When she started getting a bit emotional, I started tearing up, bless her for doing this job, I can tell she's very compassionate, and humble. I liked this video very meaningful.
Little to nothing, ever works out for me. No apathy intended. Could I claim the Charles Manson case; and therefore be an innocent person; getting sent to prison? Might as well, because I'm a former outcast special eder; and because of 2 Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2.
My older sister has special needs and physical disabilities, and this video means the world to me because I love her so much as well as all the disabled kids I've had the privilege to meet through her and people don't want to expect a lot from these kids. But they are so incredible and everyday they inspire me. The school district that I live in has recently started a basketball team for kids with disabilities, and it's worked a lot like the Coffee Cart! It's really brought the community together, and I've gotten to know my sister's teammates better too. I think more school systems should definitely work to implement things like my sister's basketball team and Coffee Cart. It brings people together and gives kids opportunities they won't get otherwise. Anyway, this video did make me tear up. So thank you, Soul Pancake.
+doodlepony2 thank you! we appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your own experience! we think you and your sister are pretty awesome!!!!
I have special educution. I asked my mom why am I in small classes all the time and she said I have learnning disability. I just wanted to share about myself!!!

This is beautiful. My best friend has coffin lowry syndrome so this hit really close to home. Thank you so much Sadie for everything you do for these kids.
I was in special education classes all my life, and I am planning to go to college to become a special education teacher because I know the struggles an individual can go through, being picked on, etc. My siblings (3 of them) are all in special education classes for different reasons. As a teacher I want my students to know that I am more than just a teacher, I am a friend, family, that they can come to me about anything, and so much more. I am not going to push them through the system, I am going to give them the education they deserve and help them obtain the confidence and skills they need to get them ready for the real world.
DarkHoleGames how about you start fighting back your oppressors instead of giving them a hand scholastic segregation is whats the difference between special and regular ed i feel just as bad for these children that have an uncertain future but that does not mean on taking on the side of the oppressor
Well if you guys want to become a sped ed teacher i have suggestion please do not treat them like little babies ok it's so annoying to have to be talked to like that especially since i have asd and i have to deal with that crap every Five days of the week
I have a special needs brother who is currently attending middle school. I just wanted to say thank you for making this video and doing the amazing work that you do. It gives me hope for a future for my brother where he can be a productive happy member of society. Thank you thank you
MissHappenz thats so sweet am in special eduaction my aunt doesnt support it she says its BS i wish my older sister didnt hate my existing i wish i just had an older supporting sister
My sister has low-functioning autism and I have a tremendous amount of respect for special ed teachers. It takes a very kind and wonderful person to pursue a career that requires so much patience. Every kid with special needs simply needs people to believe in them and Sadie is one of those amazing teachers who's out there doing that. Thank you!!
my sister had special needs. she was on the same level as the cute kid at 0:58. she passed away 6 years ago. the anniversary was a few weeks ago. I am so thankful for teachers but especially special education teachers. thank you.
Sorry for your loss:( Special Ed teachers are the best and Ms.Sadie sure is a great role model. There should be more teachers or people like her. Stay strong:)
Ms Sadie, you are an amazing role model.I am from Greece, have just finished my high school exams and want to become a special education teacher.I think it is one of the most rewarding professions. This summer I will be attending a volunteer program helping special needs children. This video means so much to me so thank you for sharing.Again thank you for all that you do!!!!

I’m a paraeducator and one of the classes that I work in does a coffee cart. Two years after I started as a para I actually had something from the coffee cart. OMG! The lemon bars were simply divine, and a little hot chocolate goes a long way on those cold winter mornings in my neck of the woods. Making food for the coffee cart is so valuable because it’s something they can do that makes them feel like a part of the school! (And some teachers have come to us in the halls to buy some *real* coffee before we make it anywhere near their classes, and they are very grateful for it!)
I had the pleasure of meeting Sadie this past summer. She mentioned she was a special education teacher, but I had no idea the amazing and inspiring work she was doing. This is a wonderful series, Soul Pancake!
Sadie, you're my new role model. I have always wanted to be a special Ed teacher but you renewed my sense of love for the career. It's so important to have people who care about their jobs and care about kids who may be mistreated or judged in everyday life. Thank you for all you do, Sadie.
+Maxwell Yang yes please! She is my inspiration and I dream of having such a positive effect on the world. Thank her for her work both with her own students and for teaching "normal kids" how to react respectfully and lovingly towards kids with special needs. Thank you!! And buy something from the coffee cart for me :)

