Angela Perez Baraquio, the first Filipino American to win Miss America.
She's the first Asian Miss America.
When she won. I was so proud. Beautiful, humble, talented and inspiring.. Being of Filipino American ancestry she made ALL Filipinos proud. I was also born in Hawaiʻi and she is still is an inspiration. Im happy South Eastern Asians are in the media.

Faith is judge, while Angela was a teacher and a respected Principal and School Trustee in Hawaii. Both are public servant, good for both of them!!
@@Nelsonhmhpub the only reason why Angela was featured in a TV show in the Philippines because she was the first Asian-American Miss America crown. Her parents were poor and immigrants from the Philippines, Angela being the first Asian-American Miss America crown was a big deal and was a product of the Cindella story and the "American Dream" & she chased her dream therefore people applauded her for that!! No need to discredit her!

Can we just be happy for all of them, regardless of skin shade? We are the melting pot. Most countries do not have the array of nationalities that we call Americans. They selected a terrific Miss America on this night. Enough said.
