You people are completely missing the main factor. The praise, the hype heaped upon Cole Palmer is being thrown into the faces of the other young players. They are all looking to also make their mark, to get noticed by the fans and the general public. So they will mainly think and play as individuals as evidenced with that penalty kick argument. So yes, they are young, they are kids, but the success of Cole Palmer has got the rest of them anxious to prove their worth as individuals, not as a team.

@@jleemagee We had FA Cup match against Man City and just in 3 days game against Arsenal so fatigue played a role.

@@jleemagee City also played 3 games in just 3 days. The game against Real Madrid was played in 120 minutes + penalty shootout. You can see how exhauted this team were.
