I'm still debating if I want to try WoW again for a bit, but this definitely makes me want to try evoker haha. I always thought mage was super interesting but could never bring myself to really play it for the reasons you mentioned. Then I tried DH but just preferred monk since I can be a Panda and heal as well. But I always missed their double jump. Evoker seems like a nice mix of mechanics and I hope this is a glimpse of the future of some fun unique classes. Great video and editing!
Go for it! I've played both Mage and Demon Hunter. I think Demon Hunter has slightly better survivability, but if you want a mobile mage who can also heal, Evoker is the way to go!
@@dankujcreations honestly I've returned to wow after 3 years of FFXIV and made me realize a few things: - it is a lot faster than what I remembered. - the graphics are more cartoony thanhose from FF - the classes and the combat are really enjoyable To sum up, I'm having a lot of fun in WoW at the moment and made me realize that I love FFXIV a lot more than I thought. They are different games and both have their strengths, so by playing both I can appreciate both in different ways. This is just personal experience but I would suggest trying it out
0:30 Mages, if you look at them from Classic, do have one of the best mobility in Blink and using their Shields also very good survivability. The issue is that Blizzard builds in enemies immune to Frost Nova, and since Mages don't evade allot shields are gone fast. Not to forget the buggyness of Blink where you end up blinking one feet because of a minor stone in your way or something. The Warriors charge has less issues despite it working the similar game internally. 3:25 Funnily Dractyr male's Visage is that of a Blood Elf male, and Dractyr female's Visage is that of a Human female.
@@Kyosika I didn't play a Evoker to level 70. All I did was get two through the starting zone. The DPS Evoker is allot channeling that one skill, healer is... weird. In a bad way weird. The whole Evoker feels like they stuffed him full of new mechanics, for those mechanics sake. I leveled a Mage to 70, and it was a pain. I remember leveling a Mage in Burning Crusade, and back then everyone leveled as Frost, because Ice Bolt slows. Later in Cataclysm they added a slow to all three specs, the Arcane Mage got a talent that used "auto-slow" when you Arcane Blast an enemy, Fire got the same as a debuff on Fireball. Just now all you have is either Frost Bolt or Slow. So yeah, I did level it because I thought you get that Firelands-Staff mount account wide, but no it is only for people with the staff and they need to be 70 and have done the quest.
It is the last quest you get before starting to level on the different factions. So for example if you created a char on alliance you'll be on storm wind and before you go to the dragon isles, Wrathion will teach you how to transform. It is a spell just like the ones for worgen. We can only change to 'human" out of combat and you have a spell that will change automatically
Mage little survivability wot they have shield mass shield invis+ the invis damage reduction. Ice block heal you 80% health shields now heal you. Blink gives shields. Mirror images tank for you and heal you 15% health. Alter time….
only use dragon riding mount while on dragon isle, well that aged poorly. now every mount has dragon riding everywhere. you can heal yourself, you know who can do that warriors, and they kinda do it pasivly without having to waste time on healing, it's all part of our kit. i can literally grab up hordes of enemies on my warrior and nuke them down. without having to worry about mobility, i can tank and dps. i don't care about healing i tried it on my shaman and paladin it's boring. the real problem with evoker healers, they are not learning over time how to heal effectivly, they make and evoker, and bam you are flooded with sub par to horrible healers.
@@Kyosika that's kinda my point, most people who play say paladins or priest or what have you that can heal, they learn over time as they are leveling from one, but evokers they kinda just start near that end game level and unless you are the type to really research, you saw the game get flooded with sub par evoker healers. it's like back in wotlk days, when dks could tank, and we got a tonne of dk tanks, who thought they could tank in any spec.

They have some! I prefer Evoker for the survivabilty but I still love Mage!

Healing with evoker is not as straightforward as I first thought haha. But it works!
