    Thank you so much bro Nicko for the clear explanation of the best spectrum to the plants, that’s why we don’t see any crysp or yellowish leaf of your plants. Salute
    Then let’s bring plants into the room😁

    so happy to see the distinction made about actual pure radicans. so many hybrids being sold as species. if it isn't crawling like a gloriosum, its not species.

    Interesting that the grow light caused the papililaminums to have darker leaves! I thought higher light normally mean lighter (greener) leaves, are anthuriums an exception?

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Could be the setting of the light that keeps it low? Or maybe spectrum/wave…

    • @PrB0201
      @PrB0201 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In my case papi tends to have darker leaves until 5 months then it eventually turns to not so dark green (bottom leaves)

    Well by the way i didn’t know what is in the middle of the garden before, cause it’s captured when he takes the photo of the plants.
    Now clearly confirmed it is the guardian ghost of his garden, LOL👻

    The translation about the light was wrong, I think you meant 3000 kelvins-6000 kevins ( colour temperature ). Some of the names are clonal names because of the grex variations. Just like orchids.

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It could be very wrong haha 😝 I need to brush up on my light science

    • @kayleecutter8020
      @kayleecutter8020 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@onlyplants you still have the best plant channel on TH-cam. When I was stuck in a cold climate during the Covid lockdowns I wanted to learn about growing orchids under lights. The American orchid society was useless. I found the people who know the most about LEDs for plants were the cannabis growers believe it or not. I found a company called Horticultural Lighting Group. The best full spectrum LEDs are made by Samsung. The far reds and deep blues are made by osram. During spring and autumn, morning and evening, there is more red in the natural spectrum. UVB stimulates the anthocyanins. ( cannabis can’t make CBD without UV light. UVs are very bad for our eyes and need to be turned off when people are around.

      Don't get me wrong, but I thought they were talking about sunlight wavelength, not light color Temperatures (as it measures with kelvin)? Hence he said 400-700 nm for visible sunlight.

    • @onlyplants

    i bet if theres a lot ,those expensives gonna be like golden pothos , cheap and easy to find, but of course the market makers not gonna let that happen , they need the "rarity" of the plant to sell

    • @onlyplants
      @onlyplants  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The golden pothos rate of growth and propagation is 15-20x faster than these Anthuriums though. But all rare plants become common at some point. Some takes 1 year and some takes up to 10 years. By that time new rare plants will be in trend 😅

    What does aff mean ?

    • @rowenalatorre4872
      @rowenalatorre4872 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Affinis which means similar or close to..

    • @grat2010
      @grat2010 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think it's short for "affinis" and means the plant species is unconfirmed and unknown but it has been observed to have characteristics similar to particular species.

    • @johncha4495
      @johncha4495 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Would “type” next to the name be similar in type as well? Also cf next to the name means what? I see these when shopping Ecuagenera. Thank for your response guys . 🫰🏼
