For a week I haven’t lost. I have prayed, taken deep breaths, avoided triggers, and I just barely scrapped by just now by avoiding porn again and not putting my hand where it should be.. I. Am. Tired. This video gives me hope. I have been battling this addiction for four years, and this time I won’t let it sweep the floor from beneath me. I am sixteen years old and refuse to give up. Enough is enough. No longer a slave to sin, but a slave to righteousness.

Yes there needs to be boundaries and commitments to being and doing better, speaking as a 16 year old boy, its going to be easier, we just need to walk in the authority of Jesus and say No. God sees you friend through the lens of his Son, Not Your Performance or your own Shortcomings and Sins. So therefore when you do stumble confess it and move on. He wants the best for us and will forgive us. He wants us to come to Him. What I’m trying to say, is that He isn’t disappointed in you. He is there for you always and will always forgive you if you truly want to be forgiven. We think he might be disappointed in us because of how the people in our lives act when we do them wrong. But remember, God, our creator, is not like that. Always has open arms for you
If you are a believer (born again) you are already righteous because of Jesus! Jesus will help us make the change keep the faith and keep praying! I just sat down in my bathroom after a very difficult and stressful day. I’ve been good for such a LONG TIME! Though I struggled with this temptation for over 20 years. But all I kept thinking about right now was going on the browser and looking at things I shouldn’t just to take the pain away for a moment. But instead i opened TH-cam instead and this was the first video that showed up. So thankful of you for sharing this and all the wonderful people with comments and encouragement. The lord is so good.

We have to read the word of God. It washes our mind clean. The closer we get to God the more our flesh dies. I can speak this because reading the word of God helped me break addictions to a lot of different drugs. No rehab. There is power in those words. I’m dealing with lustful thoughts still but they are fading, and I know that one day soon I’m gonna be able to be completely free. It does go away. He’s our living hope.
For women, we tend to be drawn more towards porn in a written form. Books, wattpad, fanfics, you name it. Just because it comes in a different form doesn’t mean it’s not porn. We gotta be aware of it and reject it in all its forms. I’ve known many women who’ve struggled, and I know those who have overcome it. I myself have felt tempted from time to time which obviously is natural. But we are called to reject the natural man, not to indulge it! You all got this guys!!!!!

1 Cor 6:18 the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. This verse helped me understand why Job made a covenant with his eyes and not God in this verse New Living Translation Job 31:1 “I made a covenant with my eyes not to look with lust at a young woman. I seriously prayed this verse over my eyes and to this day a fear comes over me every time I see a pretty girl praise Jesus for His word
idk if having fear is good either! you can not lust after people without having fear. Maybe we can just replace that fear with not having a desire to lust. God loves you
I find that when the temptation of lust is strongest, the easiest way to fight it is to fill your mind with the word of God and meditate on it continuesly so that there won't be any room for thoughts of lust. Specially reading the Mosaic laws in the Bible really uplifts the spirit.
That is partly true but remember that we flee from lust rather than fight it. We have to remove somethings in our lives if they cause to think lustfully
@@BrandonMorals when I say meditate, I don't mean it in like a "keep repeating a verse over and over again", but rather think about teachings in the Bible and try and gain understanding on topics we might not fully grasp :) that's why Mosaic law is great cos it's the fundamentals of God's law. So we can go into deep thoughts and cross reference those laws with modern day life and how it applies to teachings of Jesus etc. It's all about having something to combat or drown out thoughts of temptation. Cos temptation becomes rampant when you have nothing to do. When your mind is idle. So it's important to have something good in our mind so that we can not fall into that state of idleness. Cos as the old saying goes "an idle mind is the devil's workshop". So read the Bible and let its words fill your mind. Hope this helps. 🙂

However since you are talking about the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath belongs to Mosaic law. Mosaic law however was meant to be observed ONLY BY THE ISRAELITES before the birth of Jesus. However through Jesus, we are freed from the Mosaic law. That's why in Matthew 11:28-30 he said the following: 28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. So do not worry about Mosaic law. Simply try your best not to live in sin. To love Everyone as yourself. And most importantly repent of any sins you might commit and ask for forgiveness while you forgive those you might despise or who have wronged you. For doing these makes you sealed into the righteousness Jesus wants us to observe and thereby guarantees our salvation. After that if you want to observe the Sabbath or anything else mentioned in the Mosaic law like not eating pork or getting tattoos or even circumcision, then do it simply out of desire to do it and not out of compulsion. Cos trying to follow Mosaic law to enter heaven is nearly impossible, especially in modern times. So do not try. Cos trying to do so will drive you insane and that's why it's stated in the Bible that he who tries to observe the Mosaic law is accursed.

