I would be interested if the manufacturer has addressed the fatal flaw with their cycling shoes of the placement of cleat bolt location (too far forward) probably more than a new wonder arch support system ...... ?
Hi Andrew - I did mention the new cleat bolt positioning - the image is not the best but I also retracted the bolt on the insertion runner it’s also mounted on. I will demo it on the 3D crank but it’s a lot further back than previous models.
The RC902 is a great shoe and so it should be at the price. I have only tried it on indoors on turbo. The materials and stiffness of the shoes is similar and the 902 has 360 degree wrap around strap plus the BOA has micro adjustments. Honestly, the Fizik is my fav but both shoes are top top shoes - comes down to your preference for colour and style I guess 👍
there has been arch support in running shoes for years and its just a gimmick, the arch in your foot like the arch in building is a very strong structure the minute you put support it weakens the arch. Any footwear that takes the work of the muscles that are designed to support the foot just makes those muscles weaker and the result is injuries. Any sports shoe may it be for cycling or running that claims to provide stability, cushioning, support is just no good for your muscles, that's why some people continue using orthotics instead of addressing the root problem , which is to strengthen the muscles.
As a bike fitter I never wedge or insert anything into the arch for this very reason Rob. My clients will tell you how I specifically dial in muscle and nerve control for stability. I have pedal scanned riders with orthotic supports and shown how they make no difference. A good shoe works with a persons foot geometry and biomechanics and this is a good shoe (in my experience) but I always prescribe muscle development.

It's as far back as Lake shoes now. The last is very different to the older/cheaper Fizik shoes.

Obviously depends how wide but it should. Check their website as it gives you more detail based on your foot width 👍👍
