“Politics is just like Wrestling. Enemies in front of the people. Friends behind closed doors.” - Jesse Ventura
Jim Cornette thinks politics is “real” tho
I love Jim Cornette, but he should come to realize something about politics....... that 80-90 percent of these politicians don't give a fuck about the people. They truly don't. They are only concerned for themselves and for their bottom lines......which means lining their pockets with our gold.
@@NewNormalWorldOrdereveryone's a mark for something.
@@northernbloke6787
Lol it’s even worse now. I’ve heard Cornette literally say he’s “proud” that Joe Biden is his president…
It’s absolutely baffling. Imagine being a wrestling genius but you can’t tell that US politics is a “work.”
@@NewNormalWorldOrder he's not actually bothered enough to actually look at things or he'd have very different opinions. Can't necessarily blame people for being politically naive. In an ideal world it wouldn't matter but unfortunately the world isn't ideal.
Jesse and Gorilla on commentary was some of the best commentary I've ever heard in pro wrestling. Ever.
As underrated a broadcast duo in the history of the business. “Gimme a break Jess!!!”
The only team on commentary better was Monsoon and Heenan.
Monsoon - He hit him in the external occipital pertuberance....
Jesse - so you're saying he hit him in the back of the head?
Monsoon - well, yes.
@@Pogo113 saw that match a few
Months ago..dont ask me who was in it lol but I definitely remember more than once monsoon using that greys anatomical term one time Jesse called Gorilla “Dr. Monsoon”
@Shadow Angel Nobody had a clue what the hell Dennis Miller was talking about most of the time on Monday Night Football, either. That doesn't make everybody else on the commentary team an idiot.
Jesse and Gorilla were great together.
@Shadow Angel all vince would do was fan boy up to his main Ho whether macho man, Hogan, or HBK and yell the praises someone would otherwise be singing..he wasn’t impartial or the straight man who called it as he saw it he was a babyface commentator which was only good to highlight and contrast Jesse’s heel color work gorilla did commentary and only bitched about rules being broken but still gave credit where it was due heel or face him and jess played off each other while jess and Vince bickered and jousted with one another becoming a distraction mid match
If I recall correctly, Ventura got into politics when he noticed that a creek or river near his home was heavily polluted, so he ran for mayor. He didn't get huge into the conspiracies until after his gubernatorial run ended in the early 2000's and his conspiracy phase is rather brief compared to the rest of his political activism. Not saying he isn't into conspiracies anymore, but his political views today are mostly just standard anti-establishment with a cross between civil libertarianism and social democracy. EDIT: Him and Corny would probably agree on a lot if they sat down and talked about individual policies.
Agreed. He's earning a living speaking his mind
I think most his conspiracy phase was more post-9/11 and calmed down after his show.
Jesse would make a great president
@ Wasn't that basically the show... LMAO
He literally thinks 9/11 was caused by space lazers
Jesse was correct with comparing Republicans and Democrats as bloods and crips. I remember laughing at it but damn it makes sense these days
Yeah true huh. Something happened to Jesse during his run as governor. Not sure what it was , but its almost he learned the inner workings of government he got disgusted.
@@kingkold well him winning as an independent many hoped that would trickle on up in the highest position. As per him even the CIA approached him how he had won. Also getting fired from MSNBC calling out the Iraq War along with Phil Donahue. Hell i just voted for him as a write in candidate in Cali.
I voted for him too!! Write in vote!!
@@kingkold Yea. Which sucks. Jesse wouldve been an awesome president.
When did he do that!? I actually started doing the same thing ~ a decade ago, but OBVIOUSLY politicians do more damage than gangsters.
Jesse Ventura is fascinating
@N e g r i t o [tenfold] you mean vince, because he had to pay Jesse every time wwe uses anything involving Jesse Ventura.
I ain't got time to bleed
Sexual tyrannosaurus
Most crazy people are fascinating.
By fascinating I presume you mean 'fucking batshit'.
Cornette mocks Jesse as a crackpot for claiming the government is out to get us....then literally claims that this government is out to get us in the same sentence. SMH
When it comes to politics I'm far more likely to agree with Ventura than I am with Cornette.
Cornette's politics are the only offensive thing about him. His heart is in the right place, but his extremist devotion to a "team" is dangerously narrow-minded.
Jim is so delusional on his politics. He is like these phony liberal Dumbocraps running around thinking everything will be better when they replace one crackpot with an equally bigger one with Crackpot Joe. These people have ZERO platform just like the others Jim complains about.
Making a blanket statement like that about Jesse is being uninformed and ignorant. If Jim would bother to realize the Dumbocraps are just like the Repukes then maybe he could quit being so naive about his "team."
Jesse is not one of these guys who just says things to shock people. He does his research and has written books about interesting subjects with cited sources.
Whether you agree with Jesse or not, he has always told it like it is. He never panders and is always consistent in his beliefs.
People who question their government with critical thinking and facts should not be looked down as "conspiracy theorists," it is good to question things especially when a lot of these issues are "sealed" for national security.
Some people say they don't believe anything the government says yet they think the government told them the truth about JFK and 9/11? Sheesh. These are probably the same idiots who think Jeffrey Epstein killed himself.
It is quite a blind spot. Politics is a heel program & Jim is the mark in the front row w/ a foam finger ready to jump the rail. Remarkable really.
@@burntvirtue Exactly - he has the childlike pro wrestling fan mentality towards politics, where his personal "babyfaces" can do no wrong, his "heels" are the embodiment of evil, and there's nothing in the middle. It's a simple minded, binary way of thinking that can never be swayed by any facts or logical arguments.
Ironically enough, for somebody so anti-religious, Jim handles his politics with the same blind devotion that a religious extremist uses with their faith.
Jesse Ventura tells it like it is.
