Lindsay, I am the same as everyone else, I Love your long tutorials not only that, But your voice is so soothing. I kinda laughed when you said that about how long your tutorial was, because When you do have short tutorials I always catch myself saying; Lindsay another short tutorial, that one was just so slow! LOL So, YES!!!! I Love your long tutorials too, so Please make some more for us, Pretty Please ; ) : )
I love your long videos. I run on the treadmill in the mornings and love watching your videos. It keeps me sane and my mind off of the time while I'm pushing through the pain.:) The longer the video the better. Thanks for sharing!
what i learned with copics is you can create and mix copics with cool and warm grays.Saved me so much money! awesome video! I'm happy i'm not the only one making Christmas cards lol!
What a wonderful video! Thank you for taking the time to show the video in it's entirety. I enjoy the longer videos where I can see you complete a project from start to finish. I also like that fact that you used your sister-in-law's buttons.
I loved this video. It might have been long but not boring at all. Really taught me a great deal about blending the markers. I really like using this medium. I love this stamp company so much so thanks for sharing that. You never waste time in your videos no matter how long you may think they are. You are always doing something. I hate the videos that you are waiting for someone to get to it! 😊
Thanks for sharing Lindsay!! I never knew you could use all the different brands together...now that I think about it it makes total sense...duh! Lol!! Anyway...very charming and cute card!!
I love how complete you are with all the information, and because you are so animated the time goes quickly. I've been curious about alcohol markers and really enjoyed this video. (So many watercolor markers in my stash, didn't see the need - yet :-)
Michaels sells the Stardust Pens. My store often runs out so I check whenever I'm in. They last a long time but I like to keep a back-up. I found them in silver and clear as well as other colors, but I prefer the clear. When I purchased alcohol markers I went cheap in case I didn't like them, and discovered that the Sharpies and Bics were pretty dark. Taking your advice that they all play nicely together, I extended the sets of Sharpies or Bics with a few individual Copics in the very light colors: gray for shadows, blue for sky, green for grass, pink for cheeks , and brown for fur, plus the clear blender. I have enough colors now that I can do a fair job coloring most things and not much money invested. I have purchased refills for the Copics online.
Really am enjoying Stamp School & all your videos. I actually like the dark edges more then your sample card. Also I really, really want Chameleon pens. Saving up for them. Plus I have the Spectrum Noir Pencils & enjoy using them for blending too.
I really loved this video. You covered so many things I have a hard time with. Thanks looking forward to more in the series. BTW I've never seen that glitter pen before and I've just got to get some, thanks for showing it to us.
Very nice Lindsay! I finally just got my very 1st 2 packs of alcohol markers! Got the Spectrum Noir Core Essentials and the Darks! I want to try and get the Lights and Brights next! Now I have to learn how to learn how to use them properly! But am so excited to finally have some professional markers to color with besides just Crayola or Sharpie! I kept trying to blend them but was hard to do so now that I have proper markers that blend it will be so much easier for me!
I wish I would have known about the spectrum noir markers before I bought a whole set. I have arthritis in my hands and I cannot get the tops off. So frustrating.....thank you for passing this tidbit along to your followers.
+Shidonna Lofton oh, that is too bad, maybe they will take them back or exchange them for the aqua markers (the caps come off easily) or the pencils, it wouldn't hurt to ask, Crafter's Companion seems very reasonable.
Another great video lesson Lindsay. Thank you so much for sharing your vast knowledge with us. There's not one TH-camr on here, IMHO, that shares SO MUCH with their subscribers. I'm one of the ones who loves loves loves your long video's, LOL. I have learned so very much from you, your are truly AMAZING :-) Oh, and I just thought of something your new subs might be interested in. Copic Chaos are only $3.21 at Jerry's Artarama. They have the brush and chisel nib, are refillable and there are 168 colors.
Hi Lindsay, I went to the ArtNeko site and ordered a couple of their stamp sets. Very nice company! And the little girl angel stamp is available by itself or in a sheet of other stamps. I did get the free shipping by mentioning you in the remarks on the PayPal payment page. I'll be busy making Halloween and Christmas cards :)
Your mind is SO amazing Lindsay! All of your videos WOW 😲 me. By the way, I noticed Firefox does show ads whenever I turned off ghostery. I mentioned before that Firefox blocked ads. Ghostery is the best! It even blocks beacons, which attach to your screen and are smaller than a megapixel.
Thank you for providing your stamp school. Just love each episode. I have a question about Copic Markers. I'm thinking about purchasing a set of 72, but not sure if I should get the Classic or Sketch. What would you recommend for someone who just makes cards and practices Zentangle?
+debra vanzant I'd get the sketch so you will have a brush end and a chisel end, the orginal Copic have a bullet end and a chisel end. The Caio have a brush and chisel too and they are a bit cheaper because the barrel holds less ink but any of them can be refilled so it is not a huge deal:) 72 markers will nice to play with:)
Beautiful card Lindsay, you amaze me with your artistic talent! I am sensitive to the alcohol markers, can I use watercolor markers if I stamp with an archival ink? Thank you.
Beautiful card. I love the adult coloring books out there right now....I also started Zentangle, have you tried it yet? Tell me your thoughts, very relaxing which has come in handy for me this past little while. TFS
Hi Lindsay,Just thought I would let you know that you can still buy the Tria markers here in the UK though they are more expensive than promarkers and are mostly sold in sets.
Hi Lindsay! I am trying some alcohol markers and I'm wondering what the best weight/type of cardstock for the alcohol markers. I looked for the Neenah brand, which you've mentioned a few times, but there are different weights, so I don't know which would be best. I have some of the Michael's Reflections brand.
+JeanneGS1 I get the 80# and layer it on a card because even the heavier stuff bleeds through (except Gina k heavyweight, that does not bleed through.)
+Patcrochets - I got some on line and the clear glitter just made a really thin line like a sharpened pencil. Do yours do a wider line, or am I just being unrealistic in my expectations? Thanks Dee
+Deirdre Powers Hmmm, I thought the line was good, never really thought about the thickness. It is about the size of an ink pen. I would think you could do another line next to the first if you wanted it to look thicker. I liked the way Lindsay used it to highlight the stamped image. Made it look like a raised image. I also use it to color over a snow flake or star image to add sparkle. Hope this helps, not sure I really answered your question...
+Patcrochets You answered it well. Thank you. I really liked the way Lindsay used hers on the peacock in the stamping school #7, and mine weren't working like that at all. I even had to tap the pen on the table to get any glitter to come out at all. Maybe, I just got some bad ones, but Blick's customer service was very good, so I have no qualms about buying something else from them in the future. I always use Lindsay's links so she can get credit. Thanks for taking the time to let me know about your own glitter pens. That was kind of you. Dee
Hi Lindsay! I won some Chartpak AD markers and I was wondering if you are familiar with them? They are solvent-based (xylene). Do you think I could use them in the same way you are using alcohol markers? I'm pretty much just using them now to draw cartoons of my Cairns but I learn a lot from you about blending and shading and such! As always, thanks for all your great videos!
Thank you for this awesome tutorial I love trying all supplies we have pastel bic markers in Canada as well neons I think I am going to play. The only thing is my blender pen and alcohol for my alcohol inks is in storage will regular Alcohol work?
Hi Lindsay! You can send your "crappy" cards to me anytime, because your "crappy" would make me happy lol :) Nice tip to use the glitter pen in the lines of the stamp! I would've just colored over the stars and halo which is kinda boring. The cute angel stamp reminds me of the popular primitively 90's stamps and cross stitch patterns - I still have them! What goes around, comes around :)
I think they both look cute. I found the Trias are still being made but they no longer make the reinkers as far as I can tell, at least I haven't found a way to order them. I have some of their reinkers from way back when the polished stone technique was all the rage. Anyway, if anyone wants to check out their selection their addy is: www.letraset.com/default.asp They have 3 styles of alcohol markers. The prices seem to be decent, but they can't be reinked so there's that to consider.
+Viki Banaszak I just got a response from Letraset about the reinkers. Apparently the newer markers were using refill cartridges and those have also been discontinued. : Thank you for your interest in Letraset items. We are sorry to inform you that Tria cartridges and ink bottles are discontinued. You can consult this website: www.jacksonsart.com/Brands-A-Z_All_Brands-Letraset-Letraset_Tria_Marker_Refill_Cartridges/c2200_1044_887_678/index.html?page=3You will find some remaining stocks. Please let us know if you need any further information.Best regards, Also my refills don't match the Tria marker system they match the Pantone system so I can't even tell if they still have markers to match. So sad.
+Deirdre Powers the clear is a megamount by Impression Obsession, I think they are out of stock, The rock a blocks are at Joann.com or crafterscompanion.com
+thefrugalcrafter Lindsay Weirich I tried typing in the address impression obsession, but nothing came up. Do you know a link, please? I have essential tremor, so stamping clean images is difficult for me. How are you attaching your stamp to the megamount? I think you told me that there was a site where I might get the Big Shot magnetic platform for $29.99, but I can't find that post. Stampin Up wants $40.00 and I really need a cheaper alternative. Thank you for being so patient and answering my all my many questions. I will continue to sing your praises to every vender I buy from.
I love your longer real time videos Lindsay. Don't apologize ,just make more. (-:

