You seem like a really cool person. Nice job on the song and thanks for the demo. I am going to order one of them myself. I think the cherry burst one.
Nice review! I have the cherry burst variant, but nonetheless, the same idea. GREAT guitar for the money!! My dad has the Gibson Hummingbird, and Gibson western classic custom, (J200) both are amazing. I’ve been lucky to be able to play them, they are super nice. When I compared the Epiphone, to the Gibson Hummingbird, the differences are mainly in fit in finish, but the differences are subtle! The Epiphone is much nicer than you think. Trust me. The sound is very similar between the two, almost at a point where it’s hard to tell the difference, but the Epiphone has more low end, which I love! If you want it to sound more balanced like the Gibson, then put the “Gibson Masterbuilt, premium 12 gauge Strings” on there, they are $20, but close the gap immensely. You’re not really missing out on anything. It’s crazy. 10/10.

I'd really love the Gibson Hummingbird, but I just can't afford one. But the Guitar Center here in my town finally got just 1 of these Gibson Inspired Hummingbirds and I bought it. Now I've played the Gibson, and the one I played had been professionally set up, great action like I love, super low, and I think the dude says he uses DiAddaro acoustical strings, and it sounded heavenly, and probably just a hair cleaner and brighter than this Hummingbird Inspired by Gibson. So close that most people who hear the guitars would have a tough time telling them apart, and I've seen some blindfolded tests where even seasoned musicians picked the Epiphone over the Gibson. So, there it is. I bought the aged Cherrywood, that dark red wine color. So I just bought this guitar last week, I need to put some new strings on her, and bring the action and the strings down closer to the fretboard like I prefer all my guitars have.
Such a beautiful guitar. My guitar is a black Epiphone Starling but I'm looking to possibly pick either a Hummingbird or Dove. They're both such beautiful guitars to look at and they sound amazing to play as well. I've seen a couple of your other videos and it looks like you've got quite the growing guitar collection.

It does need some new strings, I'm not sure what's on here, maybe 11's, but they are dull and dead. I'm not sure how or what the proper way to do that is, imreally don't wanna shell out a 100 bucks or something, for something that takes 5min to do. But, great guitar And shout out to Guitar Center, gave me a great cash price out the door for $736.00 bucks, great price that I've seen anywhere. They both are great and totally awesome guitars and you can’t go wrong with either. I haven’t played the Hummingbird live but that will change soon and will give me a better understanding of what they both can do. The Hummingbird because of its shape is slightly louder after that I think it boils down to feel, and which one you like better. But can’t go wrong with either. Check out this Facebook group and you might find more answers facebook.com/groups/406075014205123/
I have both. I prefer the Hummingbird it's my favorite and I like the sound it produces. Now J-45 holds its own. You have to go out and play both. They are both awesome guitar's. I wanted both and now saving up to the j200.

@@rabbisandra It's no "big name" - they were factory made.. a "cheapy" if you will. But I have to say I love it. It's sound is close to this Epiphone in fact. And I only paid £20 for it... it was a 'take it or leave it" situation... he was desperate... he took it :) :) and I've had it ever since, must be over 20 years now. This Epi was bought to "replace" the Jedson... because he's a little long in the tooth now and I don't want to damage him any further with wear and tear.... so I now have The Terrible Twins... Problem with buying a new Gibson Acoustic is that they take longer to open up. I haven't recieved my Epi J200 yet, probably will arrive Tuesday or Wednesday, but from what I read on TH-cam reviews of these new Epi's the sound improves within a couple days of playing, don't know if that's true. I sure hope they bring our an Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Dove, that would make it complete
All of mine sound better every day. I've been playing the Hummingbird for a few weeks and I am blown away by the sound. The J200 sounds better than when I got it but has been slower to open up.
They are both great and play great. I think the Hummingbird is louder. I have not had the opportunity to play the hummingbird at a live gig yet and when I do I'll know more about how they compare. Right now I prefer the Hummingbird but that could easily be because it's new. I will try and do a comparison video in the coming weeks. Oh, a friend told me that he thought the Hummingbird was easier to play than the Epi IBG J45.
