I say this with respect and admiration… stop defining your channel as a gear channel. People don’t continue to watch your videos because they like the new durston tent or a new sleeping pad. They watch because you’re engaging and interesting. The channel isn’t called “backpacking gear (fill in the blank)”. Your channel is called “Dan Becker”. Keep being Dan, and there will be folks there to engage with you and support you. I’ll see you in the next one.
Fully agree. I'm not a backpacker. I'm a motorcycle camper that was looking for stuff that made would fit what I'm doing. Honestly, I can't say your stuff fit my bill, but you did. Your honest, entertaining and likeable. I hope the best for you and your family. Keep us posted.
Thank you for all the love and devotion to your dad. All humans matter. Give your love now to others who need that and don't have a loving son like you. You are a Godly man!
Hey brother never apologize for taking care of your family. Hopefully most people who watch your channel will understand that doing this channel and videos is your job but family has always got to come before work. As a Christian man myself Christ always first and then comes your family. I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your father. You and your family will be in my prayers. I agree loosing a parent is always a hard thing even when you expect it. I’m glad to know that he was a godly man and I know that has to bring you some comfort. I love watching your channel and learning about the new gear and seeing the places you go and seeing the love you have for the great outdoors and your love for Christ and sharing that on the channel. You never know by sharing that on here you may make an impact on someone’s life and they come to know Christ because of your witness or testimony. Hope you have a speedy recovery and we down here in Arkansas send you and your family love and prayers.
Thanks for the update. Thinking of you during this time. Don't consider yourself a gear only guy! Branch out! Do section hikes. Review trails. Find hidden gems. Talk about backpacking with kids. Talk about state parks. Im also from WI -pick the best day hikes and take us along, and with tour family! Talk about transitioning from car camping to backpacking. I terview someone with wilderness survival/first aid. You got this!
Sorry for your loss. My dad also passed earlier this year. Your thoughts you shared about your dad rang true. Praise God he had a relationship with Jesus.
Thanks for the update. We never know how different life events will affect us until we are in the middle of them. You've experienced several major stress events in a short period of time and seem to be handling them well. My guess is your relationship with God is a major factor. Your openness is having a positive effect on others. Keep up the good work.
My father took me on my first overnight hike when I was in fourth grade, and we thoroughly enjoyed the hiking and catching and cooking Rainbows from the coldest lake I had been in up to that age. Hiking together, he helped me earn the hiking merit badge on my way to my Eagle. During his late seventies we walked a couple miles on one of our familiar Cascade Mountains trail, but had to turn back due to his knee problem. On the drive to his home he commented, "I think my hiking days are over." His spirit went to be with the Lord two months after his ninetieth birthday. His Trapper Nelson pack is stored with my gear. There is going to be a great reunion for all of us who trust Jesus.
You certainly don’t have to apologize for anything, it’s called life. Sounds to me like your priorities are in order. You were there for your dad, you’re there for your kids and your family, you’re taking care of your health. All of these qualities are quite admirable. The podcast, the gear review, anything going forward is a bonus. Will be here for you. Take care of yourself and your precious family. Time is shorter than we know.
Praying for your family. My dad passed from cancer a few months ago so my heart goes out to y'all. I'd love to see an episode regarding back country first responders. Experiences, what they wish we knew, what they see is our biggest mistake, etc.
I feel you all through this video. Lost my Dad little over a year ago. He was 96 and I’m 61. STILL not easy. Heart goes out to you and your family. Also a Vaer owner. Can confirm, excellent watches.
I might be an outlier but I really liked the gear reviews from the backyard even if just 1st impression, helped me fing a tent and ugq quilt that I have never been sorry I purchased off your recommendation
Lost my Dad at age 82. He called me up on a Sunday in December 2023 and asked to bring the family down to Florida to see him. Booked a flight for that coming Thursday. I had 3 delays at the airport and when I got down to Florida there was a traffic jam on the highway. I got the call in traffic that he passed! I feel your pain. Sorry for your loss.
