Those days in 2000s it was less crowded less commercialized by looking at your pictures.i can also remember the Prasad I bought in one of the temple compound shops the rava laddu was full of sticky fungus.😡😡. I hope it's improved now and there is health department checking these out dated packaged Prasad Hare Krishna
As a person who lived in Udupi, I can vouch safe the presentation. Now the Paryaya Ceremony, handing over Lord Krishna Temple management by handing the main Key of the Temple, by one Mata to another Mata is held once in two years, generally in mid january of even years. One must attend and witness Paryaya atleast once in ones life time.
In the earlier times it was once in 2 months for more than 250 years.During Vadhiraja Thirtha Sripadangalavatu times in 16th century, the rotation was changed to once in 2 years.I have heard this from my family elders.

We live a life which gives importance to culture. We live according to the caste system Don't come here and spoil our tradition 😅 You better stay away from Karnataka 😂
