I have both the portable model and the plug in model of the soundstage 3. Both of my sub outputs put out a full bass signal and sound great when a powered sub is connected. Not sure what’s going on with yours.
This is just personal, but your trashing of Monoprice is unwarranted in my opinion. Not to mention this is one single item from a great company. But your opinion is your….. but holly cow…. It’s not the end of the world!

After giving Monoprice every opportunity and months worth of time to work out the problem and make it right. And after 2 identical speakers in a row with the exact same problem they claim does not exist despite my proof..... I am quite Justified in my assessment of the company and their product! This is what happens when someone thinks they can rip me off and get away with it.
Proton is the next one on the chopping block. They too will learn my name the hard way! But I'm glad your speaker is working correctly, cause none of mine are from this POS company. Cheers 🍻

Seems like the product has a design flaw and it's sending a HP'd rather than a LP'd signal out through the subwoofer output port. That's a bit disappointing, but I suspect that very few buyers of the Soundstage 3 would be looking to use it with a subwoofer yesterday (having to carry a separate subwoofer with it does make it a little less portable). I had looked at the Soundstage 3 some time ago for possible purchase, but decided against it. My decision didn't have anything to do with the subwoofer output. There's no grille over the speakers, there's a vent instead of a passive radiator (which means that stuff, including critters, might find their way into the speaker if I use it outside), it does not have an IPX7 rating (probably because of that same vent) and it seems to be using an older version of BT, given the published range and the lack of other features like TWS. And the handle does seem like a bit of an afterthought. I ended up going with the Mifa Wildbox instead.
Some other notes: It does seem to sound pretty good (I listened to the video via my DSP'd multimedia speakers and DIY subwoofer). The use of two tweeters is to maintain some semblance of stereo reproduction. One tweeter and one woofer would make it a mono speaker. That issue with having to turn it up to get better bass is the same thing I experienced with the Wildbox until I upgraded its firmware, and now it sounds much better. Alas, no such firmware update seems to be available for the Soundstage 3.
I've been more than happy with the other Monoprice products that I've purchased. This one though seems to fall short a bit, but not in terms of how it sounds.

      Lol!
I own two of these and one is dead. Only the left tweeter works so the amp must have crapped out. You've been warned.
      Cheers 🍻

It's unfortunate that you had that experience with the product and that company.
I have powered bookshelf speakers, fluance a61. I wasn't happy with the sub out. Signal was weak. I just ran the RCA through the sub and it was night and day.
I understand that things should work the way we want them to and be resolved by the company when they don't. sometimes, finding the work around with a good product with a flaw that can be worked around is a good compromise
    With the subwoofers I have,

It's a shame that it all went the way that it did. I really wanted to like the speaker and the company. I have a part 2 in the works, I'll show exactly how the story ended.... It would seem that I'm the only one that fully tested their product, and after 3 speakers in a row now with the exact same issue, well that's a bad product and now they know it the hard way! I've sent them the proof 3 times on 3 different speakers. Oh, and the USB charging port doesn't work right either.
The only work around's for this I can think of is either a subwoofer plate amp with full range audio out or an audio splitter of sorts to provide dual full range in. Well, there is a 3rd option I guess, just build your own. Cheers 🍻

Just buy a sub with rca input and outputs. Use the sub rca out to the portable speaker.

That is certainly an option, but I have different plans. If I ever get around to it.

You obviously had a problem with the speaker but to say MonoPrice is a bad company off of one purchase and interaction is a stretch at best. I have a lot of monoprice products and zero problems. Had to contact them for a shipping issue and zero problems. Don’t throw out the baby with the bath water.

Ordinarily I would totally agree with you. I find myself consistently on the side of reasonable with all of my adventures. That is until the facts and the abundance of proof clearly point in one direction. At this point, I have only one conclusion to point a finger at with the proof to back up the reasoning. Wait until I finish part 2 of this story where I prove it all again without question! I now have the proof of 3 speakers in a row and every single email from the BBB and Monoprice. There is no better measure of a company than to experience how it handles real problems.
No offense, but shipping issues are nothing. A real problem is being faced with pulling, fixing or replacing an entire faulty product line! I have the proof and the end of this story coming in part 2.
      Cheers 🍻

@@Now-Review-This I agree the sub out is wrong. The measurements show it clearly. Maybe the department that handles the Bluetooth speakers is different from the A/V department? Monoprice makes some kick ass products. The monolith home theater subs for one. Telling people to not buying from Monoprice is a bit harsh I think. Would you want all your subscribers to unsubscribe if you had one bad video?

    • @Now-Review-This
      @Now-Review-This  ปีที่แล้ว

I am not contesting any of their other products, but specifically focused on this one, the one I have, the one I can prove. I am only guided by the facts, the proof of a thing or a situation. If a company refuses to stand behind one bad product, then what does that tell you about their other products in general? If a company is willing to keep selling a know bad product, what does that say about a company? I only have the proof and the facts to offer along with my opinion. You must make up your own mind what is best for you.
But I don't do any this for subscriptions, I couldn't care less one way or the other. People will find and watch my videos with or without a subscriber count. I seriously only make videos because I like to, and because I quite enjoy helping others solve problems. This is my 2nd channel by the way, which exists for the same reasons but from a different perspective. But I assure you, I don't any of this for fame or fortune and I especially don't do it for subscriber count! I'm not out to bash any company either, I only offer real and honest product reviews here. Sometimes we have no choice but to talk about a company behind the product.
All I can do is lay out the facts, show you the proof and offer my opinion. You must judge good or bad for yourself.
      Cheers 🍻

@@Now-Review-This I think your video was very thurough. A lot of reviewers don't go through the trouble of testing other than their ears and we all know how subjective that can be. I think Monoprice should make this right with the product and the return/RMA issues you had, but I also think Monoprice is a good company and make some VERY good products. I can't agree with you on them being a $hit company based off one product and an issue with one connection, but like you said, everyone can make their own conclusion.
