      Please can you tell, If there would be any problem in printing the design if we design work in photoshop not adobe illustrator and what should be the dimensions of document for full resolution work in printing.
      Thanks

    • @CharleyPangus
      @CharleyPangus  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      There shouldn't be any problems printing using a Photoshop file that is 300 dpi.

      @mehaksuddle1757 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's cool many thanks! And as you mentioned in video to have 15 inches by 22 inches size of canvas, would that be necessary for printing too?

    When you type on a path in Photoshop it's easier to use the shape tool instead of the Marquee tool. Pronounced "Mar-Key" Grab the shape tool and select "Path" create any shape you want, resize, warp or whatever, then type on the path you just created. You'll still be able to resize it even after you type on it.. When you get it perfect just rasterize the layer and you're golden! Also, to make easier adjustments using the Marquee tool, drag out your shape, go to Select > Transform Selection, and then you'll be able to easily resize it any way you want! Thanks, and keep up the good work! peaceout!

  • @CharleyPangus

    To make a series of designs it would take some design skills or some money to pay a designer to do it for you. If you had time you could always learn then do it yourself, but to sale them you have to know how to approach the market and have to know how to make your brand presentable, which will take a good designer or design skills. There are many people that design there own stuff and sell those designs on sites like bigcartel or storeenvy.
    I hope this all helps,
    -Charley

    Thanks for the tutorial! By the way, around 18:01 min you are using an ellipse marquee tool. I see you use alt key to make it round, adding to that you could use spacebar key to move the selection (drag) while you have your left mouse button still pressed so you avoid redoing your selection!

    Great tutorial, really learned a LOT, great presentation, generally very easy to follow and duplicate, but there are a couple places where you present keyboard strokes (control whatever) that were impossible to figure out. Especially when adding/inverting the text at the bottom of the graphic, and when adjusting the layers to hide the wolf's ears. Definite noob here, but very, very appreciative of your tutorials. Thanks!

    Is there something specific you need to do before taking the design to a screen printer? That's the part I need to know...what happens after you design it? Is it saved a specific way? Are you doing it on black because the shirt will be black or do you remove the background and save the design as a vector?

    I'm looking for tips on how to prepare the file for printing and what shirt companies you recommend printing with? Screen print vs digital? If I am using a company such as uber prints to print less than bulk how do I create a file to upload onto a different color without having a box around the design?

    • @CharleyPangus
      @CharleyPangus  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      amanda pratt First of all make sure the document is set to CYMK not RGB. (CYMK is for printing colors.) When you make the design and send it to the print shop you want it to have all layers separated for example, white, red, and blue would all need to have there own layer. Each layer needs to have a transparent background, to do this you will need to use the select color range option, choose the color then right right click and copy to a new layer. This will make sure that color you choose is on its own layer.
      It is hard to explain, I will try to cover this in my next videos. Thank you for watching :]