Middle aged man gets into hiking and backpacking who shows us other middle aged men how we can do it too with all the weird turns with life at this stage of life throws at him. Thanks for the updates. Keep up the occasional posts.
I just discovered your channel about 2 hours ago. Thank you for being there. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer (slow growing) 5 years ago. When we lost our house in 2020, due to covid, we bought a Ford Transit and decided to LIVE the nomad style in Arizona (we're from MN). We're back in MN now. We did the nomad thing for a year. I guess what I'm trying to say is.....we all need each other. Learning how to camp/hike the correct way or learning from somebody else's misfortune can be applied to anyone's life. Being Christian is a huge plus in my eyes. Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. He IS life. He cannot lie. When we invite Him into our heart we've literally invited eternal life to live in us. You WILL see your dad again. Zephaniah 3:17.
There’s a group of us that are here for whatever happens. Whatever you publish. Big hearts from my family to yours. I’ve been a TH-camr myself for a short time. It’s not easy. Do what’s right for you. Your audience will shift with you. Big hugs!!
Dan, Thank you for sharing. It took a lot of courage to talk about your Dad. I lost my wife to appendix cancer through a four year struggle, so my prayers are with you and your family. I love the video podcasts. Keep ‘em coming. Family first and your skills as a presenter of good information is much appreciated. Thank you!
Sorry for your loss. I don’t necessarily watch you for gear but just like hearing your stories. I love watching TH-camrs camp/backpack/travel and when they share the full experience. Share how you plan trips, prep for weather, how/what you pack for yourself/your kids/etc., show cool natural features, tips for newbies, you having fun, what you eat, how you plan meals, setup, etc.
Im so sorry for your loss! Its hard when you lose anyone thats close to you! Lost my Dad 14 yrs ago! Still go through bouts of depression! You don't need to explain! All your fans will still be here! God bless you and your family! May your Dad rest in peace!
“Family First” is what we love about you. Just bought your course. I’m an intermediate backpacker but I always love watching your videos so I’m sure I’ll enjoy the course and I need to brush up on a few areas like navigation. Thanks Dan and best wishes to your sweet family as well!
So sorry to hear about your dad. Best of luck with the healing process both with your loss and your eyes. Love the workbook. I consider myself a somewhat experienced backpacker, but the structure the workbook provides has elevated my planning process from "I think I have it all figured out" to more of a checklist approach. It also helps with communicating the plan to others. Appreciate all you do!
As someone who had an accident in the backcountry, and made it home. I can tell you that having an outlet to share the story is so important. I’ve had the opportunity to tell my story on a couple different platforms, and it was really healing. I think it’s great that you’re giving folks the opportunity to share their stories.
Been following you for such a long time. Just got back from 4 days solo in the Tetons and I am just so thankful for all I have learned from you! It made the trip so much more memorable and remarkable from what I have gleaned. Keep doing what your heart burns for! Much love.
It's all great, Dan. I'm not new to the outdoors (been backpacking since my teens in the mid-80's, which has been in the Rocky Mountains of western Montana since the mid-90's when we moved here), but I am new to making videos. My channel will simply be sharing my experiences in the outdoors, including short and long day hikes, overnight and multi-day backpacking trips, nature videos, gear reviews, hiking and backpacking tips, whatever ... just sharing what I'm doing or seeing in the great outdoors. I know everyone won't like everything I do. And that's okay. My tribe will find me. Just like your tribe has found you. Don't worry about staying locked into one thing. A mix is good. I enjoy the podcasts right along with everything else. Just do your thing and keep going. :)
So sorry for your family's loss, I will be praying for you. I enjoy EVERY video and podcast you put out, I always learn something. Thank you for your hard work .
First Sorry to hear about your Dad. I started watching your channel (and others) to learn about backpacking. But learned it is much more than gear. Thank you Dan for the work you do on this channel. Breth of fresh air seeing a normal guy just doing is thing. All my best to you and your family.
