hoping for a remake of this amazing game. This was the first SRW game that I played till the end back then. W,J,A,D were all amazing and they really drilled my love of mecha games. Initially played these just for the Gundam stuff but quickly became a fan of all these amazing units and stories
lol if voltron made this game i wonder if power rangers will ever appear in one of these games that be cool if they put all of them in along with zoids also
Hi there! I didn't know any series featured in this game apart from Gundam Wing/SEED and Tekkaman Blade. I have right now played up to chapter 19 and already I'm loving this amazing game. Also I must say it is very easy to glow affections with any series in a Super Robot War game, especially considering the countless challenges you have to go through with valuable units you are given. Plus most of the game's battle themes are really catchy... :P
seed sucks plain and simple compared to char, amuro and the others from UC gundam series hell in J i only ended up fielding strike gundam till i had more units and could exclude him whenever i could, i'd rather use boss borot than strike TBH
Ahhh yes. The first Super Robot Wars game I ever played. It's safe to say now that if I had never played this game I wouldn't be as hooked to Super Robot Wars as I am now. Speaking of this game.. I gotta go finish my second run through.
@r41m15 - I can barely read/speak Japanese and I have no problems playing this game or any SRW game. But to answer your question, yes they do use kanji but only a little.
Localization will NEVER happen people. Do this: Download the game or extract the ROM from the cartridge. Patch it. There's fanmade menu translation patches online. Use Google. Plot? Gamefaqs. The rest of the menu and movesets? Trial and error then memorize. If you REALLY like the game, put some effort into it.

@srwboi no it's not. Golion is very serious and involves the death of many innocents and yes, also "Sven". Voltron was a monster of the week fest for the kids. They use the same footage but the characterization and outcomes are different. It's a bit like Star Blazers and Space Battleship Yamato; though Star Blazers is still an awesome show in its own right despite the changes made.
Astray..I didn't watch Gundam SEED but I'm interested in Astray. Not sure why, maybe cause its a side-story with barely anything to do with SEED (which I may add is really long and like 50 episodes for both seasons..damn, that's long!) Anyone know where I can find episodes of it?

Hmm. Yes, anyone can play through the gameplay aspects of Super Robot Taisen but you'd miss out on the story. Reading Mneidengard's story summary on Gamefaqs, It's a lamentable loss since the writing is actually quite amusing and manages to tie together several series in a way that is believable.

That'd be badass if Banpresto made an SRW-Final game that would lift ALL of the series that was in the SRW games, Eva being the last. Except for IDEON, he's too strong. Way too strong. So is Turn A and Turn X gundams,

This was better than K, still hate Mist and Destiny not getting its full plot, but L is better than W and K combined.

Out of all the Super Robot Wars I've played, I think this game has one of the best story lines.
You can play any DS game on any DS. They're Region-Free. Plus, there's a good translation of the story itself on GameFaqs.

EVA-s are organisms (artificially raised angels) binded by armor. In NGE were a reactor powered robot, but it was unstable.
