Angela, I keep seeing things for the first time about the U.P. that I haven't seen before in other U.P. videos. Like camping in a cabin during winter in the Porkies with her winter beauty, Lake Superior with her stunning winter coat, running waterfalls under the shroud of deep snow, birds flocking to you like Snow White in the movie. Incredible stuff and you took the time and energy to film and share it with us. Your genuine warmth of spirit is mirrored in the the beauty of all that surrounds you...the beauty of the forest, the snow, the murmuring of the brooks, the serene sound of the waterfalls, the rising of a bright and glowing moon. You have my sincere thanks and respect for being so good at what you do. As always, please take the very best of care. Bye!
Great video. It was calming except for the (sort of) nosey passersby. Years ago, my dad was a member of The Silent Sporters based out of Crystal Falls. They went on that same trail/hike during a winter full moon. It was so bright they didn't even need the lanterns lit but the organizer lit them in advance of their hike, anticipating darker conditions. They used White Birch to breakout the snacks, hot cocoa, wine and smores. They took pictures and didn't even need a flash. They said it was magical. So clad to see you enjoyed it too.
Its a really fun little trek! I went on the lantern lit snowshoe hike myself a couple years ago when it was below zero. Never went into the cabin at the time, but the rangers had a fire and it was great to warm up.
Thanks for a very EXCELLENT vid! Always look forward to your stuff. Must be that time of the year for "Food Lock". Couldn't think of anything for supper tomorrow but thanks to you I am having chicken stir fry(your first meal). Then that little snack made me get some ham and cheese and crackers and my dog (Freyja the Husky beggar) and I snacked on that stuff during your vid! Not going to loose weight watching you. Take care!
There's nothing better than really good food! I was just made aware of the fact that they make individual servings of sauerkraut, so Im thinking that reubens may have to be an upcoming camping meal!
Thanks for the great video! As always you are a great and calming guide. I especially loved the moon sequence and the redpoll buffet on the cabin roof. And of course the State of Alaska merch was noticed by the keen observer. Lol.
I've been to the Porkies many times, but never in the winter. That must change! Just never know if it will be accessible. Those "fleas" are actually not fleas at all there called spring tails, I've always just called them snow fleas as well. 🤷♂️ What a beautifully peaceful way to spend spring break!👍✌
Just got back from our second trip to the U.P. in this last 2 months. Thank you. We are absolutely in love with it and we usually winter in the Caribbean. Have been watching your videos and it really inspired us. I'm applying for an artist residence in the porkies for next year. Never, ever imagined it could be so beautiful and we just got back from hiking in the snow! Anyway, this midwest couple says thank you for sharing!
Cool video! You are brave doing that by yourself. We're thinking about staying in the same cabin in August. Just kind of scary now with the intruders you had. The cabin does lock from the inside right? Lol... I stayed at Whitetail last summer and saw a bear on the way in. Ever seen any bears? And where is the closest waterfall from White birch cabin?
Nice video and adventure. Your intruders are a little worrisome distraction, but you fared well. The quality and content of your videos continue to provide enjoyment. Stay well and keep up the adventure vlogging. I appreciate it. I get to visit Gogebic County vicariously. Namasté

Haha! One step at a time, you'll get there :)
The sunset, moonrise, fire, bird's and you are all as equally beautiful....thanks for sharing your joy of wilderness camping...
Thank you kindly!
Cool the U.P. has alot of fun stuff at this time of the year so enjoy.

You are a better observer than I lol, I wasnt even aware that I was wearing state of AK gear?
@@AngelaJoyAdventures It's a curse. I see things. Maybe it can be a "Where's Waldo" for viewers. Look for the AK state flag logo...

There's certain cabins that stay open all Winter. I would like to go in the actual winter, maybe around Yuletime.

Glamorous winter landscape scenery, and really touching shots.
Thank you!

This was a good episode, I am happy for another season of the GT show. Keep it up Angela, your lemonade stand is the best on the block!!!!
Thanks Tom! I appreciate my biggest cheerleader.
Hooray for da UP, eh!

Thank you for being patient with my internet struggles last night and for all of the kind words. I appreciate it!
Is that a Garmin Inreach you have on?
Yes!
Awesome! I live in the lower part of the Lower Peninsula. I got an inreach for the day I go way off the grid. Haven’t yet though :-(
You're adorable
