One of the best cars on the road, my 2014 1.6 TDl Combi currently has 253,000 miles on it, with no issues whatsoever other than a new alternator needed around 210k. Original engine, gearbox and clutch, all perfect. Regular oil changes at 10k, with timing belt changes every 100k and gearbox oil changes at the same interval. Doesn’t look too dated in my opinion. Basic car but very reliable and cheap to run.
Hello from Athens Greece, i have a 2017 Octavia Combi 1.6 TDI DSG. I love it. I don't change it even for a Lambo. (Because I'm 48 not 18) It is my daily driver, my micro car camper and my transport truck. Let's go Skoda !!!😉
I have a Mk11 2012 Octavia Scout, with the 2.00 diesel and 6 speed DSG. We bought it new and have done 200,000klms. I have never kept a car longer than about 4 years, but, this has been such a good car, I think it will just stay on as the family run around.
Have you had any problems with the gearbox? I'm thinking of getting and automatic octavia but as he says in the video DSG isn't the most reliable. What's your experience with this?
I have a 1.0 tsi. Surprisingly nippy, 50 to 60 mpg, now up to 70,000 miles with no problems. Probably change it in the next year, but will miss it. It has been a cracking car.
@TheFishface95 a proper review. He rarely does those now. It's just "I bought a cheap" churned out again and again. Apparently they get more views, which is odd since the majority of his viewers probably started watching due to his excellent reviews. I can't remember the last time he reviewed an interesting car. JayEmm on Cars is quite good if you're missing decent reviews of petrol cars.
Skoda is underrated. I relay like the discrete and classy look. The appearance is not offending like on a BMW or Audi. I used to have a 2013 Superb Alldrive (Scout, in some countries) and have a Superb Estate Laurin & Klement 2019 now. I got a nice deal and bought it new and I still love it!!! The touch screen is quite good and always obey my fingers. Can´t say that about the coffee machine at work. I guess it´s a newer generation infotainment in my car, it has no knobs at all. That generation Octavia you driving in this video is nice as well. The later one looks like a Kia, In a bad way.
The 'should you buy' videos is the reason i got hooked on this channel, i dont mind the odd 'i bought a cheap' video but i think its being overdone, id like to see the reviews become a staple of this channel once again.
Have a 2018 1.6 TDI estate as my taxi. Bought it with 86k miles a year ago, now on 124k. It’s nothing exciting to look at, but it’s unbelievably comfortable, and unbelievably economical too. Customers always compliment the space in the car. I really can’t fault the car, although your opinion on the infotainment system is pretty spot on. The only downside is it’s a 5 speed gearbox and not a 6 speed. So motorway mpg probably isn’t quite as good as the 2.0 TDI
@@Mr330d no injector issues as yet, 10k miles ago, I had to have the rocker cover gasket replaced as it had a hairline crack and it started to leak oil. New rocker cover, engine mount and injector seals. Other than that, no other mechanical issues at all.

@@JohnnyPaton the funny thing is, I nearly ended up buying the 1.5 TSI, I’ve driven a superb with the 1.5 and it felt rather gutless. That’s what put me off. My last Octavia taxi was a 2.0 TDI, a 2014, sold that with just shy of 200k on the clock, all it had done to it was the clutch and dual mass flywheel and regular servicing every 10k
Whilst I used to be an Audi fan, I wouldn’t touch one these days (or a VW)… but I would have a Skoda tomorrow! There is obviously some better engineering going on at Skoda behind the scenes, the reliability figures back it up. I get that Skoda share a large proportion of components from VAG… but why are they getting it so right!?!
I had a 2016 Octavia Scout. It was the car I needed, not the car I wanted but it was great. It went everywhere, it was amazing in the snow and despite it being short of a proper off roader it was brilliant on the sticky stuff. Good on fuel, cheap to run. It got written off when someone decided to treat a Stop sign as a suggestion!
Cannot CANNOT get a better all rounder. People LOVE love LOVE them. Does nothing wrong and is perfect motoring. The Welsh especially like them. I quite like a Multipla comment made me chuckle.
