They sell a plastic igloo type covered cat litter box, and with the bottom removed it would be perfect for the Quails egg laying.

So many wonderful things happening on Cog Hill Farm. Love the quail. I have been feeding quail where I live for 23 yrs. and have increased the population from 2 or 3 covey's which have approx. 10 quail in each to maybe 100 quail now. They are all over the place. I just love watching them. They are the sweetest little birds. New birds on the farm, can't wait to watch them out and about in the garden.
I love the quails... They're so cute.... I said they are housekeepers 😁🤣😁 and your new lil chicks are so sweet too. I know you can't wait to have them begin laying.

Good morning Ms.Brooke. so happy you were able to some floor cleaners. They are the best. We did the same. I learned that the can hatch many little quills throughout the laying season. Before long I had so many that I was able give to other farmers. Jason may like pickle eggs they are very good. Always look forward to your videos. Wishing all a beautiful weekend. YES!! Pickled quail eggs are tasty. A lot like deviled eggs. You can also add herbs, other than dill, like basil, sage, etc.😋😋😋

Awe, they are cute. Y'all could get a guinea pig hut for them but I'd fix it up off the ground in case you get a lot of rain. Plus you could put a puppy bed heater under it to keep them warm on cold days and nights.

I had wondered what had happened to the Bob White that was in the aviary. Thank you for letting us know. My ex used to raise quail when i was still with him, one of the few things that i liked about him. Anyway those new residence of the aviary are beautiful.

To have a animal that long and not say What happen even to the point of No Longer here He was a Old Quail and So cute knew he had to have died :( RIP Little Peep Squeak Don't even want to think about Jason when Peaches goes Like My Husband and his dog Buddy :(

My family raised quail, chickens and a few other animals! There were small fruit orchards, fields of veggies, grape vines (homemade wine) and of course the delicious fresh eggs on the little farm. Miss those days with the family. ❤. Thank you for sharing and bringing back good memories!

I remember you talking about wanting the dark chocolate colored eggs. I'm so happy that you will now have them. The quails are so small and blend in to the point you have a difficult time seeing them. I sure hope they don't get stepped on. The blue eggs are very pretty. I have only seen speckled eggs from quail. Have a great day.
Have you ever thought of "Blowing Out" the colored egg shells and selling those as decorative items? We used to do that a lot. We used the actual egg for scrambled eggs or anything that requires a beaten egg. You can fill a basket with the whole egg shells and its a very nice accent piece for any kitchen! You just use a large needle to poke holes in either end of the fresh egg, making sure to break the egg yolk sack and use your own breath to blow out the egg into a bowl. You keep the shell whole. Some folk make pasky eggs with them too.
