I ordered a Cirrus Vision Jet - Flying for the 1st Time

- I ordered a $3.5 Million Cirrus Jet without ever seeing the inside or flying it. Al Waterloo from Cirrus Aircraft takes me on a flight to make sure that I really like it.
This jet is much smoother than my current Cirrus SR 22T. And with the autoland feature that makes this even more exciting!

I worked at cirrus here in grand forks ND. I specifically worked on the vision jet, back in 2014, when this jet did not have a name. It was just called the "experimental" we were given flights on the first few planes being tested. I only worked in production, but there was only a small team of 20 people creating the entire plane, fuselage, wings, etc. I touched every inch of that plane. Worked next to the engineers to modify blueprints and identify issues. I was low on the rung, but it was very cool seeing an experimental plane going from just an idea into a full production plane.
That’s awesome!
The little smile when the first motor sounds start is telling, for aviation dreamer like myself its a shame these things are so expensive that we will never get the chance to fly one. let alone own one, so well done with your success to be able to buy one.
show the cockpit not your faces
For sure next time! My guy was filming in the back, but the video did not turn out well. Too bright.
A little please and thank you never hurt anybody.
Or 2 cameras
@@TonyJavierTVyou make a video, ohh that’s right you don’t have the money.
Yeah I want one now 💪🏿💪🏿💪🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
Great vid but wish it had zero music
It really needs no musicc
I´m a stuend pilot and i felt in love with this plane when i first saw it in my local airport in Mexico and let me tell you this,. dude you are living the dream! this is the first video of yours that i watch and im exited for you! chears for your new plane!!!
It is awesome! Thanks 😊
Nice to see @al waterloo in the vid. Produced fantastic content while he was RSD for cirrus aircraft
I'm impressed. You look comfortable and confident flying that thing!
It was an easy airplane to fly! 💪
Those Vision Jets are so nice,
Sweet stuff! Enjoy it and be safe! Tailwinds and blue skies!
Great choice, love Cirrus aircraft!
Wow.. “Awesome My Man” haha
Oh yeah!
Epic dude! Thanks for sharing : )
The SR is a good choice between CRQ and HND but once you start flying the SF50, it’ll be hard to go back. The Vision is more comfortable, quicker and much safer!
Nice landing. I'm sure it was a little intense, but you did a great job Tony. As they say, skies the limit from here.
4 year wait!? What more reason do they need to expand production? This of the technology advances in 4 years by the time you get it you’ll want something more current.
Make sure you involve the right legal experts and follow the proper procedure to allow you to make use of the California Interstate Commerce Exemption with that Cirrus demo lease-back. It will save you the 9+% sales/use tax on your new plane!
Yep. I did that on my SR22T last year. Big savings.
This saved me a lot of money too!

3.5 Million and the cockpit A/C vents are the same exact ones used in the 2009-2014 Ford F-150 trucks. I know, I have a 2013 lol. That's funny.
That was very nice, thanks
Kwl beans ; looks like fun . Congrats 👍
This is so awesome! I can’t wait to see future videos. Where are you take us through delivery of your actual aircraft, and flying to all kinds of different interesting places. Most of us will be living vicariously through you, since most of the general aviation pilots will probably never have access to a beautiful aircraft like this one. Take care!
😊
See you here in a few years!
This was an awesome flight Tony! Great video, I remember this well! Nice work.
Great flying with you, my friend!
Poor guy...gotta wait for his big toy to arrive!! Such problems....It must suck being you!! lol
Great show for us!
The belt don't seem as cosy as a 4-point harness
It’s actually much cozier. You don’t feel too restrained.
Good guy with BIG AL W.
200 K for a headliner?....Ill do it!!......Like Nicholas Cage in Leaving Las Vegas...."300 dollars for a Daytona rolex? I'll do it!!" lol
Tony you look so serious in your face...lol
Your his man!!
The seatbelts look like they cut at teh neck. Wonder why they didn't continue the SR cross-connect seatbelt.
They are actually way more comfy than my SR22T!
Trying to figure out the reason for the distressed look in the thumbnail picture. What was the reason for this picture?
The rep was Al right? Hard to miss his voice.
That’s him. Smooth voice for sure.
Tony - great video & nice job piloting a jet for the first time. At the end you referenced other videos where you discuss writing-off plane purchases. I can't find the videos you were referring to. Can you help?
I may be a bit out of sequence. I should release that in the next week or 2.

