I have the YLG Oversized Comfort Bike Seat. I have had two back surgeries. I could care less what people think. Its my back and my money. I'm 62.

I'm 69.5 yrs old, and I grew-up calling it a bike seat, and refuse to change my terminolgy, even though I have (reluctantly) referred to the seats as saddles in some online conversations, although very rarely. Not doing it anymore, lol. Saddles go on horses.
Other than that, I changed-out the OEM seat on my Rad Rover 5 to the "Bikeroo for Seniors" with the elastomer "springs", and it was a welcome change. I also added a Suntour suspension seatpost (notice they're not called saddleposts 😉). A much more comfortable ride for me, and I'm a slender build, but have occasional lower back problems.
Those really wide seats, such as the one shown in the video reminds me of an old school metal tractor seat that has been upholstered, but it does look comfortable. 😎

I'm seventy so I'm older and wiser. LOL. A saddle is a seat that goes over something. A horse, motorcycle, fence, anything that is between your legs. A seat is as in a car or your living room or kitchen. Nothing but air between your legs. So, there you go, you young whipper snapper!

I have the Giddy Up, wide seat, not the XXL, on my Jasion EB 7 2.0 bike, I'm 65 and could care less what people think or say, comfort is my goal. The stock was too small, thin and hard. I'm only 5'8" and only 175 lbs, I also looked at the Giddy Up smaller seat, but through it might be too small, and similar to the one I was removing.

I have a bike-a-roo on my fat tire bike. I use a cloud nine on my trek bike when riding Greenways or long rides. As summer comes in and I do more off-road single track I will change out to a smaller seat. This makes it easier for the transition of standing, etc. By mid summer I will just leave it on the bike the whole time until I stop the single track and go back to more green ways. By the way, I’m with someone else that said it’s always been called a seat. A saddle is what I put on horses. LOL.

Found the bat wing saddle at a treasure hunt store. $8. Bought it . Put it on my ebike. The lack of side support made me feel I was falling off the bike. Gave it to my wife. She is very happy with it. I settled for a bikeroo saddle. Works fine with my suspension seat post.

Ounce i sit on it,it doesnt compress all the way still room for play . i'm 6 feet tall and 220 pounds .

June 2024 ... Engwe t14 (all original, only added a nice bell/rear view mirror). Engwe L20 2.0 same thing but lowered the seat post to lower the seat height. < slim female, 5'4" and getting on/off was too difficult but loved the overall eBike itself. Replaced the seat post w/chrome plated steel; insulated with wood dowel for added strength.

Hi Russ. Oh yes, have done two things to my bike saddle. First I got a gel cushion cover for it. That helps. Then I did swap out the whole saddle on my Magnum, and got a Cloud Nine saddle. I had to take it all apart because the seat flips up to get to the battery. But I got the new seat on. It is more comfortable than the original. Still not fabulous. I am still hunting. Also riding a lot sort of conditions your rear end! Lots of folks in my ebike riding Facebook groups mentions the seat/saddle and ask what to do!

My and my wife's Fifield eBikes came with saddles that look like the first flip one that you showed (they dont flip up, however). It seems comfy enough for me. For my non-electric bikes.. years ago, I replaced my mountain bike seat with one that featured not just a groove down the middle but a complete absence of seat in the middle. My hybrid has a more conventional groove down the middle. I find having that groove is great so that it doesn't put undue pressure on the perineum. Good for hemorrhoid flare-ups as well as less pressure on the prostate for us guys.

Bought the Specialized Cup seat for our two Gazelle e-bikes along with a Suntour shock seat post from UK.
Side note, just got back from Spring break and stored and charged batteries in Magicycle fire proof bag and parked bikes without batteries in my Airbnb in Las Vegas and St George Utah.
29 Palms Ca we locked and covered without battery on Hollywood bike rack and removed removable peddles and backed up to our motel room. Motion alarm went off with the strong wind at night so turned it off.
We had a great time hiking Joshua Tree and Zions National Park and biked St George’s 100’s of miles of bike trails.
I read if you cover your locked bikes theft goes way down when the bad person cannot see the bike.

Hey Russ switched out my magicycle for a brooks 67 with springs really liked the looks and the whole English quality thing. Never judge a book by its coover. The springs although they look like they would soak up the miles are actually quite stiff Its a beautiful piece of leather work but requires regular maintenance and was expensive but i new that from the start. So the search continues. Good video as usual and love reading the comments always valued info there.

I just have the stock seat on the Engwe, it seemed fine to me. I had road bikes before that as my first ebike, so I find the whole thing very comfortable for what I’m used to. I also rarely ride more than 10 miles at a go on the Engwe, which on an ebike is nothing and I barely have time to notice the seat. I use the Engwe for bringing a kid along on the jump seat or running errands. I’ve mostly switched over to the EUC for fun or solo rides. I may get a seat for one, but you’re fairly limited on those.

Just finished installing an akaso action camera on the back then ran a hdmi cable to a razer hdmi capture card then to my phone. Nice wide angle image looks sweet on my phone. Can record too. Wast exactly cheap. But cheaper than the apeman cycling rearview camera they sell.

Not good for guys, if you know what I mean. But the noseless saddles can feel like you can slip off the saddle, so I'm not a big fan of them.