I love the longer, detailed videos!! Thanks! :)
+Julie Anne I just posted a new one today:)
Really sweet card, I like the way you colored the doily. Years ago they had this Christmas in July, where you started your projects early.
Thank you for Stamp School!

yes ma'am! don't work the paper as much as I do with alcohol markers though, it will pill it but the wc markers should blend easier so it works out:)
awesome

Thank you for this awesome tutorial I love trying all supplies we have pastel bic markers in Canada as well neons I think I am going to play. The only thing is my blender pen and alcohol for my alcohol inks is in storage will regular Alcohol work?

First like and first comment and first view! Wonderful video!
can you stamp with the ink from the alcohol marker like you do with the waterbased markers?
Thanks for the great video. I find myself going on TH-cam just to see if you have made one I haven't seen yet. Theresa V.
+Theresa Velazquez thanks! you can subscribe and get a notification too!
Hi LIndsay, Which size of Angel stamp from Art Neko did you use - there are two sizes, small and regular. thank you
I'd say regular, it is good size!
Hi Lindsay, I wanted to add gold leafing to my card, do you have a video on an easy way to do this? Thank you :)
+Deborah Anne I do but can't link from my phone. Search foil on my channel, I did a video early this year using gold leaf and foil.
If you think the card that you were coloring crappy you could mail it to me...lol....I think you did a really nice card...tfs
Where did you get your rock a block stamper, Please, and the largest one you have. I have some very big unmounted stamps. Thank you.

Where are the best prices for copic markers?
Where do I get the colour dusters? They seem to no longer be available online. :-/
+Niamh-Learns I think joann.com has them
Trying to get to the art Neko website. It says I do not have permission to access this website 🙁??
That is so weird. I had sirens go by at the same time they went by while I was watching your video.
