They nerfed the obj 257 It now has armor equal to the udes, anything that hits it overmatches it. It has 40 and 20mm plates all over now, nerfed from 65 - 100 to 20 - 40. Absolute garbage.

Well, yeah, I admit that it's long past the time where they could have removed the premium ammo to make armor relevant (so you wouldn't see E-100s cowering behind the arty and TDs). They're so hopelessly addicted to the supposed profits from the use of gold ammo that they make more work for themselves 'fixing' their game in order to accommodate it. All this effort could be better spent, say, designing and testing new maps, maybe?
I bought the Defender shortly after release as a trainer tank for my IS-3 and others, pretty much sight-unseen. I had heard the armor was good and after fighting with a few of them, I decided I wanted one too. It's only as the sales carried on that the true "power" of the vehicle came to the forefront- and what a problem it became. It's no surprise it (and other "problem" tanks like the Chrysler K) haven't been sold again. In all, I don't play it very much, save for when I'm frustrated with the game, MM, etc. It is the ONLY tier 8 tank that can go head-to-head with tier 10 tanks of virtually any stripe without too much trouble- the armor is immense, and it's gun is able to punch holes in most mediums, and even some softer heavies. With the exception of artillery (which are infinitely more annoying than any thickly-armored tank imho, but I digress) there's not much that can just roll in and "beat up" a Defender. You don't "One Shot" a Defender- ever. Even the Japanese Type 5 can't pull that trick, and there's something to be said for that. It's low skill. It's not dynamic. Most of the time I want something much more mobile or with a faster, more dangerous weapon (like the Skorpion or even the Rev); but if I'm having a bad night and I want to sock the current broken mm/arty meta in the jaw, the Defender is my tank of choice to do just that.
How are you able to keep moving at the start of the match when you pause the game? I thought this got removed a while back- certainly when I open the pause menu my tank stops dead every time and it's annoying as hell.

The German D.W. heavy tanks could be penned by russian 76 & 57 easy whilst those guns can't really go against the KVs. M6? That thing is just like T28, quite easy to chew up. Further up the tier, Russian Mediums can do a lot against those Panther & Tiger whilst IS tanks? Nightmare to face. Only rare american heavies are what I've so far seen able to combat them aside from 152 & 122 of the russians themselves. And i mean rare american heavies because there's not a lot of people playing american tanks.

I would go for putting in a loadout cap for premium rounds and make that cap proporational with regular ammo