Love our Skodas, had a 2017 Skoda Superb Estate 2.0 tdi with DSG, changed that for a Skoda Kodiaq 2.0 tdi, changed that for a 2023 Audi Q8 etron, but now have a 2017 Skoda Rapid Spaceback 1.4 tdi as our second car.
Great review Matt, being a fanatical Škoda enthusiast, to say I am slightly biased would be the understatement of the century, however, as you rightly said Octavia’s are reliable, honest, value for money family transport. Their durability endorsed by the fact that around 8 out 10 taxis are Škoda’s , and around 8out of 10 of those Škoda taxis are Octavias. A famous blue Octavia featured on TH-cam has covered over 400,000 miles, this example was named Miles because of this tremendous feat❤.
Enjoyed it as a hire car - racked up a couple of thousand miles in the process, soaked up 2 enormous suitcases with each, easy to drive and comfortable.
I've owned my 2010 octavia vrs estate for 20 months/30.000 km (18600 miles) and the only time it refused to start was earlier this year when the battery died, I love it and will keep it as long as I can
I drove around in a 1.9l turbo diesel for nearly 18 years. Bought it brand new. Comfortable, practical and reliable. Oh I nearly forgot, cheap to run too. I would recommend highly but buy a model with all the extras. It transforms a good car into luxury one. A pleasure to drive with heated leather seats on in winter and wonderfully efficient ac in summer. The ac never re-gassed in 17 years but still pumping out cold air on demand. Not many cars that will do that.
Mate I've got a Skoda Superb sportline 190 4x4 Absolutely love it... Best car I've ever owned.. Although I once had a citroen bx, but that's another story..!!😂
These are the favourite car for cabbies for good reason, they are capable of starship mileage, they are comfortable to be in for a long time, and they are economical. Added to that, there is room for five people, and loads of luggage. We now have the hybrid version, which keeps the local council happy.
I rented one in Crete two years ago, im 2 meters tall and i had loads of headroom and legroom as the driver, i was thoroughly impressed ! also it handled the curvy roads and sometimes steep climbs perfectly as well. 10/10 would buy as a daily driver
Just bought a 2008 1.9 tdi dsg estate off my neighbour for £1200. Spent £450 on a full service which included cambelt and water pump, and £300 on a remap. So impressed. Thankfully found this brilliant review and its made me feel even better about trading my 2.2 d sport Mazda3 2015. I did make £5000 on the swap too
Taxi!! Most times i order a cab it's a diesel Octavia. You see Octavia taxi's everywhere. That must say a lot of good things about them. Spacious, good value, reliable. Very comfortable in the back too. Never wows you but a decent honest all rounder.
I had a 2019 2.0 Diesel company car for three years, and whilst it did everything you would want from a car, it was little more than a white good. You buy a washing machine because you need to clean your dirty clothes, you buy a fridge to keep your food fresh and you buy a Skoda Oktavia because you need to get about. It isn't a car you lust after, it is one you buy to fill a need. I now have a 2023 version and the earlier model was better, in many ways, that the one I have now.
I have a 2007 gen 2 hatchback manual petrol vRS (200bhp) and I love it. I have not spent loads on it as it’s so reliable it’s only ever tyres, brakes servicing etc these are practical when you need it and sporty when you need it it’s a great all rounder
I had the estate in the dark grey metallic colour, with chrome brightwork and tinted windows. I loved it, and so does my brother who bought it from me. Has been in the family 10 years now
Just bought a 2017 1.4 TSI and i’m really impressed. I thought it would be cheap, boring, but reliable car. It turned out to be really comfortable, spacious, fun to drive and reliable car. Fell in love with it from the first day.
Hey, me too, I read a great review of it being a value buy in Auro Express mag,(1litre I think ) but I went for a more expensive option, of a 1.4 TSI SE mid range model, best car I've ever owned, it's really nippy but especially wonderful on the motorway.
