- From the moment interior designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent got together, there were never any games. The pair, who went furniture shopping on their first date in 2012, say they immediately always knew “when we would see other next.” Now married since 2014, the couple share why they’re each other's biggest fan and how they can’t wait to grow old together: “Sometimes you can look into someone’s eyes and see the story sort of unfold.”

I have been a HUGE fan of Nate Berkshire, since I first saw him on Oprah. I fell, hard, fast and deep in like/love with Nate, his generous, kind and creative self. Amazing. (Fave was Kirstie Alley’s kitchen makeover!!). Then came meeting Jeremy on the Rachel Zoe Show. Wow!! He just captured my heart. I knew he was destined to jump off the Rachel Zoe rocket and launch his own success!! Nate and Jeremy together though?? Yes, please!! What a beautiful family you’ve created with sweet (and very evolved), Poppy and her sweet and much loved brother, Oscar. Just watching you two makes me happy. Period. The only thing better would be if I answered a knock at my door and you two were there, on board to redo my house. It is not bringing me joy at the moment and I don’t know where to start!! I love their love story. It has NOTHING to do about being straight or gay…it has EVERYTHING to do with LOVE and finding YOUR person. PERIOD! People waste sooooo much time bashing someone’s race, someone’s ethnicity, someone’s sexuality, someone’s religion and proceed to spew hate like the judge and the jury. GOD is the only true and ultimate judge! Just live YOUR life and let people live there’s. THAT is how I was raised as a NON-racist, straight person trying to be a good and decent person in this way too short life. Live your life the best way you can and leave God’s business to God…who, by the wait, HATES hate! Not a single self-righteous person among us will win a single brownie point with God hating on others and taking action against for being different, believing different than WE are and do.

I just watched your show... (first time) and it was a beautiful turn out. I think y'all are such a sexy couple, especially when Jeremiah (slightly) cried. I don't mean any harm, I'm not sure if Jeremiah personality is realky himl, hope not. Every time I accidentally see you two on TV, someone is a little bossy, and Nate you appear to beg all the time. Nate your personality is so sweet. Nate you are so humble. I remember seeing you decade ago on Oprah, and she introduced you with your start. If I'm not mistaken you design something for her it's was years ago. Best wishes to you both.

Jeremiah respects and honours Nate a lot! It was Jeremiah who proposed they name their son after Nates previous deceased partner. They have his work and pictures in their home. Jeremiah has a heart of gold and a lot of compassion. Nate himself has spoken of this so many times. Jeremiah was the first person to come into Nates life, in a romantic way, who wasn't hesitant or scared to address the trauma of Nates past. Who acknowledged that Nate has a big heart and that that its not just about himself, even though he is married to him. A much as Jeremiah pokes fun and snarks at him, Nate gives it back as well! He can be just as stubborn and snarky and that is why they work well together.
