My garden is flourishing. I've kept mulch/hay around plants. This is first year no till--i have red clay soil. Started making a 6×3 in February area into a 8× 12 area now. Because of your knowledge shared my garden next year will at least double in size. I have a vision of what my sustainability will be. I was disabled by an undetected back injury from 30 yrs ago hit me 2 yrs ago. Now that I can get around on my own somewhat my vision is sustainability. Our 7 acres are paid off but surrounded by 4 acres of woods. God does and will open and close doors for His purpose and glory. Samantha with you knowledge and God's help I am building something to pass on to my children and my grandbabies along with nutritional homegrown food. Eventually adding some livestock in the future if I live long enough or physically capable to do it. Thank you for your love, information and especially inspiration to farmsteading/homesteading. Where there is a will there is a way. Some people don't realize that where there is a will there is a way. But if that will don't align with God nothing prospers. Even thru struggles....praise God. Amen Ty for your testimony to God’s love and grace. I’m so proud of you. Sincerely, I am! You are correct your garden will last a lifetime doing it the way you’re doing it
My vision goes beyond my life time. Just hope my grandbabies see my vision along with their own life. Tomorrow is not guaranteed so live and produce today. Tomorrow what you left planted will prosper with loved ones left behind planting the right seeds going forward. Hi from England 🏴 😊. For the algorithm. Also, just seeing 👀 my garden start going into overdrive . 1st year, and learning lots. About gardening and About myself. God bless you Sam and God bless your United States of America 🇺🇸 🙏 🙌 ❤️
Samantha is certainly the one to ask your questions!!! if she doesn’t know (but she will most likely ❤️) she will find out for you! ps- sorry friend this has been a rough month for me. But, next month, I should be good. 🥰 ❤️
That's a lot of rain for sure. I'm glad everything seems to have made it. We didn't have pounding rain but we did have high winds with a mix of hail and rain.. a few things in the yard got a little beat up but they will survive. Yep 2024 is turning out to be full of surprises .,hum. Be well my friend 🙏
The weather is crazy. I am starting to plant my summer stuff now, and every week we are cloudy and rainy, and we see the sun maybe two days a week. Planted for years and last year and this year totally different.
The wood from lens that fall on your property and the leaves from the trees on your property are also some of the best mulches you can use for your soil
Mulch works wonders, I live on a high water table here old marsh land, heavy layers of mulching my chicken run all year has made all the difference it is no longer a muddy swamp when heavy rain comes!
Last year we got so much rain that it laid our corn flat..it was already around 5ft tall...my husband and me went one by one and stood them back upright and built mud mounds around the base about a foot high.. packed it in good...was it hard work..yes..was it messy..yes..but in the end every stock survived and produced beautiful corn...don't ever think it's over..

I am having problems even mowing! I feel like I have lost of my veggies. Because of too much rain…
Sorry to hear that
We are getting major storms here
Oh wow. Praying for you
I was worried about mold in hay mulch i used this winter and my sweet potatoes and green onions didn’t come back but everything else was fine
It won’t bother your plants at all.
corn does not do well in a lot of heavy rain
Or wind ❤️🤣