Just bought my 7th. I use them as taxis. 1.6 diesel estate makes the best cab. Frugal fuel consumption, massive load space and long running parts. I’ve had 2 fords and a Toyota in between and they’re not a patch on Skodas
My Sister always had one from the mark one and she got the 23 model year, they just get better and better. VRS 2.0D on a 17 plate in my humble opinion has been the best, reminds me so much of the Audi A4 B6 and B7 models. great cars
Hired an Octavia estate car about three years ago and that was a plug in hybrid petrol. Obviously a few years newer than the one you're reviewing. It took about 6 hours to charge from a wall socket and got us around 35 miles before it ran out of electrickery. It had regenerative braking which put little more into it which got us into and out of service areas and onto and off the ferry. I was impressed.
I had one of these as a company car for a while when my Mazda6 blew up during lockdown. I liked it much more than I expected to. It is still on the fleet today with well over 100,000 miles on it. Much better car than the Mazda. 1.6 diesel, 60-70 mpg 5 speed manual. In no way slow. Even in bright red, it was utterly un-noticeable!
My dad had a 2020 Octavia estate. Mobility car. He loved it.. but was getting a bit to low for him. He now has a 2024 kodiaq 1.5 petrol and he's very impressed with it...I'm old enough to remember the 80's Skoda we had here in the UK. With the side opening bonnet... And even I'm impressed with both the Skoda's my dad's had.. and yes the kodiaq has the 2 cylinder mode..and kicks in quicker than the Octavia did..and has proper heater control switches..not all is on the screen
Love our 1.4 Does just over 50 mpg on a motorway run. Low 40s round where we live (town and bypass) Its not slow but not the fastest either. Glad we bought it 👍
I had a 66 plate petrol estate VRS in race blue - the only car I’ve ever ordered from the factory. It was great and ran faultlessly for 4 years before I changed it for a Superb Sportline Plus. An incredibly competent and underrated car.
@@wakaflockaproject decent. Mixed driving was around 35mpg but on a long run, you’d see 40 easily and often 45. Having said that, drive like you’re on fire and it’d be low 20s.
My 2012 MK2 Octavia Scout is a 2.0 TDI w/ DSG. Zero issues with the engine and box, BUT it had oil changes at half recommended intervals, 3 or 4 DSG oil and filter changes and currently sitting at 170k miles. I guess if you take good care of something it lasts.
Had a 1.6d as a company car from new for 4 years, excellent car and workhorse. Did about 120k in it mostly fully loaded with tools and materials, I would definitely buy one with my own money if needed an estate again.
Im only on my 2nd Skoda having bought a 2007 Octavia Lauren & Klement hatchback with the 2 litre diesel and 6 speed manual back in Juky 2015 and I put 75,000 miles on it in just under 8 years and it neber really let me down ..... Yes I'd to spend some cash on it but nitning like id spent on my previous Citroen Xantia or C5 ..... I had a white vrs one. Think it was on a 18 plate, used as a company car. It was mega, remember going to Wrexham in it once for work, I actually thought the fuel guage was broken, it was that good on fuel. Absolutely loved it, wish I bought it from the lease company tbh. Did everything you needed, economic, decent performance and really practical for family life.
I've owned 2 of these, a Mk1 and a Mk2. Vastly underrated car. The Octavia Estate is/was Europe's best selling estate car. My Mk2 Elegance 2.0 Tdi Estate was a brilliant motorway cruiser. The 2021 Skoda I have at the moment, has those nice touches - the parking ticket holder, little sliding cubbies under the front seats, the ice scraper in the fuel cap, and an umbrella in the driver's door. My 2001 Fabia Estate was the first car I'd seen with those little hooks in the boot to hang bags on, and also had the sliding storage trays under the front seats. Under the bonnet, just about everything has VW stickers..... Skoda almost always do way better in customer satisfaction surveys than VW themselves do..... I once met a guy in a petrol station, who was in a new Mk2 Octavia. I asked him what he thought of it. He said it was a company car, and when he was first told he'd be getting a Skoda Octavia, he felt disappointed and dismayed. But after 6 Months and 15k miles, he said he aimed to buy it once the company renewed the fleet. Says it all....
