    The HighCountry is the equivalent to the regular Denali. Denali Ultimate is a step above both.

    • @Dive-Bar-Casanova
      @Dive-Bar-Casanova ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes check options vs price. Ultimate may not be as much more money than we think.

      @@Dive-Bar-Casanova Yes, exactly. The Ultimate has everything a fully loaded regular Denali or HighCountry has, and some more. The addtional cost comes from the Ultimate exclusive Vader Chrome trim/badges, extra premium wood trim & leather surfaces, suede headliner, power massaging seats, and premium Bose sound system. The Duramax is standard as well.

    One other thing to note is the 13.4in screen is lower on the gmc due to placement of the vents which causes the console shifter to block some of the views. 🤦‍♂️

    JB your content and videos are always fabulous. In fact so much so that I ordered the 24 Denali Ultimate Dually and it just arrived. Of course I’m on vacation out of town when this thing arrives a month early. I can’t wait to put these hands on her. That said if you’re up for a Florida break your welcomed to come and review the latest ultimate. We take delivery Tuesday, 06/27 at 6pm.

    Love the comparison, I'd like to see the ltz, high country comparison I built to the other night and ltz almost had everything the high country had but came in 5k less, only thing I could tell is you had a more interior options and little better trim inside. If even like to see the at4 in the comparison, I do like the midnight high country though, just wish they would let you get the night shade with it.

    Great comparison. I noticed on the options for your gasser a dual alternator setup. Would love to see a closeup video of that setup. My 22 only has one and I am having a difficult time finding what parts I need to add a second alternator to charge lithium's in my RV. 2 local dealers and 2 online GM parts say they can't help me to get the additional parts needed to add second alternator, their system doesn't support a "kit" to add second alternator. I'm going to do it one way or the other.

    Great Video,
    Because GMC is the flagship / name carrier GM - Chevy is just one of the brands. Many options on the Chevys are standard on the GMC.
    The Denali Ultimate needs to have all black interior as an options. The baby poop orange/brown is revolting; knockoff from King Ranch.
    I like the placement of the trailer controller better on the HC than the DU. Has anyone driven across country in these? GM is known for horrible seats.
    The screen is too low. The screen need to be as close to the drivers line-of-sight as possible.

    Both are nice. The Denali Ultimate is going to be a pretty good amount more than a High Country though. One thing with your truck is the accessory wheels are pretty expensive. I think basically a $3,000 option.
    Either way it would just be personal preference I think.

    The High Country is probably more comparable to the regular Denali. I like the looks of the GMC better. I do like the Chevy console/trailer brake location better. Don't know why they don't offer 12v outlets

    Great video on both trucks, but you forgot a small detail you forgot to mention that the GMC from AT4 Through Denali ultimate edition they do not come with the GM up fitter switches package. In those trim levels only GMC SLT and below.
    It’s pretty sad people would pay close to $100,000 for a truck and cant get upfitter switches. I truly wish that Chevrolet would put the side marker light on there trucks like the GMCs

    What the heck you talking about? Have you ever owned a diesel engine? Idling and fuel efficiency duramax is way better I don’t know where you get your facts from. I own a duramax and I know what I am talking about. Duramax engine is crazy amazing in fuel efficiency.

    • @abilesimo1
      @abilesimo1 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      If fully deleted then yes, you’re correct. It’s fine to idle and fuel efficiency is much better than the gas. But if emissions is in tact (DPF/EGR) then idling too much destroys these motors and fuel efficiency is much worse than the gas unless towing heavy. JR here is just stating the facts from a factory standpoint, not a deleted/modded standpoint.

    You know, it’s sad asf that these guys have to pretty much add disclaimers to these videos because all of you “know it all” types. There’s a huge difference between a stock/factory diesel and a heavily modified/deleted and tuned diesel. JR here is speaking factually from a stock /factory standpoint. So JR is absolutely correct with 99.9% of the information he’s telling you guys.
    If fully deleted then yes, these trucks are a much better and more reliable vehicle in just about every single way.
    So It’s fine to idle a lot on a fully deleted diesel and the fuel efficiency is much better than the gas counterpart. But if the factory emissions is in tact (DPF/EGR) then idling too much destroys these motors and fuel efficiency is much worse than the gas unless towing heavy. JR here is just stating the facts from a factory standpoint, not a deleted/modded standpoint.
    (I have about 10 or so years of experience as a mechanic with both heavy diesel trucks and semi trucks as well as a cross country truck driver for another about 10 years.)
