Wow very descriptive, if this is the 100% truth then I can’t wait to get my C-36! I am 29 and have been doing construction and maintenance since I was 18. I always wanted to just get good at 1 trade, after years of flooring, painting, electrical and plumbing, I came to the conclusion that plumbing is my stronger area! I started a handyman business in beginning of 2020 when covid hit and advertised on angies list and Yelp gaining many customers and many jobs. I’m working as a maintenance manager for a property management now where I oversee the maintenance team of about 12 guys on a daily. I love my job and the owner I work under but I feel like I want to go up for a C-36 and pull some jobs, slowly grow my reputation and hire plumbers to work under me while I’m getting everything together. Again I appreciate this video!
I just completed my five year plumbing apprenticeship with the union, so just officially became a journeyman. Is that enough experience for a contractors license?
Awesome video! if you would kindly take the time to answer my question. I was in the us navy for 4 years. i was a Machinist Mate I really want to start my own business i was thinking about getting the C-33 because we did ALOT of painting or C-36 im going through a plumbing apprenticeship right now but I don't want to wait to get to journey man in plumbing do you think my military experience is enough proof to get approved to take the test? so I can go ahead and buy the c-33 and c-36 courses you guys provide thanks!
Hello David. Your military experience would certainly count toward a license. Most likely it would be for the C-33 unless you had experience doing plumbing work in the military as well. Feel free to shoot me an email zach@digitalconstructive.com always happy to schedule a call and answer any questions you may have. Thanks again for watching!