Loved my Octavia I had a 1.6tdi DSG and it was a brilliant car. Practical, versatile and just did what it was meant to. About 5 years after I got rid of it I bought a brand new Karoq which was great but the boot was nowhere near as big.
Just bought a MK3 Octavia Scout in race blue, and it's by far the most comfortable car I have been in. I love how understated and capable it is! Can imagine it being keeper for along time to come 😁
Just a good honest car, nothing flashy, nothing loud about it. It's just the way it needs to be, if you want something reliable, honest and not a toyota prius.
We have the 6 speed manual 2017 Octavia Scout version ours is now on 179k miles, what a brilliant car super comfortable on long trips, very well equipped fantastic reliability and such great quality. These Octavia's are really great cars. Even though our car has had plenty of use in all weathers it's always properly serviced and to be honest it drives as good as 30k mile car. I hoping mine lasts another 100k miles and I really think it will, such a capable car. Well done Skoda!
I’ve had a 1.2 hatchback for ten years now she has been a great work horse plenty of space also the 1.2 turbo engine feels just like the non turbo 1.8 engine in my old Ford mondeo
Hi Matt loving the channel. I drove 400 miles yesterday in my daughter’s 1.0 2010 yaris. Speed between 55-70 all day. The computer showed 72.2 mpg. (1.0 krfe engine in all psa mini cars) when I topped it up tank to tank it had done 61 mpg. Slow yes functional incredible done 90k had from 19 k not a single fault except servicing. Boring but buy christ as a learner car what a car
Had a Mk 1 for fifteen years: what a great economical reliable family car. Bought a Passat to replace it but if I’d found a Superb first would have quite happily bought it . Skodas are great cars!
I have a green 2014 vrs tdi as my daily. Its such a good car. The bright colour and it being a vrs stops it from being completely boring, although I get that the green is probably not everyones cup of tea.
Bought this car with 1.6 diesel and it was surprisingly fast, I never expected it. It was a DSG which might’ve helped, but it never felt underpowered. Sold it because the automatic can’t be serviced and the touch screen is hell, I despised it, too distracting while driving, too dangerous… but it is a perfect family car. Can’t beat this. And feels incredible for a Škoda. Quiet, comfortable ride with amazing fuel economy
I was told that lower powered engines use dry clutch system which can’t be serviced and when it goes, you have to buy a new one. I did some research as well and read peoples’ experiences and decided I don’t want to have that risk. It just means it isn’t for me. It is the most popular brand in my country and for a good reason. Just isn’t for me
I actually love skoda in general. I think that you get a lot for your money, even if they don't have as much features and luxuries that you might get from VW & audi. I have a skoda fabia estate 2016 DSG & I love it, its been really good for me with space too + needing something cheap to insure!

I have owned two Skoda Octavia estates. Both diesel and both very reliable. There was an issue with a warning to say stop and put it in to park. Had an update and it’s cleared. Timing belt done at just about 100,000, and have just passed 133,000 miles. Lots of space and very safe. Hoping to upgrade to a Skoda Kodiaq in the near future.
Acquired 2014 mk 3 petrol last summer 1:4 , low milage, must say apart from slave cylinder issue ( plastic pipes, seals etc ) go brittle , been a GREAT car, very impressed.....forgot CD player in glove box.
Just been watching a video about a Maserati Granturismo, saw one at the petrol station the other day, it sounded wonderful and looked like it cost a lot more than it actually did. Now I’ve clicked to a video of an Octavia. The ultimate sensible car! I bought an ex demo Octavia in 2002, I wanted a Golf but couldn’t afford one. The Octavia was certainly a bit of a poor relation, cheapo trim and poor brakes, still rear drums back then where a Golf would have discs, but still a decent, solid car. Despite buying it from main dealer it’s the only car I ever sold at a profit!
