    Pros:
    The hop adjust wheel on the DE Noveske offers more and smaller notches compared to the stock Marui hop wheel. This allows for precise and accurate tuning, eliminating the common issue of overhopping or underhopping.
    The trigger of the DE has a clear reset and a smoother pull compared to a stock TM Marui.
    The hop-up performance is impressive straight out of the box. It can effectively lift .32g BBs without requiring any modifications. The accuracy is impressive. The nub is a solid clear round nub with decent hardness.
    The trigger box is not sitting as tightly into the lower receiver as the stock TM version. This loose fit makes it significantly easier to remove for routine maintenance tasks, saving time and effort.
    Cons:
    The bolt leaves a small gap when closed. This seems to be due to the ejection port being slightly longer when compared to a TM. It has no effect on performance, simply cosmetic.
    While the hop rubber on the DE has a flat patch where the nub engages, it could have been slightly thicker to provide a better seal of the nozzle. This lack of a perfect seal may lead to inconsistent FPS. However, this issue can be easily addressed by replacing the hop rubber with an aftermarket option or a spare stock TM rubber.
    Out of the box, the DE may exhibit some rattling and wobbling between the upper and lower receiver, similar to what can occur with prolonged use of a Marui version. However, this can be fixed through shimming techniques. Applying a small rubber hairband around the front pin and using super glue or electrical tape at the bottom of the rear pin hole can greatly reduce the rattling and improve overall stability.
    The charging handle, although visually appealing, may rattle as it does not sit flush with the receiver. However, this issue can be mitigated by shimming and applying some adhesive, such as super glue, to the receiver where the handle rests. Similarly, the trigger guard may exhibit some rattling, but it can be resolved by using adhesive to stabilize it.
    The stock and grip included with the DE Noveske are of relatively poor quality. The stock, in particular, is prone to rattling and can even break easily. Consider upgrading these components to enhance durability and improve overall comfort and stability during use.
    It's worth noting that the DE shoots hot out of the box when using green gas. This will require the installation of an NPAS (Nozzle Velocity Adjustment System), such as the Ra-Tech adjustable valve, to adjust the velocity to meet field regulations.
    The paint used on the DE is not Cerakote and may scratch easily. Extra care should be taken during handling and use to avoid cosmetic damage.
    Conclusion:
    The Double Eagle Noveske GBBR MWS Clone provides excellent value for its price point. It boasts appealing Noveske trades and a few improvements. While some minor adjustments and upgrades may be necessary to address certain issues, such as the hop rubber thickness and rattling parts, the overall performance of the DE is commendable. It offers a satisfying shooting experience and serves as a solid option to a TM MWS.

    I wanted to provide an update for those visiting for the review. I've been using my Noveske extensively and encountered some issues, including frequent misfeeds and two broken nozzles. Upon investigation, it became evident that the magwell was too loose when using stock TM Mags or slimmer aftermarket magazines compared to DE mags. This led to the feed lip of the magazine dropping too low during firing, causing the nozzle to strike the next BB too high, resulting in it rolling over the BB and slamming into the hop unit.
    I resolved this problem by crafting a small shim using Velcro and superglue/epoxy, which I placed in the bottom rear of the magwell. This shim prevents the looser magazines from tilting, thus preventing the feed lips from dropping too low.
    It's worth noting that other users have reported encountering the same issue, primarily with the European batch of DEs, while those with the Asian version (which includes an SLK repro stock) do not seem to experience the magwell problem.
    Inspect your magwell by locking the bolt back and gently wiggling a stock TM mag. If you notice excessive looseness and observe the feed lip sitting too low for a consistent feed, you may need to consider a similar shim-based solution.

    Thanks for a great write up. I’m just getting into airsoft with my son and decided what the hell let’s go gas instead of aeg and I’m glad i chose this gun. Only had it for a few days just playing with it in my backyard trader practicing and i really like it. Just have to get more mags but it’ll have to be incremental adds because those mags aren’t cheap

    ive been wanting to get into gbbrs for awhile but havent due to the 500$ plus cost, is this worth it for a first time user also is it hard to install the fps adjustment thing?

      Big cost is all the mags. But yes its a good value decent mws clone.
      Theres plenty off videos on how to work on the nozzle and replace the rocket valve with an adjustable. Basic tools. Small screwdrivers…

    I would use 144a gas or duster gas anyways with a MWS system (unless it's aluminium or steel - then green or red gas). But I've been thinking of picking this one up.
    Your cons are almost all cosmetic, so internally no issues (which I find more important).

      See my pinned comment. Also. I’ve never used duster gas in my MWS(s). It handles strong gas well.

    Does it seem worth the price difference over the tm? Or is tm still better for price?

    • @Basterds_Airsoft
      @Basterds_Airsoft  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

      If you specifically want a Noveske N4 build then I dont think you can beat the price for this one.
      The stock TM needs 1-2 upgrades out of the box to be used with green gas / propane. A new harder hop nub to lift anything over .28g and a spare nozzle return spring (as the stock might snap under the extra pressure).
      So far this DE is better in those regards straight out of the box.
      Both stock TM and DE needs an NPAS to reduce muzzle velocity when using green gas.
      Stock TM might be built with slightly better tolerances and material choices in some places. For E.g I've noticed the barrel material on the DE Noveske is abit soft and deforms and scratches easily.
      The paint on TM is cerakote and very nice. DE is not cerakote, altough pretty decent. It might scratch abit easier.
      Out of the box the DE rattles and wobble in a few places. (Similar to how a TM starts rattling over time and use). This can be easily fixed with some electrical tape, glue, hairbands in certain places to make it rock solid.
      Time will tell how it holds up!

    Is the hop standard marui compatible? (Maple mr etc.) Which nubs are compatible?

    • @Basterds_Airsoft
      @Basterds_Airsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes. The whole system is a MWS clone so the hop unit is a straight copy of the mws hop. The hop house is slightly thicker ( or a thicker coat of paint on it), but thats pretty much the only difference.
      Any standard hop rubbers that would fit the MWS will fit the DE.
      Regarding nubs. I've used some omega nub, Bactav magic nub, SixG Super nub. But I believe pretty much anything would work.

      @@Basterds_Airsoft ok, thx 😁 how is the recoil actually? Is it there, or not? 😅

    • @Basterds_Airsoft
      @Basterds_Airsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's not bad at all. Very similar to the CQB-R version. Felt recoil kinda depends on how heavy your gun is vs the weight of the bolt (and combination of type of buffer). The more heavy kit on your gun the less you will feel the recoil. A high speed lightweight bolt will also reduce recoil but give you better gas efficiency and higher rof.

    • @sgtmany5986

      @@Basterds_Airsoft i wanna actually have more recoil 😅 i like the feeling of it 😁

    • @Basterds_Airsoft
      @Basterds_Airsoft  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The bolt is pretty heavy already. You can try and find a heavier bolt end. I think HAO makes one thats pretty heavy.
      In my experience a very heavy bolt with a light buffer and stock spring gives the most felt recoil. You will lose abit of gas efficiancy. but if you are in warm weather it should not matter.
      And also. kit your gun light.
      I've experimented with stronger recoil spring (that makes the recoil felt less as the bolt dont travel as much). and weighted buffer. Weighted buffer is good to reduce bolt bounce and potential missfeeds in full auto - but it reduces felt recoil imo.

    • @Basterds_Airsoft
      @Basterds_Airsoft  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      How to adjust it? lock the bolt back. Look into the magwell, you will see a small wheel / dial near the ejection port. Turn it backwards, towards the stock to apply hop. Forwards towards barrel to decrease it.
