probably in my life, if there was one 3 minute song I have literally heard more than any other... it must be this one. i wonder if that one teenage year of playing multiple 162 game seasons in this game... 20 minutes per game, 7 times through this song... the play count is in the thousands easily. Masterpiece.
To this day, every single baseball game I play, I cannot get this song out of my head. I had this game when I was a kid and played it a lot so it's like drilled into my brain.
Actually, it was Chris Jojo who wrote the song. Cannon only worked partially on the title music with Jojo (he was training Jojo how to use the sound engine at Software Creations) and Jojo did pretty much the rest.
I loved the graphics in this game. The team logos and names on the front of the jerseys were very much visible. The Mets even had their script with the tail
Strange as it was, PinkKittyRose led me to this song. One of the custom music packs she uses for her runs through Super Metroid uses this song in Brinstar.
The only thing bad about this song (and this game's soundtrack as a whole) is that it's often mis-attributed to the Follins (or Matthew Cannon). It was actually written by Chris Jojo. This was his first game, and he was being trained by Cannon.
@@FigureFarter There was even an interview where someone either played this track or the title music for Tim and he said he didn't think it was his, though he attributed the music to Cannon, not Jojo. Follin and the other sound staff agreed that the Follins were probably credited for designing the sound engine, as well as the instruments used in their sound engine.
What a great song. This will always be an old favorite for me. It would be hard to stay in a bad mood listening to this.
Everytime I watch baseball I always think of this theme! Haha
Until you get struck out. OH, COME ON!!
I love this track so much I added it to my MLB The Show custom playlist so it would play during games. My greatest idea ever.
one of the greatest baseball games ever made and the music was so great

Would love to hear this banger played live.
I never was into sports games as a kid, but this tune slaps so hard it made me wanna play Ken Griffey Jr. for SNES anyway.

Do you also hear AW COME ON when there's a strikeout?
Dude this song, i could race or fight to this shit, I will never forget this, O Come Onnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!! Best part of my childhood!
This reminds me of the Soup Dragons' cover of "I'm Free" - wonder if it was an influence; it came out in 1990, just a few years before this game.
Is this Tim Follin? Sounds Very Follin-like.
Nope matter of fact it was Matthew Cannon. He was Follin's apprentice!
@@Plasmariel Ah wow, well his influence certainly rubbed off on him!
@@Larry It's impressive how close he sounds

He's OUT!! Ah Come ON! I love at 1:20 it gets super heavy
Thank you for uploading this music. This is one of my favorite tunes in the entire SNES library and I'm glad to finally see it on TH-cam.
"Its a just a baseball game for kids...the soundtrack doesn't have to go that hard." The soundtrack: 🔥🔥
That's the Follin brothers for ya

So freaking hardcore. I was terrible at this game, but I ♥️ this song.
STEEEERIIIIIIKE!! Awww COME ON!!!!
Best part 01:18 through the 01:45 mark
certified banger
Man, you have ALL the obscure but fantastic music from the good old days. Major props.
Still a banger
Thank you for this 🎉
Is it Peace Frog by the Doors? Sounds like it.
Damn I never thought of it sounding like that. I hear it. Just a synth bass sound on this one.
AHHH COME ON!!!
Damn, this sounds like it came out of a KOF game!

That guitar solo at 0:19
I play this song in the background playing some "MLB The Show baseball" and just let it loop.

The Follins already left before this game was made iirc