Didn't Al Waterloo leave Cirrus last year and is now with embraer business jet sales?
had the same thought/question
Maybe the video is a year old and he just now uploaded?
Yes I filmed this last year. Just got to releasing it.
Almost a moneymaker :) It's an ok cool plane but it was supposed to cost less than 1 million and now I'm assuming it's closer to 3 as base price. How much do they want base?
Also a 200k headliner does not inspire confidence that I'm not being robbed. A plane doesn't have to be complicated. And that angry vacuum cleaner on the back isn't complicated either.
It doesn't have a lavatory, it doesn't have dual engine redundancy to go over oceans or in general. There is simply opportunity for so much more than the current selection of products in GA.
A carbon fiber teardrop shell can be super light, inexpensive and easy to make. A jet engine is much the same as a turbo in a car and they retail for 300$. Not cost, profitable retail.
Pressurizing the cabin to sea level even in the vacuum of space isn't a challenge. The lighter the craft, the smaller the jet engines. Having two instead of one means the jet engine is smaller thus cheaper to develop and produce. So two is cheaper than 1. You wouldn't believe how good and inexpensive a plane is possible compared to what exists.
All good points. There are other planes that can carry much more and go further and faster. This is definitely best for shorter trips. A plane for longer trips would cost much more. Although I’m considering an eclipse 550 as well.
@@TonyJavierTV I actually didn't know they made Eclipse anymore. That does actually look like a superior plane. Dual engines, similar fuel burn for the speed, option to go faster.
How much do those cost these days? although I guess it doesn't have the chute but maybe the dual engines more than make up for that.
I wonder why Cirrus doesn't switch to those two engines as well. Give it a vertical tail instead. Pretty sure dual engine would sell even better.
I wonder what the TBOs are on the PW and Williams engines.
@@DanFrederikseneclipse 550 I think does make new planes with the new owner. $3 million plus. They are WAY faster. But yes I love the parachute and to transition from an SR22T to this should be easier because of the G1000.
@@TonyJavierTV also FL410 instead of 300. But shame if they don't have as snazzy an interior. That's so much of the experience and so cheap to fix. And disappointing that it got so expensive. It was 2.9mill 10 years ago. And they were aiming for well below a million. I'm surprised that none of the VLJs have tried carbon fiber. I would think it's such an obvious application for a pressure balloon. Or I know that it is. Small caveat about icing but should not be impossible. A single piece composite is both so strong and so quick to manufacture. Composite typically has infinite hull life whereas metal can have metal fatigue. And it could be half the weight or better. It's no small margin.
Great Alex!!
Awesome content!
Thanks :)
Where do you get the money for this?
Your numbers are a little shy for the SR-22T. Mine does an easy 250mph at altitude. Ive had it up to 350 with a 100k tail wind.
Nice! I fly around San Diego mostly so don’t get many tailwinds. I’ve hit 210 before but that’s it.
Man forget waiting 4 years for a new plane, i'll just buy one used. That's insane.
How often does this jet require maintenance ?
Seat belts seam to be attacking their necks!
You must be very rich wow 😳😮
It doesn’t need more cowbell, but could you add saying "awesome" a few more times?
"Your job sucks".
Yup. Big time !!!!
😂
4 years. Thats ridiculous. Wouldn’t pay or wait that long for that 1 engined parachute.
They're hand built in small numbers. We were still in design phase 10 years ago, and we had hundreds of pre-orders. The team I worked with was only a team of 20 people total. Including engineers. I'm not sure how big their production team is, but it's not huge.
This is 🔥 Subscribed 🤝
Thanks for the support!
i hope this guy knows the operating expenses for a vision jet are around $600,000 per year, or $50,000 a month. ouch. crazy money just to get there one hour sooner.
Hi. I'm confused about price. Price is not Usd 1.9 millions?
Why do we listen to pilot conversations and radio sounds in all flight videos?
Cool aircraft but the seat belts are choking every 😅
super interesting! also, just wanna shout myself out, I was your 500th sub lol
Awesome thanks for the support! When I’m at 1 million you can say I knew that guy at 500 lol
@@TonyJavierTV lol yep!
So exactly what does this guy do that he can buy planes & jets and has only 1,000 subscribers? Should we know him from something else? Obviously he has made or makes money doing something and has been flying for a bit? Cool video! And congratulations on the new toys/tools!