This video made my day. I have a brother with special needs and I have learned a lot from him and many other special kids. This is so inspiring. Wonderful job. I admire this teacher. All my love to her and this fantastic kids
Wow! Beautiful beautiful beautiful. It's amazing how little things can transform our lives. Thank you Ms. Guthrie, and thank you Soul Pancake for sharing this story.
This summer I worked as a teacher's aide in a classroom at a summer school for kids with special needs. I bonded with all the kids in my class, they were all so great in so many different ways! Watching this video really reminded me what it was like to work in that environment and makes me want to go back!
I'm glad to see them being included. Where I go to college (art Ed major, special ed minor) many of those in my intro to special ed clash never had much interaction with students with disabilities. I, on the other hand, did because our special ed teacher had her students do things like a bake sale or paper bracelets or something to keep them involved and some of them did clubs. It's really amazing to see what they do with their students and the impact they have
Dear Sadie, What an inspiration you are to your own community and the global community as well! Your coffee cart idea is so innovative and truly gives evidence of how expectation is everything! Please post more videos!
Little to nothing, ever works out for me. No apathy intended. Could I claim the Charles Manson case; and therefore be an innocent person; getting sent to prison? Might as well, because I'm a former outcast special eder; and because of 2 Cor 4:4; Eph 2:2.
Curtis Duncan special ed is a bad system they basically silence children and force them into this horrible class they should listen to the children’s feedback you can see they streat these high school students like 4th graders
I have shared this video many times. I have watched it so many times over the years and it still brings me so much joy! I have often wondered how the Coffee Cart is doing today? How are the students and Mrs. Guthrie doing 7 years later? I imagine some of these students are now in the workforce. Please share another story with us!!
I have friends with disabilities like that and I think that's an awesome idea! I really want to be a special education teacher one day and this video inspires me to not give up at that goal! Thank you sooo much soalpancake!
Sadie...you are a blessing to man/womankind and the kids are angels, very fortunate relationships, going both ways. This really hit me hard.... If we could all do this, what a wonderful world it would be
We introduced a coffee cart program for the kids in my spec ed class in Orangeville Ontario. Sadie is absolutely right. It was briliant for them and a strong message to the school about integration and ability. We used it as a way to open doors to understanding what these kids are capable of, and that lead to all sorts of cooperative projects: films, art shows, concerts, etc.
Great idea...these kids respond to love......they are so willing to please....you are making their lives meaningful & productive.....Many can be independent beings as we all learn to love one another...Thankyou for caring about these great kids
I will take her place and say thank you and I go to that school. This is what my school do. Besides sadie, there's another special Ed program for even younger kids
It's amazing to see that society is giving opportunities to these wonderful kids. Unfortunately, not many countries care for them or try to help them including my own. Many thanks for this video and for spreading hope!!
This is just a beautiful story, and it is a beautiful commitment on the part of this school, this wonderful teacher and these amazing students! I am truly touched. My soul is truly touched! Thank you for sharing this!
Thank you for this video. As a special ed student i love the fact you are going above and beyond to give your students life and work skills and fostering acceptance.
love You!! i'm an inclusive pedagogue too and this video is SO encouraging, making me remember my idealism and believe in "humans are just humans", there is no "those humans and these humans"
Such an inspiring message in this video thete should be more ppl in this world like this teacher and as fir what she said when ppl unintensionaly put them down it is actually heartbreaking for anyone with a big heart
@@oneworldgovernment9548 it’s hard especially if your one of the students who advocates for themselves. I’ve been fighting for my education since 13. Because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I’ve gotten. Now, I’m in college studying what I know best special education. I’m almost a junior and I’m in honors. The fight is still going strong it doesn’t stop.
@@nerdgeekcosplay909 I'm glad your doing that. I was just saying that people need to stop glorifying special ED classes, because it hurts the self esteem of the students.
You made me tear up, this is such a great thing for the students. Great job Teach!!! This gives me ideas that I might be able to do something like this (not exactly this) for younger students. This is great to show them the skills they would need for their future. Thank you for sharing.
Oh wow! I can totally relate to this video. I was in special ed classes for most of my life. All the test and evaluation meetings and the extra time while taking test. The list goes on and on. I was bullied in middle school and high school but as I got older the bullying slowly subsided. While in high school I was diagnosed learning disabled and always feeling like I had to explain myself and always trying to find a way to make my mark on the world. Now I'm in my early 30's and I'm grateful for the teachers I had. We learned alot of life skills and skills to not only get a job but keep one. I'm working my job as a deli clerk. I've been with the company for 4 years now.
everyday, the first thing i do when i get to work is to check if u guys uploaded a new video, i love waht you do, you inspire people you make people laugh and you give people hope that this world is not all bad. please keep them coming and never ever stop doing things that matters. greetings from morocco. ps : it has been a while since you guys did a sidewalk session.
I have always wanted to be a special Ed teacher. I met an Asian boy named Masa when I was in 4th grade with Autism. He moved away before 6th grade and I miss him still. My teachers all told me and even my mom how good I worked with him. He affected me, and I really want to meet and help more people like him.
Ever since I was 8, I've wanted to be a special ed. teacher. It seems like such an amazing job. I think I would really love the job, it seems like such an amazing thing to have such a close relationship with these kids.
I live in a small community and go to a small school, we only have 2 or 3 special-ed. The thing about it being a small school is that everyone knows everyone. Terrance is pretty coo and lovable. Everyone always says hi to him and talk to him, we all know that he is a little mischievous at times, but who isn't? Everyone loves Toby, and he loves dinosaurs. He's really energetic and gets really excited when anyone says Jell-O! We all like to help him talk and play with him. Cindy is a really nice girl. She is very cheerful, and I always give her a hug when I see her. She really likes it when people hang out with her, and converse with her, so most of do. I guess what I'm trying to say here is that everyone, no matter who they are, has feelings. I think the coffee cart is a great way of showing that.
I admire the Teacher.😊 She makes her students feel they belong like any other child or student. Looking forward for more improvement both in Social, mental, interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.😍
I am happy to hear that after watching this video that many people have been encouraged and are possibly thinking or are working towards their degree in special education. However, I want to remind people that this is a very tough job, and you don't get to pick and choose your special needs students. There are some difficult times. I am a mother of a severely autistic boy. Throughout his academic career, we have experienced an array of special educators. Many of whom had special education degrees that emphasized in autism. Even with all their education and degrees, many lacked what it took to become a great special education teacher. My son has severe behavior problems and at times can be difficult to manage. It takes someone with great patience, and love to be able to work with people with special needs. I don't want to discourage anyone, but I also want to be realistic. You don't get to pick and choose who becomes you student, and it won't always be pleasant. It may seem thankless at times, but if you're strong enough, you will see through all the difficult times and know that it is all worth it.
When she started getting a bit emotional, I started tearing up, bless her for doing this job, I can tell she's very compassionate, and humble. I liked this video very meaningful.