I love the line “ there’s no hard scratchy plastics”, just as the camera was panning over exactly that , plastered all over the door interior elbow rest !! That tiny issue aside; a great review of a fab car . Thanks ! 👍
I looked at these before I got my civic, they are great dailys that cover pretty much everything in one package, spacious, economical, reliable, fast enough and as others have said one of the first choices for taxis. They also have a brilliant turning circle compared to most modern cars. Only negative just a bit bland (can be a positive if you love the anomnity) and definitely a car you choose with your head.
Did a few thousand miles in a rental one a few years ago (1.5 petrol). Remarkably anonymous but pleasant car with more than enough space and a huge boot in a small footprint. Would happily have one as a daily if they were available in my country.

Ive had 3 a Mk 1 and 2 Mk 2 's all 1.9 tdi's, never had to put a spanner on them in 80K miles I had the last two remapped so the performance was enhanced. They delivered excellent MPG. Towed a small varavan and a horsebox with ease. I've only gone for a Kia now because of the enhanced tech available in a PHEV.
Hired one of these last year when we took a trip down to Cornwall for the week, loved the 1.5. Decided to get a 24 Seat Ateca with the same engine because I liked the 1.5tsi so much. Both the seat and Skodas are great cars.

I have same ...sometimes oils temperature sensor coming, 😮.do you have same issue?
Hello from Athens Greece, i have a 2017 Octavia Combi 1.6 TDI DSG. I love it. I don't change it even for a Lambo. (Because I'm 48 not 18) It is my daily driver, my micro car camper and my transport truck. Let's go Skoda !!!😉
Αλλαξέ το με lambo κ πάρε καμμια 10αριά skoda🤷♂️
@@mythosim1031 Ho Ho Ho !!!
This brand was very popular among taxi driver's in Madrid. They were good work horses and very reliable too capable of doing high millage.
Drivers...
Same with the UK. Most times you call a cab it's an Octavia diesel.
Some of the most underrated cars, Skoda is fantastic. From their little citigo’s to superb’s. Love it!
At last! A proper car review again! 👏 His review of a Skoda Yeti was why I started watching this channel 😊
Mine too😂 I watched it after my Grandpa asked if I'd like to have his Skoda Yeti when he was going to get a Kodiaq😅
@@Godot28 I see... I also watch a couple of german reviewers
I miss these reviews that you do Matt. Always well put together 👍
How about a "Should you buy" review every Sunday?
So motorway mpg probably isn’t quite as good as the 2.0 TDI
compliment the space? get a Superb and they will think they are a Czar or country President. love Skoda since 1999
Any trouble with your injectors ? 🤔
@@Mr330d no injector issues as yet, 10k miles ago, I had to have the rocker cover gasket replaced as it had a hairline crack and it started to leak oil. New rocker cover, engine mount and injector seals. Other than that, no other mechanical issues at all.
don't replace it with a 1.5 TSI whatever you do!!!! My 2015 1.6 TDI was a brilliant taxi for 230k and nothing went wrong. Still on original clutch and no issues with the DPF.
I’ve got a 2017 Audi A3 with that same engine, it’s very decent on fuel, while having more than enough power for everyday driving. Clever.
I have an 8 year old with 200k . 1.6tdi. Great car for long spins. Not too underpowered just change oil every 6months and a new belt in 2021.
He definitely massively overspe-... oh it's not that kind of video
Needs a good buff.
Needs new plates 😂😂
And a set of reg plates. He fits them himself, do you know? 😂. Just messing Matt, we love ya vids. Keep em coming, you deserve all the success
Needs a valet.
No he definitely underspent it’s a Skoda after all 😜
I'm from NZ, I hired a Skoda Octavia estate in the UK in 23, a 1500 cc, 6 speed manual, just like Matt one, what an excellent motor, nearly 50 mpg.
Cannot CANNOT get a better all rounder. People LOVE love LOVE them. Does nothing wrong and is perfect motoring. The Welsh especially like them. I quite like a Multipla comment made me chuckle.
If I needed to buy a car tomorrow, it would be a Skoda Octavia estate..
Of course you would.
