It is hard to find a conversion video where time is spent on the actual vehicle before showing the build out. I am now convinced that the Toyota Sienna is the vehicle to choose to camp in ! Great video !!
I bought a 2006 AWD Sienna LE,116,000 miles, new timing belt and all 100,000 maintenance performed already...2750.oo! Love it! Took it on a 1600 mile trip using a no build build,6" foam mattress..it is a wonderful vehicle so far,you will not be disappointed..my daughter has an 05 Sienna fwd only that she has put 110,ooo miles on with only having to replace the ac compressor and standard maintenance.
Very Nice job. I do think the build that EricEnjoysEarth did on his Sienna is a little more effective use of space. What I especially like about your build compared to his is you end up being able to still enjoy the view from the Sienna’s panoramic side windows. Kind of like Little Camper’s Toyota Hiace layout does. And that you didn’t just gut the vehicle (bravo!) but kept it revertable to stock.👍
Thanks. Most are set up for solo travel. Just got a 2006 XLE AWD for $2700, super clean. Of course it needs a new windshield and the transfer case is blown, but we’ll get up up and running for about another $2000.
Awesome! I would love a lighter weight version of this build ❤❤❤ I'm also a Suburban lover! I had the coolest '91 GMC Suburban. She was lifted, had 33 or 34 inch off road tires ... she was awesome! I called her Baby. 😊
One of the best designed and utilizations of space I've seen yet. The best designs are where you can use every function of the van without having to go outside.
One of the nicer builds out there for 2nd gen Siennas. I have a 3rd gen that I'm still tweaking in my mind about how I want to make it modular for solo or couples use, but allowing me/us to enjoy fresh air and a view while in bed with the liftgate up. Nice job.
Nice design & excellent craftsmanship. Thank you for the Sienna camper ideas. I have a new one on order and I'm collecting designs from multiple sources to hopefully land on a good plan for my van. FYI - most all these 12vdc/110vac freezer/fridges will condense significant amount of moisture on bottom of exterior next to compressor location, as they are not really super insulated. Over time this causes mold/mildew and possible damage to anything beneath compressor end of fridge. A simple solution is to leave a >1" air gap beneath fridge (supported on 2" square corner blocks) for adequate air circulation and moisture removal. Also any fridge enclosure needs to be a bit open for air movement via convection.
I have a Toyota Sienna, and use it sometimes to camp. I removed the mid seats and added a leveling floor (TS are very uneven) that allows me to store some things under. I would like to set up the back side one of these days for longer trips. I like this set up, but I would not do anything in the middle just a comfortable twin mattress on the floor. A couple of totes or plastic containers are enough for me to store my much needed belongings and clothing. I have a one battery solar system in a battery box with 1k inverter that is simple and efficient, foldable 200W panel. I added some self fused connectors accessories to charge stuff like a fan, the small fridge, and my 12 v cooker and kettle. I do not like to feels crumped in a small space. I will take some ideas from this set up for the back of the Sienna only. Overall this is very nice build for most, I just need my room to move without too much wood.
Really nice build and I can see you put a lot of thought into it. I especially liked the cutouts to access the back shelf and the cupholders, and the thoughtful integration of the stock Toyota amenities such as lights and storage.
Great build. FYI you can get a complete set of black out window coverings for the Sienna including the windshield. Many conversion vans get bad MPG so the Sienna is a great choice.
Really nice build! I think this would work in my 2006 Chrysler Grand Caravan that I just bought. I hope to go full time in the spring! The wood work on this build is so clean and beautiful. I really like it. It's one of the best I have seen and I've been binge watching videos now for a couple 3 months!
One note about the new Sienna: The new Sienna has airbags running the length of both sides coming down from the ceiling. So that means no shelves going up past the windows approximately. So all storage should be below the bed. The great thing about the new Sienna is that they are hybrid, which means 36 mpg and you can run the AC while you’re sleeping. The AC runs off of the hybrid battery. The engine kicks on about every fifteen minutes for about a minute to recharge the hybrid battery. The AC is like a house AC, it runs off of electricity, not the engine belt.
Love how you use ur common sense because a lot of builders do way to much for shit that’s going to break. How much for something like this piece of art
Very nice build, but for someone like me , I would need more storage. I would forgo some of the sink area & I guess I’d put a plastic tub/ container on top of the fridge & just move it when needed.
Very impressive Toyota sienna van 🚐 build! I seriously want, my set up, just like that!😍 love all the details and your work is so meticulous! 10/10! 😍🫶🏼🚐Aloha🐶🤙🏽🍍🌺
Guy I love your designs ..but you show should the mattress area with two matches cushions /one/up against the window so it looks like a couch👍 I think I'm a selling point that would do really well for your showing.. everything else is go! Beautiful ❤️ and super great job!❤️❤️❤️ Love this van on for sure
That 2005 LE does look in great shape -- but the LE is the middle-trim model, I have a 2006 CE -- that's the base model, no power sliding doors and some of the other features that you see here -- but same interior space. I'm building mine out now for solo camping -- unfortunately it already has 206,000 miles on it -- need to keep it running!
Good job. I’d love to do a “weekender” version for my Odyssey. I’d only want it for camping and I cook outside so no need for the mini kitchen. Just storage and beds.
Wow this is the best build I've ever seen on a older Toyota Sienna van very practical very basic very functional do you do this for a living it's so I'm interested in getting a van like this and having you building it out for me???
Love this design, can i buy one? I have an '08 TS van. Been driving it for 13 years and now at 185k miles. I love it. Reliable, comfy, easy driver. 27mpg is optimistic.. maybe I got that once on the freeway with a tail wind. Overall, a fantastic vehicle for my lifestyle. 👍👍
Yeah I would want either the Chrysler Pacifica or Dodge van or that Dodge suv/van hybrid with the seats that fold into the floor for a flat space and can also hold some stuff while folded down. I don't want to have to worry about removing or reinstalling seats or where to store them. The build is fantastic though I love it.
could this be ordered in the flip design. I’m trying to buy a Sienna today. I prefer to enter from the driver seat into the side door behind it. I need a partial build. I have Ecoflow generators.
i love this build! unfortunately i have a 2020 and the trolleys for the second row do not come out easily. The option to revert back to a passenger van is difficult.
You probably already sold the van, nice build by the way, I think if you wanted to take it next level some aggressive all terrain tires with some blacked out steelies and a not so crazy lift would’ve been kinda cool-otherwise that was a super bad ass build simple, functional and modular in case you wanted to put the back seats in for passengers-pretty well thought out 👍
I have one question, would sunroof/moonroof would be plus for camper conversion, reason i ask is that I am looking to buy sienna, and eventually turn it into camper, but in generally don't like moon/sunroofs
What is the cost of the one person build for full time living in the minivan. I need to know this because I would be permanently living in the van full-time for at least 2 to 3 years unfortunately??????!!!!
Thanks for taking the time in detailing how you converted your Sienna into a campervan. I'm planning on getting a hybrid sienna in 2024 to do a similar setup. Is your Sienna equipped with a 2" hitch? What are your thoughts around lugging around a fatbike and/or a folding kayak?
So if someone send you the same year and van type, are you able to ship the wood (already cut out)build to someone to put it together for there self 🤔🤔🤔 of the customer would pay for the shipping cost too!😉 Or maybe start selling the temples to the build might work too!! Mmmm🤔 the only thing missing is the put out kitchen counter tops.. otherwise perfect!😉
Interesting build, just an idea, when u r videotaping u mite want to scan much slower. For those of us with vertigo, we find it very difficult to watch.

