The fight between morgott and mohg was quite tragic, It’s very sad to see him have to face his own brother. mohg didn’t even have the willpower to say his famous line “it’s mohging time”.

For the godfrey fight his wee line of "foul tarnished, in search of the elden ring" is completely approprite
It also makes that line "It's been a long while, Morgott" in the fight vs. Godfrey take on an entirely new level of heartbreak.
I think of Morgott as a chess grandmaster. He is really wise and used to think further than others, and to play like him, you need to do the same thing. He's kinda weak because of his healthbar, but if you can do THE COMBOS it's pretty goood character. Thank you!
Appropriately enough, I've seen videos analyzing how each Elden Ring character would play chess and Morgott was basically described as the most strategic and likely a Grandmaster with a crazy high elo... who bullied newbies under an assumed identity.

Honestly, it's beautiful how fitting most of the fights are, like how you're actually protecting the throne against WILFUL TRAITORS and having difficulty against Daddy Godfrey.
My boy! As I grew to understand Morgott's moves he honestly became my favorite boss. His moveset has so much versatility.
Also that exchange at 13:34 was so sick!

With his focus on versatility and his need to dodge around, Morgott almost feels like a demi-god version of the player character. Morgott even basically rose from nothing, having been banished to the sewers as an infant, and became prominent in a world that hardly even heard of him, akin to the Tarnished of no renown. It's cool to see that you can live up to his earned reputation here, even if Morgott probably wouldn't proc Phase 2 at will. By the way, how many times were you able to proc bleed damage without the Bloodflame attack? Morgott's sword does build up a bit of bleed in the boss fight, but it feels so low that I don't think I've even seen one case of it activating ever.

Now when I come to think of it, Is Morgott a foil to the player character, similar to the way Genichiro is to Sekiro.
It's so cathartic to see Morgott getting his revenge. He was such a tragic and loyal character. I had nothing but respect for him once I learned what his backstory is and all he had done. Rest in peace Morgott. You may not have had the strength befitting an Elden Lord, but you were a noble king, an accomplished warrior and a worthy son of the Golden Lineage.

I really wish there were actual spells for Morgotts summoned holy weapons, basically as an incantation counterpart to sorceries like Carian Slicer or Lorettas Greatbow.

Agreed. Gavel of Haima is already a thing so Margit's holy magic hammer could easily be an incantation. The daggers and spear would be great, and I could see the sword being a combo ash of war like how he uses it in his fights.

@@smilingman4299 optional enemies you could go a whole playthrough not knowing they exist. Try giving a smart argument next time. One that takes into account the 40-80% holy damage negation of every main game boss.

Honestly, it’ll never happen but one of my dreams is for fromsoftware to make some kinda smash/mortal combat/street fighter game.

Loved this. Anytime Morgott is justified as a good heir to this ring business, I love it.
Playing as morgott seems like it would be so fun, he’s really fast, has a ton of variety in his moveset, and isn’t too op or too weak

13:31 The way Morgott and Malenia move complement each other so perfectly, almost like a dance. I’ve seen it in AI battles before but it looks even cooler from one of their perspectives.

It's really sad what happened to Radahn lol. When the game launched it was the boss that made everyone go "holy shit". Now he's pretty much just a footnote.
Now you have to complete the disgraced duo, the sewer siblings, toilet twins, you must prepare for Mohgin time.
It looked like alot of work, but you managed to beat these traitors and put their foolish ambitions to rest. Nice one.
Morgott is one of the coolest bosses ever, and his theme is FIRE. Also, when will you beat Elden Ring as Elemer of the Briar (cailid edition)?
This boss run was an especially fantastic watch because of how varied and flashy Morgott's moveset is.
That was amazing ive watched this boss playthroughs before but this was the best with morgots moveset, plus i never noticed morgots hammer is a golden hammer crusher and that great value godfrey is summoned by morgot. great video
Love the video. Morgott is a menace when a player has access to his moveset.
i hope they add a PvE patch at some point to address the issues with the mid-game scaling. Morgott, Fortissax, and other bosses in this general area of the game seem too weak if the player does even a little side-content. They're still a bit challenging, but I'd expect the 3rd strongest (known) Ancient Dragon and also the most threatening Demigod in the first half of the game to both be a fair bit stronger than what they are currently.
Morgott needs more Stance value, more physical defense, and maybe a bit more HP. He has slightly more than 10k HP where-as Radahn has over 9k... There's half a region and legacy dungeon between them, so I'd expect Morgott to be given more.
I am genuinely surprised that he didn't have an additional phase at the very start of the fight. He used illusions to try and stop us throughout the game (2 Margits and an illusion of Godfrey), so imagine if, before revealing his identity and sword, he sits on the throne, puts up a barrier in front of the throne, and begins summoning avatars of the Demigods who were part of the Sovereign Alliance as they were during the wake of the Shattering... a weak Godrick, Ranni in her physical form, Rykard in his original state, Radahn before he got to his largest size, and so on... It'd be some cool lore details. Maybe he only summons based on the shard-bearers defeated up until that point in order to keep it fair for players who are trying to follow the main path (Godrick if you defeat him. Ranni if you defeat Rennala. etc). Then after you defeat them, the real fight starts. OBVIOUSLY STUFF LIKE THIS WILL NEVER BE ADDED IN A PATCH, BUT HEY, MAYBE THEY'LL REALIZE THEY MADE HIM JUST A LITTLE WEAK AND GIVE HIM THE BUFFS I MENTIONED EARLIER...
Fortissax needs more physical defense and HP, but honestly could use faster attack animations for his glaive and 2-spear attacks since they are way too telegraphed.

It’s really cool that you can see Amazing Chest’s improvement over time while using Morgott, finding which moves can combo and using Morgott’s moves as an advantage to dodge attacks, just love it ❤

He's only big in game to look more epic like literally every fromsoft boss. He was arguably more powerful than when we fight him cause he wasn't being eaten by scarlett rot back then. So you're wrong.
@@BastosFC2 Then why in the games lore why we never see Morgot and Radhan fight in the shattering? Because that did not happen that happened before it so Radhan was just a child like once Morgot was. Also he is refered to as the strongest demi god. Idk what you are talking about after that part though.

morgott is such an underrated character lore wise he is very strong but in game he is as durable as a stick which is quite sad but still it puts off a great challenge with his long and fast combos

not only he is versatile but his hammer dodge feels like bloodhound step and the jump is a cheery on top for his mobility and avoiding unnecessary hits . unlike half of the bosses .
Morgott's amazing moveset makes every fight against him a spectacle. Its a shame he doesn't get similiar scaling to the mountaintop bosses despite guarding the area. I was underleveled for his fight so it made it pretty challenging to beat and one of the hardest bosses for me during my playthrough.
Mohg isn’t a traitor, nor is he required. There was no reason to kill him

if you're taking suggestions for the next one, and you want harder challenges, what about a Crucible Knight (either works, start as the sword and shield one and switch to tree for certain fights if you wish) or one of the two Commanders (O'neil or Niall) or perhaps Fortisax

I like how Godskin Noble was the more challenging of the duo because in a normal playthrough I see most people find him easier than the Apostle. Playing as bosses really changes the whole fundamentals of these fights and it's super fun to watch.