As I was setting out to do my first ever back packing trip, I came across your videos. I really admire you as a someone that makes TH-cam videos. You’re great at it. So, I had a rough last year as well. Caught Pneumonia this winter, was treated with antibiotics and also steroids that ended up inducing sudden onset diabetes. I had to make lifestyle changes and started hiking. Between more exercise and cutting out sugars and simple carbs, I’ve dropped 30 lbs. It’s nice hearing about your issues, recovering from surgery. I’m really sorry to hear about your Father. I lost mine back in 2017. You definitely have a knack for story telling, and this type of content is great! I’m sure many of us would like to see more of it.
Thanks for sharing your situtation Dan. One thing you could do is send out some helpers / interns / delegates. Dont know what to call them, but people who love the outdoors and are willing to be your "correspondents" in the field and your podcast setup can be your "news studio" from where you report and analyze the info and footage they bring back. Give them questions to fill out regarding the gear while they are out. The categories you usually pay attention to and talk about, comfort, ease of use, etc. There would also be a ton of stuff to talk about besides gear with these videos. You could comment on how they could have done something better if they are not experienced campers/hikers. You could even chat with them while they are out there alike they do on the news. Call them in the middle of the night to see how warm the sleeping bag is, haha. I think that video format would be fun. I know I would test out some gear here in North Carolina so I'm sure lots of other people would be willing to. Best of luck, God bless
Oh, Dan, so sorry to hear about your dad, but I’m glad you got to spend that precious time with him towards the end…❤ Just keep following your heart, and you’ll be fine.
Dan just a thought, I have never seen you talk about a trail near you in Wisconsin. The trail is the Ice Age Trail and runs through Wisconsin. It actually follows the southern terminus of an Ice Age glacier. It is close to you in Wisconsin and is truly underrated. I digress. Should you decide to go to it, let me and other midwesterners know so that we can join you, just a thought.
I’ve enjoyed your channel for years. You were my go to when I was first started backpacking and needed to learn everything. Thank you for that. More importantly, I’m sorry for your loss. May he dance with the angels and may his name forever be a blessing.
I've watched you a couple times in the past, but more recently I've been basically binge watching your videos and I've subscribed. I'm sure we all feel the same and we sorry you're having to go through this. I'm glad to hear you're going to keep plugging along, I do enjoy your content. As far as my opinion on what to do going forward...keep doing what you're doing. I like the variety. I like the reviews, I like the trips, I like the fact that you tell people where you're camping and let whatever happens just happen. I found a really cool carabiner stricker thingy because of your gear lists. As long as you enjoy it, as long as you want to continue to make content, as long as you enjoy sharing with us...go in the direction you feel is best.
Hello from the North Idaho Panhandle! I'm sorry to hear about your dad. 🙏 I'm glad to know that he's with the Lord. Thanks for including that comment. It's so easy to hide our love for Jesus. I also agree with a comment made earlier; just keep being Dan. It's okay if your channel goes all over the place. Mine does, too. My posts cover my hiking, backpacking, kayaking, RVing, and bird watching. Stay true! Your people love you.
Sorry for your loss, your Dad is rejoicing with the Lord so find joy in that. I will continue to keep your family in my prayers. I live just south of Green Bay and have a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in September so I will be doing some shake down hikes in the Kettles if you ever need a hike 😎
Here’s the thing … yes, you have a TH-cam channel and you put out Dan Becker videos. And Dan, we’re here because you are more than a TH-cam channel, you’re a human being with a life filled with ups, downs, challenges and victories. Keep on being you Dan, we’ll be here.
I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. I just lost my dad in February after he fell last November just before Thanksgiving. It was an awful 3 months. He was 87 and I saw his decline and how miserable he was, but it didn't make it any easier. Prayers for you and your family.