I ran my Octavia diesel estate for 500,000mls then px it for another skoda, Reg Campbelt change and buy good oil no problems at all.
@@mariemccann5895 This man knows what he's talking about. Unlike yourself.😂
@@mariemccann5895 jealous?
Expected to see you here Katie 😂 Alex sure does love his Miles. Easy to see why, look after your Skoda and she'll look after you for years
Have owned two Octavias-one diesel and one petrol. Brilliant cars- very reliable and the dealer is better than some i have come across.
Enjoyed it as a hire car - racked up a couple of thousand miles in the process, soaked up 2 enormous suitcases with each, easy to drive and comfortable.
I've owned my 2010 octavia vrs estate for 20 months/30.000 km (18600 miles) and the only time it refused to start was earlier this year when the battery died, I love it and will keep it as long as I can
Just bought a 2023 Octavia VRS. Ex- demonstrator with 1,500 on clock. Very happy with it.
I got a 2014 Skoda Octavia with 326.000 km on it, 1.4 tsi 140 ps with dsg.
It is a real value for money. No problems with the engine or the dsg.
I've got a VRS petrol 220bhp. It's fun to drive, great for the school run and reasonable running costs. Best car I've ever owned.
I have to say Im slowly becoming a Skoda fan its just a simple car, practical and reliable.
Mate I've got a Skoda Superb sportline 190 4x4
Absolutely love it... Best car I've ever owned.. Although I once had a citroen bx, but that's another story..!!😂
My dad has a 2009 skoda octavia white exterior beige interior 1.4 tsi 7 speed dsg and it works really well even after 15 years
My dad has a superb 1.5 tsi, I have to say it’s a great engine it’s really powerful
These are the favourite car for cabbies for good reason, they are capable of starship mileage, they are comfortable to be in for a long time, and they are economical. Added to that, there is room for five people, and loads of luggage.
We now have the hybrid version, which keeps the local council happy.
I have been driving the version 3 facelifted 1.4l TSI. I am loving the ride everyday
My dad had a 20 plate Octavia 1.5 tsi he loved it it was quick economical and smooth
Yes you should - I had a 67 plate 1.4 TSI DSG estate and it was trouble free, economical, brisk, fantastic family car.
Has been in the family 10 years now
We have a 2014 Skoda Octavia saloon base model form brand new and it’s got 117k miles on it and it’s still really good
Just bought a 2017 1.4 TSI and i’m really impressed. I thought it would be cheap, boring, but reliable car. It turned out to be really comfortable, spacious, fun to drive and reliable car. Fell in love with it from the first day.
What about the fuel consumption please
Hey, me too, I read a great review of it being a value buy in Auro Express mag,(1litre I think ) but I went for a more expensive option, of a 1.4 TSI SE mid range model, best car I've ever owned, it's really nippy but especially wonderful on the motorway.
Just bought my 7th. I use them as taxis. 1.6 diesel estate makes the best cab. Frugal fuel consumption, massive load space and long running parts. I’ve had 2 fords and a Toyota in between and they’re not a patch on Skodas
@imonty4633 I use the 1.6 Manual. The auto is good but at high mileage can be expensive to repair. I’d probably go 2 litre in auto
I’ve got the vrs estate, absolutely love it, comfortable, more than quick enough and loads of room for the family, I’d re purchase again
How was the fuel economy on the petrol vrs
I moved up to a 2013 Skoda Superb Hatchback at the end of March 2023 with the 1.6 diesel engine and im loving the extra room in the Suoerb and yet i thiught the Octavia was spacious..... Definitely two of the best car buys I've ever made and ive been driving since Feb 1977
Great video, your content has become surprisingly addictive for someone not looking to buy a car
Glad you like them!
Loved my Octavia I had a 1.6tdi DSG and it was a brilliant car. Practical, versatile and just did what it was meant to. About 5 years after I got rid of it I bought a brand new Karoq which was great but the boot was nowhere near as big.
Our family car is the 2014 1.6 diesel and honestly it has just enough power for what it needs to do.
