It’s getting harder and clearly disappointing to continue to hear that that these older fabulous homes are being demolished 😢 I wish the more of the wealthier class ( and developers ) would have more interest it saving and restoring these places rather getting rid of them for new STUFF !
In the late 1800's early 1900's they used marble and granite for alot of bathrooms and bathtubs. Very elegant. Which is why they use it for countertops in kitchens now. I could tell which decades the add ons were made by the materials used(60's, 70's, 80's) Thanks for the tour!
Beautiful footage of the mansion. The thought of it being demolished is sad. It’s a beautiful estate. Loved the circular rooms. So much to love about this property. Looked like a Nice cedar closet in the attic. (The room you said smells like wood) there’s tons of work it needs. No one would restore it I don’t think, but worst part is losing so much of the old structures and the craftsmanship that was put into each house all those years ago.❤
They want to build a distribution center with 60 plus semi's going through it a day in Highland Park IL. It's the old solo cup factory right across the street from Highland Park police station. You should check that out and do a story about it. No one else is. Not one person in the community wants this but it looks like it's going to go through. Next council meeting is Oct. 23rd.
It's Beautiful, the mahogany everywhere is really cool. I would have loved to see the greenhouse in its day. The white flowers towards the end are really pretty too ❤
The box above the door isn't an alarm it's the old doorbell lmao! That's how they looked back in the day. Balconies out a big window with no door means you step out the large window to get out there. That was part of why Windows were bigger.
It's a shame that this beautiful mansion is going to be torn down. It still has a lot to offer the right person. But now days it 's just not worth doing anything with it. So sad.
Just from looking at the view of the water i can tell where this is because i have lived near chicago my whole life. This has to be somewhere between Wilmette to Lake forest

Don’t they have protection on property’s of such age we have in the Uk so buildings left will be looked after and preserved for future generations holding the history
Those doors you called sliding doors they are called pocket doors they actually save space instead of swinging in or out to hit something they slide in a pocket in the walls they are pretty neat actually. And that mahogany would work in that home was beautiful the mahogany railing and trim on the ceiling was spectacular i wish historical societies would take interest in some of these older house's and repair them instead of demolishing them this should be a CRIME but these day's wealthy people people are spoiled brats and all they have to do is sling some their money around and do whatever they want but i dont think that house is to far gone to b e saved myself!
I'm assuming Lake Michigan. Many of his vids are from IL and them waves were hitting hard. Its like our own little ocean ;) LOTS of erosion up and down the coast as well...could be the reason the place was sold off and being torn down but not the gate house yet
I mean i know its sad but if its being delmolished then id take everything that looks like gold and jewls because its probably rare and worth alot of money
"Hidden" cameras don't really prevent anything.... Video is better with sound turned off. Now i know why never been here and not many views. Bein vacant doesn't mean wide open to illegal entry.
Boy,,,would Love to do Some Paranormal Investigating in this house!!❤❤I Love it,when the Homes are Not Trashed!! To the Idiots that DO Trash houses,,,,STOP IT!!❤❤
What floors me about videos like this is that mostly what the viewer gets to see is the camera jumping atound from ceiling to floor and from door to door, while he chats about what he's looking at which the viewer may --‐ or may not ---- get to see.. There is such a thing as editing. You might want to learn about it. Not a pleasant experience! Adios
Thank you for the tour. It would have been better if You had stood back and focused on all the rooms instead of just the details as we could have had a better picture of what the house looked like.

Because the middle classes are quite content with being closer to minimilist and still having a decent quality of life, and leisure and exercise, than putting a noose around their neck for the sake of presenting they are to the manor born, yet still existing and enjoying, a really decent, doable, and realistic standard of living.
It is a beautiful estate. IF I was a billionaire I would buy it, and restore it lovingly to its full glory, and hire two grounds keepers. And two maintenance craftsmanship tradies, two domestic service attending plus myself for inside, as a well oiled machine team; and produce it as a novelty and very nice tourist accommodation abbey, of course readers .
BUT, I am not a billionaire am I ?
😂 So stop suing me litigators. Stop suing me. 😁☺️😑
This beautiful❤
Don’t they have protection on property’s of such age we have in the Uk so buildings left will be looked after and preserved for future generations holding the history
That rail going upstairs, that's a stair lift.
I would love to see the basement
I forgot to film it 😭
@@StringerMedia maybe you can do that for a later video 📸
Is it always so windy there
Where is this mansion?
New york
I know where this is, it's not in NY.
I thought it was on Lake Michigan near Chicago??
@@marjoriemorris5849 cool. Thanks 👍.
Couldn't be abandoned long because the power is still on.
Who employed the people if the owner went missing ???
Those doors you called sliding doors they are called pocket doors they actually save space instead of swinging in or out to hit something they slide in a pocket in the walls they are pretty neat actually. And that mahogany would work in that home was beautiful the mahogany railing and trim on the ceiling was spectacular i wish historical societies would take interest in some of these older house's and repair them instead of demolishing them this should be a CRIME but these day's wealthy people people are spoiled brats and all they have to do is sling some their money around and do whatever they want but i dont think that house is to far gone to b e saved myself!
You don't sound Canadian, so I'm assuming this is in the U.S. what part?
I live in Rural Illinois
Nice voice.
What Lake is this ?
I'm assuming Lake Michigan. Many of his vids are from IL and them waves were hitting hard. Its like our own little ocean ;) LOTS of erosion up and down the coast as well...could be the reason the place was sold off and being torn down but not the gate house yet
Love this ❤️
Things in the floor. Hahaha!
Sad, the beautiful mansuon, alone, waisting money, if i have, so much money, ill never, put up a big house mansion, castle, in one place😮
12 million for the dirt
I mean i know its sad but if its being delmolished then id take everything that looks like gold and jewls because its probably rare and worth alot of money
Lovely home

Where is this???
Servants quarter next to the nursery
I think that’s marble in that looks like 1985 wallpaper
I wish we could restore it.
1897 ?
Guy going thru house is not informed of items, such as pocket doors.
Best laid plans of mice and men. And deserted. Sad.
"Hidden" cameras don't really prevent anything....
Video is better with sound turned off. Now i know why never been here and not many views. Bein vacant doesn't mean wide open to illegal entry.
Like to see that lake

Property owner said to not share location till new house is lived in
those are called Pocket doors.. its sad to see a lovely old home being destroyed by time and neglect...
Wouldve brought some stuff with me
it's a mansion but it's really large...lol
It looks like Clapper boards
What floors me about videos like this is that mostly what the viewer gets to see is the camera jumping atound from ceiling to floor and from door to door, while he chats about what he's looking at which the viewer may --‐ or may not ---- get to see..
There is such a thing as editing. You might want to learn about it.
Not a pleasant experience!
Adios
16 million and the kitchen is tiny af. Not impressed.
What is the address? I’d like to repurposed
Herbs because it’s close to the kitchen
Купи стабилизатор камеры. Картинка дергается очень сильно
Спасибо
Thank you for the tour. It would have been better if You had stood back and focused on all the rooms instead of just the details
as we could have had a better picture of what the house looked like.