I just started following you recently but long enough to see the Grand Canyon incident which, believe it or not, helped me greatly. Not only did I learn about something I had no previous knowledge of, but also due to the nature of my work, a few months later I was dealing with someone who had lost a loved to Rhabdo. He was not even 30 yet and his family and fiancée were all very confused when it all started happening because no one could figure out what was going on with him. I say all this to say that you never know to what degree you may help someone so “being all over the place” doesn’t really matter! Just be YOU! I sure am sorry about your Dad hun, that one is hard no matter when it happens. Unfortunately for me, I lost mine at the age of 15. Still cry at times, and still miss the crap out of him. But ya know what’s great is the rest of the story where we all get to see them again! I also hope you are healing up well from your eye surgery, looked brutal 😬 Bless you! You have been through a lot this past year. I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers. You hang in there and, if your mamma is still living, be sure to give her a big ole hug. She probably could use a few of those right now. ❤️
Praying for you and your family. Cancer survivor (colon cancer, 8 years out), cancer widower (breast cancer, 11 months ago) currently in Bailey, CO, on a zero during my Colorado Trail thru hike attempt. I used your channel extensively to prepare. Thanks for all the work you’ve put into your channel: I would not be able to be on this trail without the information you and others have put out there. Love the podcast format as well.
Dan, I'm so sorry to hear that you lost your dad. My stepdad passed a couple of years ago after a battle with cancer. He was in my life since I was a teenager. You're absolutely right. You're never ready. All the love, and thank you for sharing your update with us. God bless.
I love your channel and all the directions you have gone. I am currently fighting cancer and will be working hard to get back into shape to hike again. I am sorry about you and your family's loss. Your dad helped raise a great human being. The memories you have and your kids have keep his legacy going. Prayers for you all.
The Dan Becker I see on utube comes across as authentic and credible. Unapologetic Christian, family oriented, loves people, enjoys the outdoors and encourages us to get out there with you. Doesn’t matter the content because you’re interesting, positive and curious (not willing to drum on about something you’re not necessarily as interested in as you once were). We will continue to watch and yes because of you I switched to ONX Backcountry. Since watching I have hiked in Glacier National Park and Big Bend. Will be hiking Collegiate West out of Twin Lakes, Co the end of this month. I too lost my father and even 10 yrs later think of him often, always trying to remember the good memories and his witty sayings. Kind of cheeky over utube, but stay true to yourself and we will keep watching and supporting as we can. Sorry for your loss but for the believers it just gets better.
I commend you for letting us all in on your personal issues and my sincere condolences about your Dad. Your videos are usually full of levity and I enjoy them. Stay well and do what you do at the pace you can. 😊😊
Sorry for your loss Dan. Can I just say I’m a London Black Cab Driver. A while ago I picked up someone who moved to London from North of England. I asked if they ever go pack to see their parents they said about twice a year and both their parents were in their mid 70s. One thing that really struck me was if they go back home twice a year bearing in mind their parents might have another 20 years at most they will only see their parents 40 times in their life time assuming they live to a very good age. What a sobering thought. There is nothing more important than your health and family.
Dan, I lost my Dad to colon cancer at age 57, when I was 31. My heart goes out to you and although knowing that he is at peace doesn’t take the sting away completely. Time does help, so hang in there and keep his memory alive with your kids!
I'm so sorry for your loss. I watch your channel bc I'm an beginner camper/hiker and would love it if you did Q&A videos, similar to your podcast but a regular video series of 3-5 questions per video.
We don’t care as much about gear reviews as we do about you and your life and your backpacking adventures. So go on one and show us the fun and challenge and excitement of it all and take one of your children if they wanna go. Thanks for sharing your heart. We love you for it.
I was just thinking I had seen a video from you and here you are! Thanks for the update. So sorry for your loss. Take care. Enjoy your videos - changing up the format of what you present keeps things fresh - it's all good.
Thanks for sharing, enjoy your family! Very sorry about your dad, I lost my mother the same way, colon cancer in about the same time frame, such a hard thing for families to watch their loved one go that way. Glad you got to be with him, that is what is important. Thanks for what you do.
I have watched your videos over the past three years or so and I keep coming back because I enjoy your humor and positivity. I am not shopping for gear anymore so I watch how you interact with Emmitt and/or your hiking companions. I really appreciate your situation with all that's happened in the last year and can only offer you encouragement to follow your heart to branch out with new projects. you tell a good story and people relate to stories about survivors. My mom and dad are with Jesus and I'm pretty sure we'll all enjoy the kind of adventures we had here when we finally witness the new heaven and earth.