The joy of blank out switches, reminding you of missing options
Just bought a MK3 Octavia Scout in race blue, and it's by far the most comfortable car I have been in. I love how understated and capable it is! Can imagine it being keeper for along time to come 😁
Just a good honest car, nothing flashy, nothing loud about it. It's just the way it needs to be, if you want something reliable, honest and not a toyota prius.
People don't go for the nice guy but they probably should!
The auto version of this engine is pretty decent too, I have it in a golf estate 2018 👍
Not gonna lie the Green in them definitely stands out I’d have one 😂
That metallic green is a brilliant colour.
I had my DSG auto box serviced. Were you told it was sealed for life? It's nonsense, they can still be serviced.....
Just isn’t for me
Personally I think the Skoda Octavia is one of the best cars Skoda makes and it's perfect for most small families
I actually love skoda in general. I think that you get a lot for your money, even if they don't have as much features and luxuries that you might get from VW & audi. I have a skoda fabia estate 2016 DSG & I love it, its been really good for me with space too + needing something cheap to insure!
I see a blue fabia estate on my commute quite often. It looks awesome. I think its the Monte Carlo edition.
@@MikeyMichaelton yeah the montes look really good with the splitter and diffusers that come standard. I've done a lot of stuff to mine but not tacky and it looks amazing to me 😂
Love my 2019 estate. Looking forward to the review.
Had one for a few years. Great family car, very practical. Skodas are fantastic
Agreed. One of the World's longest established car makers, Skoda produced their first car in 1896....
I had a MK3 vrs petrol and loved it. I put a stage 1 remap and aluminium dog bone mount on it to unleash its true potential and it was fantastic. My sister in law though has a mk3 1.5 petrol and has nothing but problems with it from the cooling system which is apparently common on that engine
I have owned 4 two saloons and have own an estate still own one, with a roof tent on it as with a massive boot it's perfect for family holidays.
Solid....a car crashed into me, a strong car save my life, and affordable....would always recommend one the Scout are cool, plus the VRS....😍
Hi Matt I had my 1st ever skoda when I was 18 it was a skoda estelle 120LSE it was a 1985 model I was an apprentice mechanic with skoda so it made sense. I have owned a felica an octavia my current daily its a skoda citigo. Brilliant little car . But a couple of years ago my daily driver was a bmw m3 a brilliant car but not well suited to the u.k fine for when I was bombing along the German autobahn but it felt wasted in Britain. So I sold it and bought a new skoda superb 2.0 190 tdi dsg sel executive estate. Now that was an awesome car . Great comfort great performance and incredible mpg and value for money. Got to love a skoda ❤
My mom bought one kislux and she loves it. It had been there for over 10 years when she went out with it.
I’ve had a2 litre diesel vrs estate for over 3 years and have no plans to replace it it does everything that I need in a car.it’s economical but very quick when needed.I would recommend getting one to anyone unless you’re a badge snob then go vw and get a lot less car for a lot more money.
The '2 Cylinder Mode' indication on the dashboard is a big clue that the engine is running on only 2 cylinders.
Granturismo is the sports tourer I would buy if I had the money. I've got a hand built model one instead😂
We have a MK3 2.0ltr diesel estate and love it. About 72mpg on a run, and £35.00 to tax.😊
Great review, thanks.
I too like something a little bit quirky. I bought my current car after watching your review on it. I drive a Skoda Yeti.
I think Skoda regretted not keeping it in the product range,ex- Kodiaq 2.0 TDI 5 years fab car and currently driving 4th generation Octavia 1.5 petrol SE Technology driver here. The badge snobs need to remember that as they are from the VAG group common parts throughout just different badges, bodywork etc as I keep telling people, continue enjoying your Yeti.
It's what I would call an "honest car" and that's a good thing.
Hired one of these last year when we took a trip down to Cornwall for the week, loved the 1.5. Decided to get a 24 Seat Ateca with the same engine because I liked the 1.5tsi so much. Both the seat and Skodas are great cars.