@barbkugler7568 on my 3rd toyota sienna. Haven't done any builds, but it's a great RV with so many features! Out performs all other mini-vans
Best Sienna Build I've seen so far. Great job!
AGREE 💯

Wow I don’t think it gets any better. Great design, is perfect. I’m building a MCI bus and all this videos keeps me inspired, thank you for sharing 👍🏼
This is the best build for a sienna i've ever seen!
Absolutely amazing 😊
Really nice build and I can see you put a lot of thought into it. I especially liked the cutouts to access the back shelf and the cupholders, and the thoughtful integration of the stock Toyota amenities such as lights and storage.
I loved the simple but very effective interior!! Great job!
You done a wonderful job of explaining every little detail of the vehicle and I really loved the build, well done 👏🏽
I'm really impressed for your work and the level of details you put in the setup. Simply awesome
Excellent
Great build. FYI you can get a complete set of black out window coverings for the Sienna including the windshield. Many conversion vans get bad MPG so the Sienna is a great choice.
Thanks for the tip
I like simple and practical builds. Job well done sir.
Wow, best I’ve seen yet! 🤘🏻
Great job! You’re an Engineer and creative too.
Like the configuration, kitchen access from inside and outdoors. Great job!
Great build! Love it!

Very cool - especially love the bed design and the kitchen. But am I the only one who got dizzy watching this?
*This is brilliant!* ❤
I love the design. Thanks
you do great work! i enjoy your van tours lots of good ideas!
Brilliant, great work!

The mpg is why I would like this model but it’s so expensive!
It's a nice build! good stuff!
You could offer your clients window delfectors for the van windows so that they can still be opened a little even in the rain.
Love how you use ur common sense because a lot of builders do way to much for shit that’s going to break.
How much for something like this piece of art
Thank you! Depending on the package level, around 5k
@@Horizoncamperbuilds no shit…… so all I have to do is drop off my van and you can pimp it out for 5K ?? 🤔
Very nice build, but for someone like me , I would need more storage. I would forgo some of the sink area & I guess I’d put a plastic tub/ container on top of the fridge & just move it when needed.

