    Excellent and easy way to make soap

  • @CougarLyfe

    Hi Ester, how are you doing today? Every soap maker has their own way of doing things BUT‼️ You can add your Neem in with your oils, this way you can blend it up well before adding the lye. Once the lye is added to much mixing is what accelerates trace. I add my fragrance in with my oils too. Your mixture reached trace quickly and you hadn’t even added your fragrance. Because some fragrances also accelerates tracing. Still a beautiful bar! 🌹💗

      Dear, thank you for your input and feedback. The process of making the soap was normal and I have followed this method for the last three years that I have been making soap. While I was making the soap, I had to attend to an emergency and when I came back, the batter had thickened as you can see in the video. I didn't mention it because I didn't want to bother people with too much text

    • @CougarLyfe

      @@cecilvig thank You for responding. I never implied that YOUR process wasn’t normal hence me mentioning that every soaper soaps differently. 🌹💕 You sharing that little bit of information explains the WHY it thickened so quickly. I changed my process because it ended up working out better for me. Meaning adding my fragrance and other additives to my oils. Before changing up I used to trace fast! 😩 Now I have time to do extras without having to rush. Even with 5 years under my belt, I’m still learning. 🥰🙏🏽🌹

      Distilled is the preferred use for the water, but you can use tap. Tap is somewhat frowned upon because of the minerals that are in it. I made to batches last month and they’re 👌🏽. If no distilled, just boil your water. 🌹

    • @cecilvig

      I made the soap using the cold process method, that is why we have to wait for approximately 8 weeks for the soap to cure, before we can start using it
      what you are referring to, is the hot process method

    I have a neem oil at home, but don't use it because it smells terribly...Is that normal

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Naturally, neem oil has a strong garlic/nut smell that is considered unpleasant by many, but very much appreciated by those who have experienced its healing and protective powers. Some companies deodorise this oil to get rid of the smell, unfortunately in this process, they may destroy some of the healing properties of the oil.
