the start of a new series begins today fellas with the kirby copy ability challenge! i will be using the copy ability of every character and try to kill with it; or at least attempt to...
so far we did sora- thundaga wasn't bad at all, pretty straight forward
Mario we got kinda lucky in, the snipe was great though so we'll take it
Then falco who was pretty fun to snipe with given kirby has so many jumps lol
Falco into captain falcon- it's always hype to land the falcon punch so that was a good time (even if it did take me three tries)
Steve minecraft was next, the blocks took a while but i finally got it to block (no pun intended) off his recovery
K rool was after that, the blunderbuss from kirby being too powerful
ganon punch was right after, free af but we take those B)
dark pit's dark arrow made life easy
Bayonetta with her bullet arts was simple enough too
Little mac strong af neutral b was also pretty straight forward with some reads (would've been easier with ko punch tho smh)
byleth has a strong af arrow/projectile with her neutral b so that was pretty straight forward
then another fire emblem with robin, pretty straight forward with thoron (tho wtf elthunder)
and finally bowser jr! who with the canonball showdown made it pretty easy to get
and that's it for this "row", lets see how long this challenge will last us!

Why would you change the rules now? Mayb for Fox, you can turn on items and blow up a bomb with his laser.
You could put battles of 4 people in preferred rules. That's going to make this challenge faster

The hard part about this challenge is *finding* some of these characters online. Like good luck finding a corrin or a mega man to play, they're out there but they're so much less common that it could just take forever
getting a KO with metal blade sounds hard too

Maybe inhale and spit them out into the blast zone during sudden death? When they're at 300%, it'd be super easy to hold them until the blast zone was close enough

For Fox and a lot of weak ones in general you could also play on stamina mode, I feel like everyone forgot stamina was a thing lol
Hi TCNick, just letting you know, the expected number of matches it will take for you to see every different character is about 400, if all characters were equally represented, whch they're not, and that's if you kill with 100% consistency.
So... could take a while!

Loophole suggestion: make it so those that dont kill do all the damage to the opponent before the kill. For example, 120% with only fox laser then up smash

For Kirby you can copy his amity if he has a copy ability, so you can hope to get 2v2 or free for all. Also you could count it if you spit out the Kirby leading to death or sallow the Kirby which can kill your opponent in a cheesy of stage situation or stamina mode.
this reminds me of why i love ultimate so much, the singleplayer was basically "every character starts as locked except my main"

Tip: if you need a stock with a rare online character like olimar, you could play a co-op team battle and 'suck' your partner ability and take a stock with that
youre gonna see a LOT of falcons, this was only the beggining. This is so potentially hard no only for the kills, but also because of how unusual it is to witness Idk some olimar lol.
Once youre done with this it will feel easy to kill with the other kirby moves left, one more to the series :P

Definitely go into stamina mode for some of them. Kirby is actually not too hard to kill with neutral B - just snipe his recovery with an inhale and kirbycide with him by drifting away. It's going to be a lot easier than DDD at least! (Although for him I'd say that Inhale/Spit a gordo counts, which might be your best bet)
Also for Jigglypuff, it's niche but there is a shieldbreak setup with rollout. Look for a video called something like "a trick with every Kirby copy ability" to get the positioning.
Also also, look up ways to break shields with Kirby. A slightly charged (~1 sec) aerial hammer will break a full shield if you get both hits (e.g. if you're jumping up onto a platform, or fighting a tall character), or FH aerial -> tilt -> Fsmash can work if you make an opponent nervous enough to hold shield for that long. Can make it easier to hit stuff like Ness/Lucas. Also, when you get to Zelda, I think it counts if you use her neutral B to reflect the phantom. That's literally the only way I've ever killed with that move. If you can gimp her with it then you're a God!

For specials that don't kill, you should get the opponent to a specific percent, like 350% or something.
As for Kirby's, that's more or less a free space on the bingo card. You win if you can get them friendly.
For kirby, not really. His native neutral be CAN kill, so he should just use that.

For Inkling, the ink increases how much damage you deal to the opponent, so you could cover the inkling with ink and kill them with a regular attack and it could count because you dealt more damage with ink(???)

Idk if you've considered this, but the more characters you've already done in this, the less likely you are to run into a new character to get closer to completing this. Plus, you're more likely to run into the most common characters early on, meaning that by the end, you might have to play a hundred games just to find a single remaining character, let alone complete the challenge for it.

Fox you could just throw them off stage and tap em with a single laser before they die so it's technically the last thing that hit them. Kirby you can spit them out at the bottom blast zone when they are at high percent's. Pichu/Pikachu you can T. Jolt them when they are really far off stage

for some of these you can do them in ffa's (for pikachu/pichus for example)