Also with our Bishop saying suspicious things like saying he likes the word “Woke” and putting it in last year’s slogan, and talking about social justice, I decided to distance myself and watch other men of God like Vodie Baucham.
The problem is that you are thinking it's a battle.Its a matter of fleeing lust and doing things such as reading the word that occupy our minds so those thoughts don't come
Just like almost every other battle a person may go through in their life, it's always a process. Sometimes you lose, but you have to be consistent in your resistance to change over time.
My victories are all in God. I started experiencing greater liberty from temptations when I started to read God's word daily and before bed. Always praying for deliverance and thanking Him for all the blessings He has already given me. It is still hard, there are times where I feel like I will buckle and bend, but it is love for Jesus that strengthens me. Wanting to say more than just, "You know I love you." But to be able to say to God, "Look at my struggles in your name. See how hard I strive to deny myself for your name’s sake. God, my Father, my Redeemer, and my Counselor, I have shown you that I love you."
What also really helps me right now is getting truly angry towards the sin I was commiting, like I'm battling the demon of lust, that way I don't let myself get tempted into thinking it's no so bad and argue myself into sinning.
It also helps if you can see the damage that lust causes in the world. You might only be having tempting thoughts, but it's the same sin that leads to sex slavery and child pornography. When you look at the extremes, you can really see why it is so disgusting.
The Holy Spirit is speaking to me right now. This was my whole day today. Needed to hear this. It's a sign we are saved that we have the temptation, for it shows the conviction is inside of us of why it would be wrong, showing us we can't go down that path. Thanks brother, God bless you.
@@_FearNoEvil oh and i forgot to mention: Whenever temptation arises, be sure to quote Scripture. When Jesus was tempted by the devil in the wilderness, Satan used God's Word to tempt him. Each time, Jesus responded with "It is written" and quotes Scripture. The devil will flee from you if you rely on the Word and power of God

I fought that demon too, but once I understood Deliverance, I called it up and sent it away. Now I pray for others to receive their healing and freedom.
Amen brother. There was a time I would get tempted and even still when I do God would speak to me by having me come across these type of videos, conviction, guilt or any way available for me to stay away from sexual sin.

Man I wish I would’ve stayed a virgin. I fell into prostitution in my early 20’s and it’s been a terrible shameful experience everyday since I committed this sin. Can someone pray for me? I feel like since I already did this, what’s the point anymore..

Just remember the past is done with and doesn't exist anymore. Forgive yourself, I know it's easier said than done but we are imperfect. Trust me I struggle with shame too but are past doesn't define who we are.
This is exactly what I needed I have been talking to my friend about him getting baptized and he was worried about temptations after baptism I sent this to him to let him know that this is life after baptism and it is worth it if you trust in god every step of the way

Thank you so much for spreading the hope and truth of the gospel. As someone who personally struggles with lust, and that kind of sin. I must say thank you for making the type of content that reaches all sorts of people. Words that cut to the bone with the truth and love that Jesus gave to us. With this serious sin, we must not take it lightly, our responsibilities as Christ followers to follow his teachings.
This is one major thing I wish my church had. Groups of men where we could open up and pray for each other through these weaknesses instead of judging each other and feeling afraid to admit to a breathren that this is hard for many of us to overcome. God doesn't condone Immorality (including fornication). That means that fulfilling your sexual desires with a girlfriend (anyone you're not married to) is sin. That aside, even without a wife, Christ is still beyond powerful enough through his spirit to purify our desires if we submit them to him. The question now is how do you do that? The first and most obvious thing is of course closing every door of temptation that the devil would use against you. This could be letting go of old friends and partners who used to lead us to sin, getting off some media that used to expose us to temptation and alot more. But there's more to that submission of our thoughts and desires to God ...are you interested in knowing more bro?

