Unfortunately the Uconnect access apps will not work. Customers who are currently subscribed to the paid subscription of UConnect Access® will forfeit this feature by upgrading to the new UConnect 4 system (which now uses Sirius Guardian®). At this time, it is extremely rare that Sirius Guardian will allow for a service retrofit. With that said, we recommend utilizing the navigation apps that are offered with Apple Carplay/Android auto. Many of them will offer the local live updates that you would otherwise lose with the Uconnect apps.
You should retain the performance pages so long as the vehicle isn't a 2015. 2015's don't seem to retain the heated seats/steering wheel and performance modes with the Uconnect 4. We should have a solution for that soon!
You can't upgrade to the RB5, because that was the factory radio before the Charger changed the wiring in 2015. You can do the UAQ if you wanted to get the navigation! I have a 2014 Grand Cherokee with the RA4 system. Would I, in the future, be able to upgrade my system to the NEW 8.4 that includes GPS navigation with it? Or would I be able to do it now? The primary drivers of the vehicle use Android phones, so it'd be awesome to have Android Auto so we can voice text (we don't subscribe to UConnect Access, so we don't have voice texting for Android enabled).
UAQ/UAS 8.4" Uconnect 4 head unit is going to be the same for 2015-2022. The drop down menu configuration on the page listing for 2015-2016 includes a USB media hub. 2017-2022 does not require the USB media hub, as it is already equipped with the USB media hub required for the Apple Carplay/Android Auto functionality.

The Black Challenger wondering the same thing. It's way better in 2017. A lot more fluid. I hope it can work.
Hopefully they can update the 2015-2016 radios so they can support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
If you watch the video for the 2016 radio it looks like the connections are completely different. I don't think you can upgrade to the 2017.
