    Hi, the rear boxes are for luggage, carried them by a regulation.

    They are FIA required luggage space for the GT40. In the 1960's to race at Le Mans the car needed to have space for FIA standard suitcase, which function the sidepods fulfilled.

    if anyone say's you can't do a classic GT40 as a modern road car has not seen the Superformance GT40, it's so close to the real thing that 90-95% of parts fit the original 1960's Ford GT40's

    I'm not 100% sure about this Paul, but I believe for some of the1960s, cars racing at Le Mans had to be able to carry luggage. That would be the reason for those boxes either side of the exhaust. You were right to change the wheel colour as well. Great job!

    Fuel tanks on GT40 is normally under the door sill along the side on both sides.

    Modern day road car with no belts for the passenger Paul - bit cruel that....!! :) New colour on the wheels looks much better to me!
