Wow, high praise, and deservedly so, for those who can appreciate the specs and bespoke elements, as opposed to mere brand names, at that price point. Chris, If that’s yours’ you’re a lucky man. I think it is awesome. It surely must be one of the thinnest Valjoux 7750 movement watches I have ever seen (and I have owned a lot). To get that movement inside a watch under 14mm thick is an achievement on it’s own and the finishing is top notch. JLC is (until now) the entry level to hand finishing and in their entry level models it is only a fairly small amount of hand finishing. To be given these choices is amazing really. I bought a similarly specced strap from Hirsch’s artisanal range over 15 years ago (large scale croc - top side and small pebble grain croc on the inside), it was over £300 back then so I’m sure you would be lucky to pick that strap up for less than £500. Very nice watch, definitely interested!!

I think that claiming that these are hand finished and hand decorated is at best disingenuous. In horology, these terms mean something, we should not dilute them with this kind of marketing.
These are not claims but actual facts. If you would like to see how these are finished please see Dan's IG or Facebook page. Obviously he does not hand finish every single part of the movement, but for the most visible part he does and he does it extremely well. So the meaning of the terms HAND FINISHED is applied here correctly and no one is trying to dilute anything. Once you see the watch in person you will never look at 7750 or any other watch brand in this price category ever again.

As soon as I heard “I’m a watch expert but I didn’t realize this was a 7750” it was game over on this infomercial. The freaking dial tells you it’s a 7750 because they ALL look like that. For this much money go buy a Fortis, Sinn, Oris, Damasko etc etc ANY of those would be smarter purchases
Hey I agree - its affordable when compared to other watches with hand finished movements and case components. However yes its technically more attainable (if you are looking for a watch with finishing at this level) than affordable.
This would look plush with black leather smooth straps stiched in white...42mm is sweet for this kind of chrono, the watch looks epic, really has visual quality, but at that price point, you're looking towards entry level Breitling and that lives this in the cold...

However a majority of my content in Non paid reviews and news.
That being said this watch would get the same review of I got to keep the watch or not... Hopefully that makes sense again thanks for the comment!
Oh and forgot to say this the brand owner is in Brooklyn NY where I work so we met for coffee. But I do meet many brand owners in general if I can, especially for micro and independent brands as they are part of what your buying...
4K for this, wow!
Thank you so much for your comment. I hope to work with you sometime in near future! Dan Royter
Quite the bargain compared to a Daytona. With that personalisation it's a real keeper.
Thank you so much for your positive comment. It really means a lot to me and the brand. I hope to work with you sometime in the near future! Dan Royter
Yeah...they just won...this is the bar for attainable.
Thank you so much for your comment! I appreciate it. Dan Royter
@@royterwatches2540 No...that's one Hell of a watch. Seriously.
@@royterwatches2540 So...I took a long while (3 weeks) searching for comparatives, both in production and historical or out of production. Every 'near hit' missed on one or another element. Nothing had the complete piece for the price. Comparatives...There are none.
That is a good looking watching...
Looks like a Brellum.
Better this than the IWC/Hot Wheels abomination.
Charles, thank you so much for your positive comment. It really means a lot to me and the brand. I hope to work with you sometime in the near future! Dan Royter
@@thewatchbsession looked at the Instagram, I stand by my statement.
@@nssomething8370 cool! suggestion: design your watch, create it, hand finish it, market it, then will talk...
@@thewatchbsession LOL
the movment looks like omega work. omega manufacturing their 7750 this way. nothing special here even the rotor shape looks like omeg's
Rel thank you so much! I appreciate your feedback. There are many great brands out there for sure! In terms of value it is hard to put a price on a labor of love. Much work goes into each and every single timepiece. Starting from a complete disassembly of the movement to work on each and every hammer with applying straight graining, beveling, gold/rhodium plating, black polishing of each and every visible screw, carving out and polishing counter sink of the bridge is something I do because I appreciate the high end watchmaking and hopefully the customer appreciates it and finds value in the labor. I was inspired to create such timepieces because not many brands offer hand finishing and customization, let alone assembly and all work done by one watchmaker - who controls the quality from the beginning to end, additionally follows up with each step of the timepiece creation. My goal is to deliver not only an exceptionally hand finished timepiece but an experience that is hard to come by in this price range. Dan Royter
$3'999 nice watch but I would not pay that much for it.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your feedback. There are many great brands and names out there for sure! Royter - was the last name of my great grandmother who was a holocaust survivor. I named the watch after her because it has a deep meaning for me and the family. Dan Royter
independent Swiss look no further than Eberhard & Co. their Novolari Vanderbilt cup hunter case back has a v 7750 all hand done and completely redone.
An investment id say
Yeah, every watch cool until you know their price & start comparison with other variants on the market for this price
Or when You try to sell it after 😉
I think the selling point is the hand finishing and the other chronos at this price point are lat cam not column wheel? And anyway most Vals are £5000+

4k$?Affordable?Hmm...
Ah,got it.First world problems 😜
I've never even spent an eighth of that for a watch, but it might be affordable for that level of craftsmanship v0v
It's affordable considering the level of finish and details where as anything close to this would be in the 10k+ range
Considering that is sold directly online, without AD, it is comparatively more expensive than a Rolex Daytona.

I don't think this watch should be called "affordable."

Meanwhile Rollie still claiming not to overcharge at $10K for an SS Sub with QC issues, lol.
$5500 USD isn’t really “affordable” my dude
lol....Affordable? Buy a Pagani for a hundred bucks and a car with what's left over.

Save yourself some money, don't buy this watch