I'm sure God would have multiple other ways of letting you know he wants you to get married and there's no where it suggests in scripture that lustful desires are a sign from the Lord to be married. I failed one day, went straight to bed without thinking much. I woke up 10 minutes after with EXTREME guilt. I couldn't sit still. Because I was so guilty. And even after that experience, I still fail so much. I feel defeated. I need prayer.
I have a terminal illness now, and know that i am not well enough for a relationship. I'd rather be in a relationship with a woman and make love, instead of just sex. I do miss sex with a woman so i "do my thing", and i feel so ashamed. I'm reading the word and trying my best to overcome my lust for sex and the touch of a woman, its very difficult. I hope i can stop. I pray for other people, but most of the time when i do pray for myself, i always pray for only guidance, wisdom, and for God to destroy my lust. I feel im the best human being i can be, im empathetic, sympathetic, humane, not a punk, i was also raised to be tough as well, but lust has been my biggest struggle my entire life. I will be 41yrs old in 3 days.
Praying the rosary daily and the graces one obtains from doing so is the surest way to deal with those temptations. You can't do both, pray it and continue with those sins. Meditating on the sorrowful mysteries especially, and recognizing how my sins of the flesh were helping to add to Christ's suffering and passion, were powerful for me.
I was once addicted to porn and I beat myself up every single day because of it. One day, I cried out to the LORD and asked Him to free me completely from lust and giving into the temptation. And alas, I’m no longer addicted, from that day on, I have made a few step backs, but I’ve gotten up and repented and prayed to continue fighting the good fight of Faith. It’s been 6 months since I’ve touched porn. PRAISE THE LORD ❤️🙏🏾🙏🏾

Love you brother, thank you. I agree with you. I battled against sins and lust for many years. Eventually i would lean on God like you said and i would be delivered. I was working and i didnt need pron. Then after i lost my job I fell back into it. Then i kept fighting and praying. I eventually hit rock bottom one night and i cried out from heart for Him to save me and gave everything i had inside to dedicate myself to Him and I haven't needed pron since. Tho i have had a few moments that were borderline. It's a choice everyday, but its nowhere neeeeeeeeaaaarrrrr as bad it was. Praise Jesus. Be led.

As a female I'm embarrassed for coming forward but I've been struggling with lust since I was young like around 10-11yo, I am now 22 and tbh I don't even know how this started or where this addictiveness type of thing came from. I tried seeking help from therapy and GPs but nothing lasted long😢 and I know we're not meant to worry or feel guilty in this situation but sometimes I feel so filthy or just not well presented or a good person spiritually enough to be infront of God, but not just the God but the lord of the universes, a creator of all, Jesus, the holy spirit, the greatest of them all and I'm this lil spec that keeps promising that I can change, that I will fight to be committed to him but I keep breaking it and I know that breaks his heart and it keeps reminding me of Genesis 6:6, I know I'm doing wrong but I don't know how to just stop for good sometimes I do really well for a good couple weeks or months and then out of no where I just fall off again and i do turn to God afterwards but it just doesn't sit right, I think of how terrible of a daughter i am to repetitively do wrong and i try not to but 😢😢💔

Daily disciple, I ask for your prayers. I just got done watching things I shouldn’t have and I feel awful. I’m a teenager who wants to be a preacher when I graduate.I prayed to God and I know he’ll forgive me but I’m still scared I won’t be able to overcome this temptation. I’ve been trying to quit for a month and I can’t seem to get more than 2 weeks before relapsing. I’ve been studying the word of God more thoroughly lately and you’ve helped me with that. But I don’t know how to overcome this.

Sin starts when you desire to engage in disorderly sexual conduct or to take your neighbor's spouse as your own. Basically, desiring anything evil. Having sexual cravings is a result of how God made you (you are not sinning merely by having sexual cravings--if that is what you call "lusting"). You can have sexual cravings and have a pure heart and self-control, and not desire to take another person's spouse. If any of these is lacking, then you need to be saved/delivered from sin. And that comes from submission to God: James 4:6-8 6 ... “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. I can speak this because reading the word of God helped me break addictions to a lot of different drugs. No rehab. There is power in those words. I’m dealing with lustful thoughts still but they are fading, and I know that one day soon I’m gonna be able to be completely free. It does go away. He’s our living hope.

