Finally a real world example! Usually this bad quality of the green screen. shutter problems, ect..ect. Thank you for very detailed solution. Excellent!
Amazing tutorial. i said to my client: "We have a hair problem with chorma key. I will need 3 hours more to fix this, so ll cost more." - he said: "forget it"
there is so still many things needed to adjust even though it's on the chromakey background. WOW.. It's fully helpful for me to understand the process of keying. Not easy easy. I will buy plugin.
@@ActionVFXofficialhi guys am from India. Am a VFX Artist and director. thank you for responding., your videos and website are really inspiring. I downloaded your free assets. Even if ur assets are affordable still "I" I can't afford it because of my bad circumstances. Bt u guys gave free stuffs that's really cool.. Guys like me feels like gift.. Keep going successfully
If you are referring to adding a green screen footage to a moving 3D background, the most easiest way to do it is to import the 3D camera data to After Effects, or you can use the After Effects camera tracker. And then you want to turn the green screen layer as a 3D layer and position it in 3D space! -Danasa
Just out of curiosity, what framerate was the original footage in? I would have shot it higher and then rendered down to 24 after all was done. Seems like its already at 24 or 29 bcause of the crazy motion blur
Thank you! We do normally make the plate available to follow along, but we were provided the plate strictly for use in this tutorial and didn't have permission to share. Sorry for the confusion!
Hello! It's called the Composition Profiler and you can access it by right clicking on the Timeline column and choose "Render Time" We have made a tutorial covering it here: th-cam.com/video/v4ObCqwolQA/w-d-xo.html
Great video, love the breakdown! Btw, do you have any tips on removing a 'non greenscreen background (as my space/greenscreen sometimes runs out with long objects/bigger scenes). I am assuming you can only manually key it?, or are there some better ways (especially for tricky parts as hair)
Hello! The masks are to isolate the key layers. So I can create multiple keylights with each layers focusing on different parts of the shot I explained it on my 5 Keying Tips tutorial here: th-cam.com/video/EFObhiIwYLg/w-d-xo.html Let us know if you have more questions!

can you please make a separate video on black hair keying? Im struggling
Nice one. How one would approach such a thing when there is a person walking into a parallax situation?

Do you need to color grade your footage first ?
Fantastic explanation. Do you have the AE template of this??

@@ActionVFXofficial Cool bro. No probs.
What is this "render time" column in composition and what does it mean? how to enable this? It shows ms, that's some great idea i suppose ;)
Hello! It's called the Composition Profiler and you can access it by right clicking on the Timeline column and choose "Render Time"

I have always thought that there’s some magic to keying but it’s actually brut force and hard labor
Nailed it!
I wasn't clear on how to initiate the drawing of the rough Mask :(
Cool thanks
Thanks for joining us!

Is there anyway to bring the shadows on the ground back?
Yes! We have a tutorial dedicated on preserving green screen shadow here:

tengkyu om.. sangat membantu sekali 🤟
HOW Does he Apply the 'rough mask'??????
Is this more efficient than rotoscoping?
Depends! There is no right way to do things in VFX, but for this specific shot we would say it is much more effective to key than rotoscoping.
Thank you!
You are welcome!
Still very new to all this, can you give a very brief explanation as to why you draw so many masks around the subject at each point?
Hello! The masks are to isolate the key layers. So I can create multiple keylights with each layers focusing on different parts of the shot
I explained it on my 5 Keying Tips tutorial here:

great! now i also use topaz enhance AI to denoise and remove compression artifacts and get 10bit from 8bit
Great video but my brain got overheated with information :))
спасибо большое!
Why you put in to precoms ?
Precomps keep your layers neat and can allow cleaner results for effects.
Wow wow wow
This is lit technique.
Thank you for watching!
thanx!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If there are anyone that make the ibk keyer plugin for After Effects ........ 🙃
