Am I the only person who LOVES random gas station coffee? I find it is usually ACTUALLY fresh brewed and replaced more than coffee store coffee. Diane your videos are always funny and interesting, heartwarming and a joy to watch at the end of a long work day. THANK YOU
Haha, that's true, it usually is fresh, but often watery in my experience, except in eastern Oregon and Washington, their gas station coffee was surprisingly good! Thanks for your kind words, Billy... :)

You're hilarious!! I laugh so much with your videos! (probably;y cause I can relate to a lot of it) And I admire your determination or patience to make the bed, and undo the bed every single day!! When I go car camping I leave the bed made all the time, no patience to shuffle everything around every day lol also, I don't care at all what people may think, I guess that helps? 🤣
As someone who has kicked around the idea of sleeping in my car for cross country road trips (a VW Golf, so different configuration than yours), all i could think while watching you maneuvering around inside is my legs would be cramping up! Is there a reason you don't just get out if car and set things up/put away with doors open and standing outside? I mean, i could see if it was a city street and you want to be stealth, or maybe you were somewhere unsafe.
I get ready inside as much as possible in public places because I don't want to call attention to myself, and also in the winter it's literally freezing outside, inside the car is warmer. But yes, I could certainly open the doors and step outside for some of it.

oh you are truly a car camper designer (karate chop on the accent pillow) nice choice of pillows to match the blanket Diane...it all goes together well! you could put together some camper "swatches" for some van/car lifers lol, all kidding aside - you made it comfy for you and it looks marvelous - safe travels home

Just returned from camping in my minivan,last time before getting it set up for full time travel in June! It was warmer-about 40F-but complicated by my 70-lb, 7-mo old puppy who was anxious about the strangeness of living in the van. Hopefully, our daily shuffle will be easier, but I don’t think it will be any less cramped. Happy trails!
That's awesome that you had a good test run. I'm sure your puppy will get used to it in time. I've seen people travel with some pretty big dogs, great for company and protection!
@@dianeschmiane In a minivan I was going to do both sides for a more "stealthy" look but wondered about diminishing the reflectix factor (mostly concerned with sun and heat) and decided to only cover the inside. It's really easy to do and is much nicer inside without the glare.
Diane you really make me nervous with those earplugs you need to be able to hear if someone's breaking into your car or trying to get to you and things around you for safety please take a second thought about the earplugs it's just not safe you're a beautiful woman on your own please rethink wearing earplugs I know it sucks at night and it could be noisy but your life is more important you know I just want you to be able to hear if something bad is happening and you won't be able to with the earplugs in
It really wasn't that bad, but I'm hearing that in summer it's a complete disaster. That might be a fun video... little shop of public restroom horrors or something along those lines! 😂

I couldn't handle the reflectix shining on the inside and covered the panels with fabric.
I've thought about doing that because it would look nicer, but doesn't that diminish some of the insulating properties?
