    You always have such great ideas. One of life's greatest pleasures is to do a hike & cook. I appreciate you always sharing your ideas. It's really helpful. There really is no limit on what you can cook on a day hike. Thanks for sharing!

    Have you heard of the fry bake? I've just learned about it and it seems pretty nice. It's essentially a light weight aluminium dutch oven.

    Hey Chef, you make amazing things with the Jetboil. Have you ever considered the Trangia 27? Just wondering what you think. I’m a Moto camper and can carry a little extra but don’t want to go crazy.

      Yep. Check out a couple other videos I have cooking with it. The burner is great. It has a lot of pieces that could be annoying for some trips

    Is there any reason we could use whole or 2% dehydrated milk powder? For that extra richness?

    • @ChefCorso
      @ChefCorso  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, fat goes rancid pretty quick. For shelf stability they make most with the fat taken out. You can def use 2% or other if you like or add a little bit of oil or coconut oil

    Where do you get your sauce bottles? I bought some from Coleman and they aren't really practical.

      there are some solid options out there from Naglene but I you don't have to purchase anything crazy. I re-use drink shot containers like 5 hour energy or juice/soda bottles with a threaded cap. A great sneaky one is 4 oz kids apple juice wide mouth bottles. cheers!

    Will any kind of beef jerky rehydrate like that?

    • @ChefCorso
      @ChefCorso  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pretty much. Thicker cuts will take a bit longer to get soft

    Do they make dried beef that isn't beef jerky?

    • @ChefCorso
      @ChefCorso  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      technically yes. It can be called chipped beef or carne seca is available in Southern states. But it's even drier and saltier than most jerky products.