Dan take it from a fellow Christian guy if your dad is up in Heaven with our Lord and Savior, then is well better off than the ones left down here in this crazy world. It's a blessing to know our loved ones make in. Praying for you n your family. Hang in there brother.
I first met you when you interviewed the lass who fell down the mountain with her boy friend. He died, she survived and went on to become a paramedic,if I remember correctly. It was such an inspiring story. Just keep on keeping on. God bless you and yours. Shalom.
Big respect for having the integrity to not put out reviews that you can't fully stand behind, keep doing what you want to do and the rest will fall into place. All the best to you and your family.
We lost my dad a couple of years ago after a loooong battle with lung cancer. It wasn't sudden, we expected it, but it still hurt me to the core. You're right; you're never ready. Mine was in his 60s! Way too young for that. Cancer sucks. Death sucks. But I'm thankful for the promise eternal reunions because of Jesus!
I like it all, the meet ups, the interviews, and the gear reviews. You’re a very good interviewer. Most people don’t get out there either because they don’t want to solo or, lions, bears, & snakes. Anything you can do to facilitate group hiking is a blessing. Your dad was a handsome man. He’s home now. Very sorry for your loss and condolences.
Hi Dan, my condolences, sorry about your father. Also, you looked fine before the surgery and you still do now. I hope you can make a strategy to limit reading comments, might even be easier to have someone else go through them for you sometimes. Please remember that you don’t need to change how you look for anyone else, it doesn’t matter what they think. Hoping you’re doing well.
So sorry about your dad. My prayers for your family. I have enjoyed watching your podcast. I have not yet seen any gear reviews yet but look forward to checking them out.
Nothing makes you feel like a little kid than losing a parent. My dad died suddenly at 54 a decade ago. Was supposed to pick him up to go fishing and didn't answer the door. Was and still is rough. Left Michigan for Colorado and constantly find places that I still find myself saying " damn, dads gotta see this". Heart is with you muchacho Also.. got onX elite. We're here for you.. not just the hiking or gear or whatever. You're good people, Dan. Get Ed Viesturs on if you can
So sorry for your loss, I lost my mom to cancer 10 years ago this October and not a day goes by that I don’t think about her and smile. Keep up the awesome work you are truly an inspiration for all us couch surfers. I’ve recently gotten out and started getting into better shape to get out for my first backpacking trip. Thank you for what you do and share.
I am so sorry for your immense loss. Losing a parent is so very difficult. My Dad passed on St Patrick’s day this year after a fall at home. He was 88. We just celebrated his life on Memorial Day. I have found Modern Loss and found it is a great resource. I am sending you and your family an abundance of love. I hope you find the joy with all the sorrow.
I am so sorry about your Dad. It sounds like your life has really had so much trials and it is so great how you are transparent with us. And just know that I watch your channel not for gear but just for the person you are!
Dan you’re amazing! I am glad you survived your experience! I know God will wrap your loving arms around you and your family at this difficult time! I have spent approximately 40 years in the medical field including trauma and understand your experience. I am a great outdoor lover including camping and would love to do more hiking and have learned a lot from your Chanel and appreciate your knowledge. I have also finished my fifth hospice between family and close friends and it’s an emotional roller coaster. It makes me want to enjoy my surroundings and appreciate it and take it all in. Here’s a suggestion…being older and with health, age, but wanting to stay active on a more limited time / mile hiking and staying safe. Understanding trauma and what can go wrong makes me sometimes over preparing and having to dial down a bit. Bottom line, I love your Chanel please continue in the direction you’re going!