For women, we tend to be drawn more towards porn in a written form. Books, wattpad, fanfics, you name it. Just because it comes in a different form doesn’t mean it’s not porn. We gotta be aware of it and reject it in all its forms. I’ve known many women who’ve struggled, and I know those who have overcome it. I myself have felt tempted from time to time which obviously is natural. But we are called to reject the natural man, not to indulge it! You all got this guys!!!!!

I find that when the temptation of lust is strongest, the easiest way to fight it is to fill your mind with the word of God and meditate on it continuesly so that there won't be any room for thoughts of lust.
Specially reading the Mosaic laws in the Bible really uplifts the spirit.
That is partly true but remember that we flee from lust rather than fight it. We have to remove somethings in our lives if they cause to think lustfully

@@BrandonMorals when I say meditate, I don't mean it in like a "keep repeating a verse over and over again", but rather think about teachings in the Bible and try and gain understanding on topics we might not fully grasp :) that's why Mosaic law is great cos it's the fundamentals of God's law. So we can go into deep thoughts and cross reference those laws with modern day life and how it applies to teachings of Jesus etc. It's all about having something to combat or drown out thoughts of temptation. Cos temptation becomes rampant when you have nothing to do. When your mind is idle. So it's important to have something good in our mind so that we can not fall into that state of idleness. Cos as the old saying goes "an idle mind is the devil's workshop". So read the Bible and let its words fill your mind. Hope this helps. 🙂

@@BrandonMorals idk why you are asking such a question, cos as far as I know, there isn't a single law telling you not to rest or to rest only on the Sabbath.
However since you are talking about the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath belongs to Mosaic law. Mosaic law however was meant to be observed ONLY BY THE ISRAELITES before the birth of Jesus. However through Jesus, we are freed from the Mosaic law.
That's why in Matthew 11:28-30 he said the following:
28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
So do not worry about Mosaic law. Simply try your best not to live in sin. To love Everyone as yourself. And most importantly repent of any sins you might commit and ask for forgiveness while you forgive those you might despise or who have wronged you. For doing these makes you sealed into the righteousness Jesus wants us to observe and thereby guarantees our salvation.
After that if you want to observe the Sabbath or anything else mentioned in the Mosaic law like not eating pork or getting tattoos or even circumcision, then do it simply out of desire to do it and not out of compulsion. Cos trying to follow Mosaic law to enter heaven is nearly impossible, especially in modern times. So do not try. Cos trying to do so will drive you insane and that's why it's stated in the Bible that he who tries to observe the Mosaic law is accursed.

Lust is like having a mosquito bite, it gets worse when you scratch it but heals over time when you leave it.
My victories are all in God. I started experiencing greater liberty from temptations when I started to read God's word daily and before bed. Always praying for deliverance and thanking Him for all the blessings He has already given me. It is still hard, there are times where I feel like I will buckle and bend, but it is love for Jesus that strengthens me. Wanting to say more than just, "You know I love you." But to be able to say to God, "Look at my struggles in your name. See how hard I strive to deny myself for your name’s sake. God, my Father, my Redeemer, and my Counselor, I have shown you that I love you."
Yes, very similar for me and GOD began to show me the tricks of the enemy. Like a magician once you know the tricks they can’t amaze you anymore.

Best way to dull the lusts of the flesh is by fasting. Pray, surrender to God, and make sure to ask for strength, faith, and humility.
What also really helps me right now is getting truly angry towards the sin I was commiting, like I'm battling the demon of lust, that way I don't let myself get tempted into thinking it's no so bad and argue myself into sinning.
It also helps if you can see the damage that lust causes in the world. You might only be having tempting thoughts, but it's the same sin that leads to sex slavery and child pornography. When you look at the extremes, you can really see why it is so disgusting.

As someone who personally struggles with lust, and that kind of sin. I must say thank you for making the type of content that reaches all sorts of people. Words that cut to the bone with the truth and love that Jesus gave to us.
With this serious sin, we must not take it lightly, our responsibilities as Christ followers to follow his teachings.
This is one major thing I wish my church had. Groups of men where we could open up and pray for each other through these weaknesses instead of judging each other and feeling afraid to admit to a breathren that this is hard for many of us to overcome.

