As per my opinion it's better to stay at model town infront of hotel Shantiniketan ,there are so many budget hotels As well as good hotels also moreover Bengali cuisine is available here at a very moderate rate .I visited Manali in the year 2021 and stayed there for four days,which was a memorable experience of myself. I went to hotel kunzam which was not good as per my budget moreover Bengali food was not available there ,after all most of us are budget travellers,but shopping and spending quality time at the mall road is essential. ❤

In North India...when you ask for roti, most of the hotels/dhabas will serve you tandoori roti. You can specifically ask for tawa rotis, if they serve