I don’t see the video you refer to talking about the “tax advantages” of airplane ownership. Is it still up.
th-cam.com/video/QSEzzN0FnKw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=9ndGaxSadD3e4_wU
Woulda rather had a Cessna caravan for that money.
omg co-pilot micro manager from hell.
I think my only issue with this plane is the amount of automation I feel as if the pilots will lose there proficiency in automated aspects of flight
Welcome to the 21st century, the majority of the newer aircraft are including automated features
Any advice on how to get into commercial real estate ?
Work for a commercial real estate person to learn the business. It takes 1 to 2 years to start making money on your own so may as well make money under someone while whole learning.
@@TonyJavierTV thank you!
Why wait?
I may not! Looking into an Eclipse 550 next year.
4 years? I get by buying a demo model that goes to 2 years. But still it seems like you’re getting a used 2 year old model of the jet.
If I asked that question: how much that option extra I will be told that I can’t afford it for sure lol. Ps I only have strobes no oxygen or fresh air.
I know is a great plane but only if you are flying yourself and another person. This plane will not get you too far with 7 passengers and luggage. Short trips! Not fun. That's why I'm getting a Pilatus.
The PC24 is also the only business jet approved for unpaved runways which really opens up the ability to go anywhere. Great plane, enjoy it man!
Your first sentence shows it’s NOT a great plane.
@@Fitz710 A Pilatus PC-12 turboprop is better. Operational cost is better with the turboprop at this class of plane.
@@Mistamannfour I just assumed PC24 since this is a jet. But yes totally true, both are phenomenal airplanes. Pilatus is one of the best!
i thought in your last video you voted to buy the eclipse 550? I guess your wife fell for the better interior
Sick man! Representing cbad 🤙🏼🌊
💪💪
Loud inside 👀
Its actually not that bad.
300 ktas on approach ?!?!?
I thought the same thing…. Above 250 below 10k ?
My editor put that in when landing bit that was in cruise.
umm...FADEC??
Full authority digital engine control. A computer which commands the engine when you command a thrust.
🙂
Great stuff but darn, we all want to see out the window not you guys lol
2 to 4 years? what a waste of time. buy it now and enjoy it. might not be able to in 2-4 years
You got hosed dude. The Cirrus jet is slow (slower than some single engine turboprops), has a short range, pathetic climb rate, tiny max fuel payload, high fuel burn and a long takeoff and landing distance (for it's size). You would have been far better off buying a Epic E1000 turboprop.
Bad ass!
Seat belt does not look comfortable
Perfect example of someone with money that doesn’t know anything about landing a jet on wet or snowy runways with “no thrust reversers”. Want to go skiing in Aspen or any flyin resort in the mountains that’s going to be slippery, you never do it in a cheap jet not equipped with thrust reversers. Neeeeevvvver, ever. Get educated.
You are right I don't. And never eluded to that either.
Restraint seems uncomfortable, clingy shirt distracting... business suit is the best uniform for sales of millionaires!
pipe down boomer
Multimillionaires where T Shirts and Flip Flops.
Ugly little plastic toy jet designed for those with too much time and money available
I will take that as a compliment. 😄
Congratulations on your plane but your times are exactly why Cirrus as an aviation company is a joke. 4 years for a plane that barely goes faster than a piper meridian? No thanks.
Jesus probably gonna come back before then. So if you wanna fly it, better repent of your sin and ask nicely and he might let you take it to heaven. Doubt it though, sorry.
For real though, anyone who believes he came to wash you of your sin with his blood on the cross, profess with your mouth that “Jesus Is Lord”, believe it’s by Gods grace and not by works. Continue to have faith and build a relationship day by day, talking to him in your heart, ask for forgiveness, love others and pray for everything, like thankfulness, forgiveness, understanding, and really everything. You won’t care about a bunch of toys and then you’ll be on a better path than coveting toys. And spending stupid amounts of money on them instead of your family.
You will never put 7 in here. It’s so misleading. It’s a two person plane to get the numbers they claim
True. More like 5. My SR22T has 5 seats but more like 3 with luggage.
Dude, you look too serious like you’re gonna crash or you don’t feel comfortable flying you don’t enjoy it
RPF. Resting Pilot Face.
200K for a headliner?? And the rich think they're rich because they're smart? lol. Wow - cool plane, but Jesus
It’s all about percentages. That’s about 6% of the cost of the plane so may as well do it right!
And for what purpose are you going to use this jet ?
Should the rich be able to polute the earth for their pleasure?
