I love how every time in this story Lidelle beats the opponent but she's still super shy. If anything, constant wins should be the reason to making her self-esteem rise.

The only two games that happened between this one and Puyo Puyo Tetris are the 15th and 20th anniversary games. 15th being a tournament means only one person could have won, and even though *every* encounter couldn't have taken place in 20th there is more than enough development and story (Ecolo had a major role in 20th) to say most of it is relevant to Madou!Puyo lore.

I really do like the Lidelle X Rulue scene. I like how they actually became friends and earned each other's respect, Rulue admired Lidelle's tenacity when they fought. Raffine's scene with Rulue seems a little forced; they just "automatically" like each other because they have the same trope in common. As opposed to Ringo(Puyo 7), Oshare Bones(15th), Ms. Accord(15th), and Seriri(Rulue's spring break of fists).
Raffine and Rider had a bunch of good interactions in 15th. Raffine considered her as a worthy opponent and praised her for having the guts to joining the tournament.
