Hi there! I didn't know any series featured in this game apart from Gundam Wing/SEED and Tekkaman Blade. I have right now played up to chapter 19 and already I'm loving this amazing game. Also I must say it is very easy to glow affections with any series in a Super Robot War game, especially considering the countless challenges you have to go through with valuable units you are given. Plus most of the game's battle themes are really catchy... :P

I'm getting a modded NDS so I can play this game! For a 64-bit game, it looks REAL good and I love the animations! I must say that I'm looking forward to seeing how Go Lion performs!

Not very likely, mainly due to the fact that most American gamers wouldn't know a quarter of who these characters are, much less what shows they're from. In short, it wouldn't make for a very good marketing idea over here.

@srwboi no it's not. Golion is very serious and involves the death of many innocents and yes, also "Sven". Voltron was a monster of the week fest for the kids. They use the same footage but the characterization and outcomes are different. It's a bit like Star Blazers and Space Battleship Yamato; though Star Blazers is still an awesome show in its own right despite the changes made.
@r41m15 - I can barely read/speak Japanese and I have no problems playing this game or any SRW game. But to answer your question, yes they do use kanji but only a little.
Heh, I bet my friends are going nuts at seeing FMP in a SRW game. I'm surprised they brought in Golion, though. Then again, seeing that GaoGaiGar is in there, doesn't surprise me. >.>
Well...there WAS kinda something along those lines released years ago in Japan. A SRW spin-off known as "Super Hero Wars", which contained Kamen Rider, Kikiader, and also Himitsu Sentai Goranger and JAKQ Dengekitai, so yeah...it didn't have mecha though (since, well , neither Goranger nor JAKQ had mecha), but it's about the closest they've ever had to Sentai/PR being in an SRW game.
im impress for how they put some elements like shin getter' stone sunshine fro the style of SRW alpha 2/3 on this, but wht i like the most is seening voltron(golion) in the game. i wonder if there gonna put vehicle voltron in it to(doubt it) i wonder how the voltron team double atk would look like.

Hmm. Yes, anyone can play through the gameplay aspects of Super Robot Taisen but you'd miss out on the story. Reading Mneidengard's story summary on Gamefaqs, It's a lamentable loss since the writing is actually quite amusing and manages to tie together several series in a way that is believable.

Ahhh yes. The first Super Robot Wars game I ever played. It's safe to say now that if I had never played this game I wouldn't be as hooked to Super Robot Wars as I am now. Speaking of this game.. I gotta go finish my second run through.

Sorry, but because of copyright issues, the SRW series would never be available outside of Japan. The only SRW series that would have that chance would be the OG series, since it uses original characters only.

Out of all the Super Robot Wars I've played, I think this game has one of the best story lines.

We got GaoGaiGar, SEED ASTRAY, Getter robo, and an incredibly kickass combination of Tekkaman Blade 1 and 2 mixed together. Worth the tradeoff I say.

Are you kidding? Most of the animations look better than some of the PS1 games, and the cut-ins and anime scenes look god, too.