What do you charge to build this? We have a similar Sienna 2005 model. Can you make us a kit for us to install?
Hi I’m interested too (I have a sienna 2008). Did you get an answer?
Good job. I’d love to do a “weekender” version for my Odyssey. I’d only want it for camping and I cook outside so no need for the mini kitchen. Just storage and beds.
What was the price on the vehicle. plus build out? thanks and great job.
What's the cost of this level 3 build?
based on extensive research, the cost is materials + profit. hope that helps.
What do you attach the curtain rod to? I have similar Toyota Sienna and because of slant of walls finding this a problem.
Wow this is the best build I've ever seen on a older Toyota Sienna van very practical very basic very functional do you do this for a living it's so I'm interested in getting a van like this and having you building it out for me???
Thank you! Yes, I can build this setup on most minivans.
@@Horizoncamperbuildshow much do you charge to do this ?
Your skills and ideas about this conversion van are excellent!!! I love your project. Can I ask for the cost if you do it for me, please? Thank you.

That was a really detailed review! thank you
Thanks!
Thank you for your support!
Great build.!! 💖💖
Would love to know where to get the bed cushions. Beautiful build. Good success to you!
amazing work!
Nice folding mattresses! Can you please share the link? Thanks 🙏
This is very clean and uncluttered. Any suggestion for where to put a toilet?
Must be some way to accommodate the moisture provided from your fridge. Obviously more insulation would help
It's actually incredible how similar the sienna is to the Sedona (except for the sienna is more reliable)
could this be ordered in the flip design. I’m trying to buy a Sienna today. I prefer to enter from the driver seat into the side door behind it.
I need a partial build. I have Ecoflow generators.
Yes, that can be done.
i love this build! unfortunately i have a 2020 and the trolleys for the second row do not come out easily. The option to revert back to a passenger van is difficult.
EricEnjoysEarth converted his Sienna with the trolleys using a clever “no drill” technique that adds waterproof vinyl flooring in that area.
You probably already sold the van, nice build by the way, I think if you wanted to take it next level some aggressive all terrain tires with some blacked out steelies and a not so crazy lift would’ve been kinda cool-otherwise that was a super bad ass build simple, functional and modular in case you wanted to put the back seats in for passengers-pretty well thought out 👍
Extraordinario. El mejor hasta ahora. Tengo un kia Carnival en Paraguay y me gustaria camperizar asi. Las mediciones de la cama xf!
I get dizzy, nice idea though. Can you please do another van tour with minimal movements ?
you build those attachments for minivans
Have you ever put a exhaust fan in for summer temps ?
What happens if you are rear ended? Wouldn’t the weight of the wooden bed impact the driver seat ?
Wuility build. One question where’s the storage for clothes food etc ?
Maravilloso
So nice!!
Can a fat couple sleep in it? Asking for a friend.
😂
Amazing design and thought out build. Are you doing these builds for other Sienna owners?
That is correct
Good day boss how much for that build but i prefer a small bathroom at the back boss
How much weight does it add to the vehicle?
So what is the hit on my walet to yave you do my van. Im in the bay area and have a 2008. Let me know. Thanks.
VERY NICE
The problem with siennas newer than 2003 is the foldaway seats which reduces space
Good job
The visable bubble insulation would give it away I reckon
If you put some heavier tint on the windows and paint the outward facing side of the reflectix black you can’t see it.
Piercy toyota si maybe i can visit your shop boss is it in bay area milpitas fremont area?
I have one question, would sunroof/moonroof would be plus for camper conversion, reason i ask is that I am looking to buy sienna, and eventually turn it into camper, but in generally don't like moon/sunroofs
Man O Man great design!
Super cool
what brand of mattress you used? thanks
Can you cook inside?
Yes, it is possible.
How much does it cost to convert a van into a camper van, particularly for this one, may I ask? Thank you!
The driver door pops which means the weld inside the door is broken. Very common on these and not an easy fix. FYI
FYI the actual Camper Build tour doesn’t start until * 8:18 *
“Let’s get right into it.” 🤷🏼♂️
What is the cost of the one person build for full time living in the minivan. I need to know this because I would be permanently living in the van full-time for at least 2 to 3 years unfortunately??????!!!!
The best would be taking out all the 300 pounds of plastic panels and really gain about 10 more inches of width and weight savings.
The idea is to keep the interior intact and build around it so that you could still use the van as a passenger vehicle.
No seat rail mess like in the third generation Sienna.
Yes yes u r a genuis ❤❤❤❤ hiw much it s coast wuth out the vehucule price !!!!