She practically is an example for us all!!! Congrats!!
Coffee cart was such a wonderful idea! What a great group of kids, they deserve to be a big part of their school community.
As an adult (and former bullied kid) with a disability, this is a beautiful video! Thank you for sharing!
Agree! Miss Sadie is a SAINT! What a GREAT program!
I will take her place and say thank you and I go to that school. This is what my school do. Besides sadie, there's another special Ed program for even younger kids
Love this vid. We need more teachers like her. What an amazing example she is. Thank you.
GOD bless you Sadie! This is a beautiful idea.
Thank you for sharing this!

love You!! i'm an inclusive pedagogue too and this video is SO encouraging, making me remember my idealism and believe in "humans are just humans", there is no "those humans and these humans"

So beautiful, to acknowledge the skills possessed and build the child from there♥️
This is such a beautiful thing :)
I hope more of these will happen all over the world~
ZOEOE CL that's my little sister in the video, Wedad ❤️
Being a special ed teacher is definitely one of the toughest jobs to have, however, it's by far the most rewarding.
have you ever wonder how hard life is as a student in special ed?
@@oneworldgovernment9548 it’s hard especially if your one of the students who advocates for themselves. I’ve been fighting for my education since 13. Because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I’ve gotten. Now, I’m in college studying what I know best special education. I’m almost a junior and I’m in honors. The fight is still going strong it doesn’t stop.
@@nerdgeekcosplay909 I'm glad your doing that. I was just saying that people need to stop glorifying special ED classes, because it hurts the self esteem of the students.
school is doing really excellent job .All schools should take this example .
You made me tear up, this is such a great thing for the students. Great job Teach!!! This gives me ideas that I might be able to do something like this (not exactly this) for younger students. This is great to show them the skills they would need for their future. Thank you for sharing.
Great work by Sadie - real world skills are just so-o valuable!!!
Super inspiring, but the best part of this video is Noah. He cracks me up.
This lady is such an inspiration, lovely, Thankyou , xx
Amazing young woman ! I admire you... you' re a fantastic person. 😘

To all you shapers of minds and inspirers of youth,………Thank You!
This is beautiful. Thank you Sadie and thank you Soul Pancake.
I think I would really love the job, it seems like such an amazing thing to have such a close relationship with these kids.
i have a little brother at home who also has special needs. this was so beautiful & heartwarming. :")
What an incredible group of amazing human beings.
this is what im going to school for and im sitting at my computer crying bc i am so excited to be able to do what you are doing!
I'm glad there's people like Sadie in this world.
You gotta have a real heart to be a special ed teacher. She must have a beautiful heart.
This is awesome! It empowers your students to become hard working despite their disability.
What an amazing video. This is the humanity I'm proud to be a part of 💕💕💕
What a great work..!
All of you have inspired our school ... Wish you all the best..
Please send our love for children ❤❤❤
I am a special education teacher and I am going to ask my principal if I can implement this program! Thank you Sadie for this fabulous idea.
She is a great teacher.
This is just fantastic-absolutely awesome!!! Loving this 'Class Act' series so much! x
thank you. sharing this video in my intro course exam for teachers! SO LOVELY! THANK YOU!
soul pancake videos routinely make me ball my eyes out.
David knows the truth. Awesome, guys. I love you all.
The end made me cry
Thay are so cute when the kid and the teacher walk together❤
This was sooo beautiful! Thank you for this
thanks to all special ed teachers out there some of you helped me too
God bless this teacher
