a 3 inch deep puddle before slipping on some mud...have had zero issues with either. Never did any waterproofing other than the gaskets that come from factory. Its not waterproof by any means but it is fairly water resistant. No IP rating but good design choices.
They ended up recommending an EX.N or a V12 over the Max and I went with the V12HS for the IP rating. I'm pretty happy with it, I just wish it had the stability of a larger diameter tire.
I've been riding my firat batch sherman OG since the beginning it never let me down. Are you getting a seat for your sherman?
Brilliant choice.... Time will prove your genius 😁
So in essence:
There is only very vague and general things to look for when deciding "What is THE wheel for me?"
For me, I just feel it in my loins when I see it.
I used the inmotion v12 as a daily ride to work and put 2,500 miles on the wheel till I bent the rim so I order the extreme bull commander now I'm waiting for the inmotion v13
I knew you'd go for the Sherman Max. Im still tip toeing myself between keeping the Max or selling it to buy a Sherman S.
My city's roads are truly horrible, but on the other hand, my guts tells me that with all the crap in the air that could go wrong (war, big economic downturn, supply chain issues), having a RELIABLE proven wheel with little need to maintain could be HUGE.
Not a easy choice!
I waiting for s22 pro. I think it could be better option for me if i want offroad. What do you think about it?
Yes for off-road it’s a better choice (unless you want more range)
@@mr_wrongway I don't really care about range actualy. I want to choose my first wheel for riding in the Tricity forest. I work less then 20km from home so it still sound greate for me
I recon, you do you, and keep us posted please! 😉
this is exactlly why i also enjoy my sherman max :D i need a wheel that just works! i commute to work on it etc. so far it has never let me down :D oh, and its still a blast to ride!!!
Right on!
I am convinced now, that Veteran Sherman Max is going to be my second EUC
Wait hold up, the nikola had fires? I thought it actually was one of the best all around wheels (the 2700wh one)
Mainly the versions that used LG m50t batteries (the lg m50lt are fine) for the 900w packs (recall were made for MSPs using the same lg m50t).
The controller allow to ask for way too much amperage than what the 900w packs made with m50t can safely provide, leading to premature wearing and the cells.
Not experienced so far, own a a v11 and this is my first summer, but so far it looks like manufacturers are trying to produce an M5, where you need 6 tanks of fuel to drive from Riga to Berlin and reliability is... i mean it's a bmw. While what 99,9% of the people buy is a corolla. And even people with a lot of money will buy a tiguan with a 911 in the garage for weekends or as a seasonal drive.
Make it robust, skip the magnesium like in the ss (it burns like a motherf..), just use thick plastic with ribs or aluminium. Performance? While city riding id say a comfortable and safe speed is around 30 kmh, so id say if you want to go 50 on a road (which i dont do myself, maybe at night with roads empty) a top speed of 65 is more than enough to have a safety margin. Range around 120km at 30kmh speed. Suspension? Probably yes, hydraulic shocks on the sides, cause some sidewalks are awful. Make good waterproofing. Price it not more than 3k.
I'm getting close to 4k km on my Sherman. It got dings scratches and is very dirty because wet roads in winter. Own a S22 but I'm not liking it. Sherman is so much nicer
want a 100v kingsong 18xl
Sameeee
In your opinion what is the best for off road, I live in the desert and that will be the main place I ride
I would take my sherman og out any day in a desert if given opportunity. It is such a great and reliable wheel. I am not sure suspension would be good for you with all the dust that might be building up and problems that might arise due to that. Have been riding in mine in rain, snow, mud, and sandy beaches with no problems for years. You will need the off road tire for sure.
Soon Batteries will be Salt based, they will charge 3x as fast and have like 15% more watt hour per pound
??
Soon as in maybe the next 5 years and so far the range is less than Li-on batteries.
I think that any major battery improvements are a long, long way away I’m afraid.
4:17 how did you mount your helmet there?
I the chin piece leans on the rollbar :)
I like seeing non suspension wheels praised in current year. Nice.
OG Sherman is the best! Cool video!
thank you for this vidéo, il all brands could ear you on the subject of reliability and range. ... less weight , with suspension for me...
I bought a Sherman-S as second euc but i wondered if that was a good choice, i test drove a Sherman V3 and it seems much more small and nimble
v3 is few kg lighter than Max
@@milordas Yeah its winter in Canada so i couldn't do a proper test ride, damn snow !
Always have to make the right choice for you.
I’m expecting V13 but I’m reluctant to sell my OG sherman. This video convinced me not to sell it.