It's easier when you have a wife or a girlfriend, but it sucks when you're alone😢
God doesn't condone Immorality (including fornication). That means that fulfilling your sexual desires with a girlfriend (anyone you're not married to) is sin.
That aside, even without a wife, Christ is still beyond powerful enough through his spirit to purify our desires if we submit them to him. The question now is how do you do that?
The first and most obvious thing is of course closing every door of temptation that the devil would use against you. This could be letting go of old friends and partners who used to lead us to sin, getting off some media that used to expose us to temptation and alot more.
But there's more to that submission of our thoughts and desires to God ...are you interested in knowing more bro?
@@akinoluolusina Sure God has the power to change your desires, but most of the time He doesn't. He gives one gift to one person and a different gift to another. If you are struggling with lust then God wants you to get married.

It's in the bible like that. God wants us to be totally Holy as he is holy. That can't be possible if he expects some of us to still retain lust within them. If you're struggling with lust, there is freedom in Christ. If you're in Christ and haven't found the freedom yet, it doesn't mean that Christ does not will to free you, it means you need new understanding

I have a terminal illness now, and know that i am not well enough for a relationship. I'd rather be in a relationship with a woman and make love, instead of just sex. I do miss sex with a woman so i "do my thing", and i feel so ashamed. I'm reading the word and trying my best to overcome my lust for sex and the touch of a woman, its very difficult. I hope i can stop. I pray for other people, but most of the time when i do pray for myself, i always pray for only guidance, wisdom, and for God to destroy my lust. I feel im the best human being i can be, im empathetic, sympathetic, humane, not a punk, i was also raised to be tough as well, but lust has been my biggest struggle my entire life. I will be 41yrs old in 3 days.

Praying the rosary daily and the graces one obtains from doing so is the surest way to deal with those temptations. You can't do both, pray it and continue with those sins. Meditating on the sorrowful mysteries especially, and recognizing how my sins of the flesh were helping to add to Christ's suffering and passion, were powerful for me.
This spoke to me so directly, brought tears to my eyes. God is good thanks for sharing.

Love you brother, thank you. I agree with you. I battled against sins and lust for many years. Eventually i would lean on God like you said and i would be delivered. I was working and i didnt need pron. Then after i lost my job I fell back into it. Then i kept fighting and praying. I eventually hit rock bottom one night and i cried out from heart for Him to save me and gave everything i had inside to dedicate myself to Him and I haven't needed pron since. Tho i have had a few moments that were borderline. It's a choice everyday, but its nowhere neeeeeeeeaaaarrrrr as bad it was. Praise Jesus. Be led.

As a female I'm embarrassed for coming forward but I've been struggling with lust since I was young like around 10-11yo, I am now 22 and tbh I don't even know how this started or where this addictiveness type of thing came from. I tried seeking help from therapy and GPs but nothing lasted long😢 and I know we're not meant to worry or feel guilty in this situation but sometimes I feel so filthy or just not well presented or a good person spiritually enough to be infront of God, but not just the God but the lord of the universes, a creator of all, Jesus, the holy spirit, the greatest of them all and I'm this lil spec that keeps promising that I can change, that I will fight to be committed to him but I keep breaking it and I know that breaks his heart and it keeps reminding me of Genesis 6:6, I know I'm doing wrong but I don't know how to just stop for good sometimes I do really well for a good couple weeks or months and then out of no where I just fall off again and i do turn to God afterwards but it just doesn't sit right, I think of how terrible of a daughter i am to repetitively do wrong and i try not to but 😢😢💔

I’m a teenager who wants to be a preacher when I graduate.I prayed to God and I know he’ll forgive me but I’m still scared I won’t be able to overcome this temptation. Sin starts when you desire to engage in disorderly sexual conduct or to take your neighbor's spouse as your own. Basically, desiring anything evil. Having sexual cravings is a result of how God made you (you are not sinning merely by having sexual cravings--if that is what you call "lusting"). You can have sexual cravings and have a pure heart and self-control, and not desire to take another person's spouse. If any of these is lacking, then you need to be saved/delivered from sin. And that comes from submission to God:
James 4:6-8
6 ... “God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.