So sorry for your loss 😢 God bless you and your family. So happy you have your kids to move forward. Always remember he’s looking down on them and will be there for you through the good word
When outdoor people meet up in a pub, what do they talk about? They talk about gear they use and tell stories of their adventures. So I think there’s room for all sorts in your channel - because you are also honest and engaging. Big hugs to you and your family
Re: seeing your kids more + reviewing gear + channel pivoting: I suspect while many of us are interested in superlight backpacking, I bet a ton of us do much of our camping as car camping, possibly in big groups. Maybe you could expand into the family-oriented camping space, so you can bring your whole family, plus review gear that can make a real difference in getting atypical folks camping. I.e., not just mid/tall white Europeans with goatees (we're a very well represented segment!). For example, a single-person toilet tent, large inflatable mattress, and ziploc of dry flannels for foot washing have all been godsends for getting my wife to tolerate camping. I'd watch the heck out of a "Gear that will make your family love camping almost as much as you do" channel.
Holding you and your family in Grace. You’ve been through so much in a short space of time, it’s so important to practice self care and do what is most healing and safe for you. It’s been over 15 years since my dad passed and I still have moments of deep sorrow. Most importantly, be gentle with yourself. 🙏🏼❣️
Hey, not on other social media much so just hearing this about your dad. So sorry for your loss but rejoicing in his homecoming. No more sorrow, no more pain. You were blessed that he was with you for so long. Still miss my dad and it’s been nearly 11 years. Praying for you and your family.
Dan, Sincere condolences to you and your family on the passing of your Father. Good luck with your varied endeavours. Truly, people don’t need to buy new gear. Survival stories or discussions with others about what made a hike meaningful are ideal. All the best.
you are a terrific son and an amazing father. Sorry to hear about loosing your dad. You have a knack for reviewing gear and a very honest personality which is why people like you. It is nice to have a mix of outdoor themed videos you have been putting out.
Oh Dan, I am SO sorry for your loss. I agree with you 100% that it doesn't make it easy/ok because they're old. Someone made one of "those" comments when I lost my dad and I kind of lost it on them. I appologized for going off, but it still hurt. Praying for you.
Hey Dan! Just saw the video. Thank you for your transparency and honesty even in the midst of pain. I appreciate your faith perspective as a fellow backpacker and follower of Jesus. Praying for ongoing strength and endurance as you continue!
Thank you for sharing this. We lost our daughter to colorectal after a battle. She was 42. Healing after a loss is never easy. To reach out n share like this takes courage. We love your channel , learned so much. Please stay in the game! But on your terms. We’ll be here. Looking forward to the future podcasts and videos. We’re down in Arkansas..Buffalo River country and OHT. Hugs and prayers for your family. Hearts up! ❤
FCUK yeah! ❤
Well said. Exactly why I watch and got in to backpacking. Thankyou Dan.
This…!
Nailed it!!
So sorry about your Dad. Dan you don't need to explain anything to anyone brother. Family comes 1st always. Prayers for you and your family.
I agree, lost my father during COVID I don’t believe you can ever make up for the loss.
Thank you for all the love and devotion to your dad. All humans matter. Give your love now to others who need that and don't have a loving son like you. You are a Godly man!
Sorry to hear of your loss - it's never an easy time and I'm afraid to say I don't think you ever recover fully. Praying for you and you family.
Yeah, those are great suggestions!
Number one rule if you find a hidden gem: don't talk about it on social media or it will be ruined
@@niceone99great t point
This is what makes the Outdoor Gear Review great too. Gear reviews and trips.
Sorry for your loss. My dad also passed earlier this year. Your thoughts you shared about your dad rang true. Praise God he had a relationship with Jesus.
Lost my dad at 86 and yeah it’s never easy. Praying for comfort for you & your family.
Thanks for the update. We never know how different life events will affect us until we are in the middle of them. You've experienced several major stress events in a short period of time and seem to be handling them well. My guess is your relationship with God is a major factor. Your openness is having a positive effect on others. Keep up the good work.

You certainly don’t have to apologize for anything, it’s called life. Sounds to me like your priorities are in order. I lost my dad seven years ago. I was 37 and he was 72. It still hurts all the time. Thank you for sharing your faith and knowing where your dad is!
I was 21 and my Dad was 47😢
@officialDanBeckerfd Ya for sure! this doesn't look like spam at all :)
Heartbreaking, man. I'm so sorry that it worked out that way.
