For anime-only's this probably does feel slow and a little off, but it's so much better than the manhwa so far. In fact, I'd argue this is the best episode for me as a manhwa reader. They cut out unnecessary bits and added a lot of content that's completely anime-original and that doesn't disrupt the storyline. They also re-arranged certain sequences of events to match a more emotionally impactful narrative. You also need to view it from a season perspective. Weekly, we're all greedy and want more. But as a series, these kinds of episodes benefit the it as a whole and upon rewatching with every episode out, you'll come to appreciate it that much more.
As a person that re read the novel and mahnwa a couple of time more than necessary I hundred percent agree with you This fix the linear world of solo leveling in the mahnwa 😤
Yes, you're absolutely correct, if they make the anime same as manhwa(story wise), then people will start to get bore as whole story will be like, Jinwoo fighting dozen of monsters and getting stronger, which will make people bore as it will be focused only on one character, So adding these stories is fine as it will make us more attached to the characters
I do love how they changed the deal he made with Jinho. In the manwah I think he jumped at it too quickly imo. But this time they had him go through the Herbert's fight to see how lacking he still was in strength and now he knows he could use the experience from the 19 raids. So it makes more sense for him to go back and make a contract with him
Trust the process we are going super fast and this is a short series. This is also a set up for next ep. The whole two weeks then VA supposely had covid so what could you do right, believe me this is probably one of the best eps espeacially how it relates to the future.
I feel bad for Joo Hee's parents, they are obviously worried about losing their kid, who barely survived a dungeon and has ptsd now, only to be told to fu** off by that kid. A lot of stillness in the frames of his episode, most likely they saved time on this one for the next episode. Makes sense.
Just saying if there is more episode or someone binge watching this no one gonna complain about pacing. If any aside from episode 4, i enjoy this episode the most.
They only covered 1ch usually they cover 4 ch in 1 ep in this ep they added lot extra things in this ep thats why you felt that pacing is slow and i agree this ep was least exiting but its good that they are giving justice to side characters...
@@Animelon He was most likely just thinking "where have I seen this dude before?". Also, in the manhwa there was a random dude instead of the purple haired agent in the re-evaluation, but this change makes more sense. Next ep is gonna be lit!
jeju island is the scene you saw from the 1st episode the one with giant ants that's why the hunter who tried to kill jinwoo was afraid of insect type dungeon....i guess we got a some what foreshadowing of future plot for this anime...
This Anime is a 2 cour Season with 12 episodes each. So i think this pacing is perfect. This is quite the story building and they referenced 'Jeju Island' which will be very important in the future (it produced one of my best character in the show Beru). Also only the prisoners were newly added to the show, others have been shown already in the previous episodes . Next week will be a killer episode just wait😁😁😁
This episode is pretty much half Anime exclusive scene that moves the bigger plot of the story for the future In contrast to the mahnwa which exclusively only followed what jinwoo is doing 😂 I love this episode becoz they actually doing the side characters juctice -kang tae shik is the guy that reevaluate MC rank in episode 3
@@Siennamerdein did they tell you this would be a breather episode? Or did you just make up bs to justify this trash episode? And they needed a week break for this? Hilarious
@@Siennamerdein not my point. If they took a break atleast create something that justifies the break through the immediate episode. They failed to do that obviously
omg, you quickly forgot the characters 😂 except for the prisoners, no character is new in this episode. The purple haired guy was present at the hospital when Jinwoo woke up. He was the one who, together with the hunter association's director, tested Jinwoo's rank to see if he awakened.
His glow up, it's difficult to not spoil anything and not be pedantic about it, but think of it as a sort of Pokemon Evolution, yeah he looks good now but just wait.
I hope there is a cour 2 because it seems like the season is heading to a cliff hanger. I did enjoy the episode though, because without all the backstory this would just be like every other power fantasy bland shows that are a dime a dozen.
I’d highly recommend reading the manhwa, it’s so good. Some earlier episodes follow the chapter a lot closer but they seem to be more broken up now, this episode ended halfway through the chapter iirc
I'm not that critical... While being critical is wild 🤣🤣🤣.... The pacing if on point... We just got 2 action packed episodes back to back and now you want a 3rd where it's more exciting? Every episode does not and should not be action packed mind dialog is just as if not more important otherwise how do you know what the hell is going on in a story.
its most likely gonna be 2 cours. it wouldnt make sense to just get their best animators for the last 4 episodes. they literally will get aniamtos of jjk s2 next episode
Here's the thing I feel like A-1 Studio should've used Netflix as it's broadcast line so that they can dush out 50min long episodes for 12 episodes only which will be an equivelant of 24 ep weekly series just better paced like how the Manwha is. PS. THE MANWHA CHAPTERS FOR THIS SHOW ARE PRETTY LONG EACH CHAPTER HENCE WHY THE ANIME NEVER SEEMS TO HAVE COMPLETED EPISODES...LEADING TO THIS CRIMINAL LVL CLIFFHANGERS.
Yeah, this series has been a lot of fun, and I do enjoy it, but the pacing has been weird throughout. Great action and and some excellent VA performances but the decisions on what goes into individual episodes has been questionable. I really love the source material, and I have this anime to thank for getting me to read it, but for some reason other Manhwa fans feel the need to really needlessly and passionately defend this adaptation from any criticism, so get ready for that.
