I recently discovered Peters channel, but this one really showed what's possible with pretty much any scruffy plant with vision and talent. Thanks for showing me Angelica and Peter.
Way to represent Angela! 🇺🇸 I started a bonsais at your age, but did not further my understanding and lost two trees. This time around I plan to do MUCH better.
Hey Angelica I’m also on the space coast (hence the name) lol also obsessed with bonsai. I got into it three years ago. Just posted my first bonsai related TH-cam video. Subscribe if you would like. Love meeting new people in bonsai!
How amazing is Angelica? A pilot, plays stringed instruments, does bonsai like a boss and doesn’t run scared from some guy heavy breathing behind her! And what a doll!
I watch many TH-cam videos and learn from them for when I retire at the end of 2019 I will be doing great things from my learnings. Thank you for the lesson Angelica and Peter.
Why wait until you are retired, start now. I am retired and I feel like I have less time for fun things now! Live for the day but make plans for the future.
Well done Angelica, I hope you are making lots of bonsai at home in America. Good luck with everything you do. I love this tree, I am especially fond of cascades.
I’m so inspired! Although I’ve read your books several times now. It is nothing compared to the actual channel and the visual creations. Angelica was a great guest and it was a joy to see all that she created as well.
Ha ha ha, all these comments about the guy breathing! :-) What i wanted to say is that Angelica is so accomplished - a cellist, studying to be a pilot, and also so good at bonsai. All at such a young age. You go girl!
That was a fun video and tree came out beautiful. I laughed at the "no fear and you're going to be a helicopter pilot" part. That will be her favorite tree because you 2 nice people made it together.
Yeah, import export laws on trees are pretty strict. Don't expect to buy trees abroad and take them home, even if White and Black pines are painfully cheap in Japan 😭
Thank you for filming and sharing. Beautiful cascade bonsai! The tree is quite interesting already after the initial wiring. What a robust trunk already. Inspiring indeed.
Super wow.... A master of art in bonsai Peter! Angelic beauty Angelica! An impressive camera man...with the result of super amazing bonsai....wow perfect combination...thank you! Peter for giving a wonderful learning in life with bonsai idea...
Thanks for all your vidéos!!! I am found of them and follow them everything day!! I would love to be able to come to your nursery and meet with you..!!!
Angelica, always use way extra wire, wrapping shortens the wire and when you get to the tip of the branch, often the most delicate and thin, having the extra length lets you wrap the tight radius without having to use pliars and undo stress on the tree, I learned getting tired of poking my fingers with a short just right length piece of wire. Looks like you had a great time, I'm a glider pilot, 70 hours of power and sailboater so I feel your need, too many hobbies for me too. Another nice video Peter, thanks again.
@@peterchan3100 Thank you Peter, I have watched all your videos and learned a lot, I have watch others video, learned a lot but not as enjoyable as yours. I like to share my knowledge as a beginner as you have shared yours with all of us as the Master. PS people don't like to waste wire, I same mine and will recycle some day.
Steve AnacortesWA Thanks for the advice! I usually find that if I roughly measure the branches with the wire, then cut with a couple inches extra, I get enough wire AND minimize the wasted wire. I cut more/less based on the thickness of the branches. I actually learned a cool little trick watching Peter up close: at the end of wiring a branch he’ll loop the wire back onto itself so once you move the branch the wire doesn’t come undone!
@@angelicaramirez9507 Cool tip from a Herons insider club member, I hope to get over there one day, trying to set a US tour to see the Bristlecone Pines with Peter, their ranger station doesn't answer the phone, at 10K feet I want to know the best time of year, I was a kid when I visited there. Hopefully we can setup a session with Peter somewhere in the area, would be nice to do in the presence of the Bristlecone and Limber pines. Loop the wire back, got it.
lovely video Peter. Great insight into how to get into something that looks impossible. and with thought and courage., he presto the start of another great Bonsai. Well done Peter and Angelica.
"the bonsai police" i got a tear in my eye from laughing so hard mr chan.. thank you so much for sharing with us all. (even if "the bonsai police" dont) agree all your videos are info packed, full of inspiration, and the beauty of your mastery of the art of bonsai.
Pity so many of you viewers did not like this video because of the sound of the camera operator breathing - I do apologise for that. I must say I feel very upset by those comments. But thank you to those who did LIKE this video!
Master Peter, please do not be upset. Simple minded people will never understand the treasure that you are. I am forever grateful for your wonderful videos. I hope to visit your amazing nursery one day. Greetings from California 🤗
Quit a remarkable transformation, I would have never thought of the twin spriggs going up.....so definitely learned something and probably learned more than reading 3-4 chapters in a bonsai book.
And master Heron is my hero! I'm a new juniper bonsai owner and I watched all his videos it's very educational to start out my adventures as a bonsai tree owner! Domo Heron
Those maples look amazing! I made a similar pot to that one, might have to use it for my next group. As of for the juniper, it looks amazing ! I can see it being a nice bonsai in the future. Great job!
Exactly. Art is subjective. If you dont like someones are, youre trying to admire the wrong artist for your taste. But there are standards of art. Thats why not anything can be art. Like mud pies. It takes no real skill, anyone can do it, and its not entirely beautiful. While sand castles on the otherhand, take skill and theyre beautiful. There are "principles" as peter says. And "the true enjoyment comes from doing it well." Doing it well makes you happy, doing it well makes it beautiful, and if doing it well makes it beautiful and you, happy, then its art.
Thank you Peter. I love the video. Taking this class from you was an honor and a dream come true. As always, I look forward to your next videos!
We really enjoyed having you hear.

Sounds like he's too heavy, and has a serious respiratory problem!
I think he’s to close to the mic