🙏
@officialDanBeckerfd do you have Gmail?
“Family First” is what we love about you. Just bought your course. I’m an intermediate backpacker but I always love watching your videos so I’m sure I’ll enjoy the course and I need to brush up on a few areas like navigation. Thanks Dan and best wishes to your sweet family as well!
Your testimony about your dad’s relationship with Jesus is everything!!
Relationship with imaginary sky daddy
@@BladePressure despite your feelings on this, I have prayed for you. May the Lord of peace be with you.
I’m sorry for your loss! My condolences are with you and your family! No need to justify!
Sorry to hear about your Dad. Good advice to cherish the time you have with family and friends.
Been following you for such a long time. Just got back from 4 days solo in the Tetons and I am just so thankful for all I have learned from you! It made the trip so much more memorable and remarkable from what I have gleaned. Keep doing what your heart burns for! Much love.
Sorry about your dad. Lost mine a year ago. Miss him every day. It does get a little easier. Knowing he’s in heaven helps a lot. Prayers.
Oh Dan, Im sorry about your Dad…I know the pain as well. May your hearts heal in time. Im sure he was proud of you. 🥰🥾🥾⛺️😎
Amen!
My condolences my brother. I’m sorry about what’s been going on! We love you and you motivate all of us! Do what’s best for you!
I had both upper and lowers done.
Good for you!
I am so so sorry to hear about your father🙏
YES! This!
Sorry for your loss. Beginner hiker. just subscribed to my Onyx. Looking forward to usring to find exciting trails.
That’s so much to deal with in such a short period of time. Prayer sent up for you and your family.
Best of luck. I always encourage your blogs
I am so sorry for you loss and for all that you have been going through in the past year. I am praying for you and your family!
Sorry to hear about your dad. My dad passed the week before a few days before his 85 birthday. He is the reason I love camping and exploring.
Dan, Condolences to you and your family.
So sorry to hear about your dad. We'll be praying for lots of laughter and happy memories for you and your family.
God bless.
Dan, you're honestly one of my top favourite channels to watch and I love the variety you provide. Oh, and I love your podcasts. 👍🙂
My deepest sympathy to you and your family your family in the loss of your father
Thank you Dan for sharing with us. We appreciate you!
We don’t care as much about gear reviews as we do about you and your life and your backpacking adventures. So go on one and show us the fun and challenge and excitement of it all and take one of your children if they wanna go. Thanks for sharing your heart. We love you for it.
God bless you, I will keep watching wherever your evolution takes you!
I'm sorry for your loss. What a blessing, though, to be with your father at the end of his life!
Wishing you the best!
I was just thinking I had seen a video from you and here you are! Thanks for the update. So sorry for your loss. Take care. Enjoy your videos - changing up the format of what you present keeps things fresh - it's all good.
Blessings to you and your family!
Thanks for sharing, enjoy your family! Very sorry about your dad, I lost my mother the same way, colon cancer in about the same time frame, such a hard thing for families to watch their loved one go that way. Glad you got to be with him, that is what is important. Thanks for what you do.
So sorry to hear about your Dad, Dan. Praying for you and family. Savor this time with family. ❤️ As you know, it can change in a heart beat.
I’m really sorry about the loss of your Dad. Love and prayers to you and your family ❤️
Love your channel and all that you are doing!
You're the one of the best! All the love to you and your family
Shalom.
Sorry for your lost...
Heart is with you muchacho
Also.. got onX elite. We're here for you.. not just the hiking or gear or whatever. You're good people, Dan. Get Ed Viesturs on if you can
Prayers for you and your family. I watch to hear your honest engaging conversations
So sorry to hear about your dad’s passing but am blessed to hear that he is with Jesus. Thanks Dan for always being open and honest. God Bless
So sorry to hear about your dad. We love you Dan! We appreciate all the work you put into this channel! God bless!
My Dad took me on my first overnight trip. My first hike. My first fishing trip. Great man.
Thanks for the update. I will add you to my prayer list that I say before going to bed. God Bless.
Hearts up! ❤