@KaneMagus Wrong. Just because Jesse is passionate and believes what he says doesn't make him an asshole. In fact, he is one of the few voices of reason left in this country. I even wrote him in for President
Jesse is the man and most people who don't like him are scared of him because he doesn't bullshit about anybody or anything.
@KaneMagus be quite dummy
Not true
@KaneMagus so
Jim Cornette would be great as a character actor in a Scorsese, Tarantino, or David Lynch film.
He’d get whacked trying to get away after making the deal with the AG or after skimming off the top on that “thing” we did for “our friend”
Asking a person who has spent their entire life in and around the wrestling business about conspiracy theories is like asking someone who has spent their entire life in and around politics about honesty.
I could listen to Jesse talk about conspiracy theories all day.
I could as well its interesting
I could listen to his wrestling stories all day. I think he hates Hogan more than anyone.
Considering Ventura was a governor I wouldn’t pass all his conspiracies as “crazy”
Jesse will always be my favorite commentator. Just that ego and his voice were so classic.
Shut up MacMahon!
LOOK MCMAHON NOW THEYRE GOIN OUT TO THE FLOOR!...YOURE SUPPOSED TO KEEP IT IN THE RING!
@J. Arlington no that was Bobby Heenan- (Coughs)
Gorilla - Give me a break weasel!!
Jesse isn't the Warrior. Even if you disagree with the conspiracies, they're reasonably thought out and realistic.
true
What gets me is when people choose to disagree with facts that are right in front of them, simply because somebody *else* told them to disagree with it. It's so scary how mindless people are.

Jesse is one of my heroes. Love to meet him. He has truly achieved greatness. What a amazing life he has had
“I Ain’t Got Time To Bleed.”
"You got time to duck?"
He was too busy playing basketball in the Philippines to have time to duck.
Get to da choppa, take me to Wendy's
@Shadow Angel, he’s a valor stealing oxygen thief. He’s made millions of dollars from telling people he was “in the SEALs” who “hunted men in Nam.” Closest he ever came to Vietnam was a port call in Hong Kong.
@Shadow Angel, I’ve seen his service record. He never deployed to Vietnam. He spent his career in the Philippines.
UDT wasn’t absorbed into the SEALs until a decade after he separated. The two had very separate missions. UDT has a very storied history and he should be proud of that. Instead he dishonors their memory by claiming to be something he wasn’t and things he’s never done.
So he’s claiming Agent Orange ended his wrestling career now? That’s funny because in the first release of his biography I Ain’t Got Time to Bleed, he claimed to have developed pulmonary embolisms from going over a waterfall while on a recon mission, and that those blood clots came back and ended his career.
The man is a pathological liar. He’s always changing his story. The Agent Orange thing is probably his way of eventually explaining why he has Parkinson’s (he’s had it for over a decade now).
As for the rest of your comments? As a combat veteran myself, go fuck yourself.
I will say I listened to his audio book Conspiracy Theories and he provides multiple sources for all his information. It wasn't what I was expecting. Very much worth the read/listen.
I love Jesse Ventura! If you actually listen to him he makes sense. Ventura has talked about his time as Minnesota Governor and how the Vikings owner tried to get him to get the tax payers of that state to fund a new stadium for the Vikings. Ventura told him no that he had more important things that need tax payer money and the owner of the Vikings at that time kept threatening to move the team. Ventura went on to say what the majority of tax payers and everyday people don't get is that the owner of the Vikings is a billionaire who more than has the money to buy the land and build himself the stadium he wants but he doesn't want to spend his money because than he can't hold the city hostage later when he needs something or wants to get his way! That this billionaire owner looks at the Vikings as just a toy. He's not making big money off the Vikings especially at the rate he's paying his players, coaches etc. Its just a toy to him and he like the rest of the NFL try to sucker the cities and tax payers into giving tax payer money over to them so they won't move the team! But it never works out because later when the owners want or need something they start the same thing over again.
Ventura went on to say that if these cities all told the NFL no when to comes to building new stadiums these owners would have to put up there own money and be vested in the cities than they wouldn't be able to hold the cities hostage and tax payers wouldn't spend years seeing tax hikes and there tax money could go to things that are more important than some overpaid QB, WR, Coach whomever!
Jesse's a fuckin legend!
That was Red McCombs back then wasn't it?
I'm usually one to dismiss conspiracy theories, but when it comes to the JFK assassination and Jeffrey Epstein''s suicide I know there is no way the official story is what really happened.
Then you are stupid.
@ There is a difference between questioning the official story and believing an unofficial story. Nothing automatically wrong with asking for a more thorough investigation, or just details on how an investigation lead to a report. You risk getting egg on your face if everything is done to your standards gets the same result, or you reveal some classified information that might have been classified for a good reason, but if your source knows they cannot always get away with lying to you they'll be more likely to tell the truth until there is actually(what they believe to be) a justifiable reason not to.
Such as firefighters showing people the aftermath to scare people about hand sanitizer in the sunlight. They thought exaggerating would make people take them more seriously, but opposite happened, and could only result in unnecessary hysteria at best. Their hearts were in the right place but calling them out on that bullshit was for the best.
Oswald had the first shots and the other bullet was highly likely a misfire from one of the secret service agents behind him. The misfire would have been covered up because cold war propoganda would have had a field day with it.
@ A fire department admitted they couldn't find a picture of exploding hand sanitizer is also an official story. An official story that resulted from challenging an official story before it. They never switched from their stance, which was keep it out of the sun, but admittance of falsehood and exaggeration were good things.
Alcohol, it's not hard to find temperatures that ignite its fumes. Automobiles, it's not hard to find out how much hotter they get in their surroundings when under sunlight. You tell me how likely those numbers are to intersect. It's just as wise to question the unofficial story as the official. This not to an endorsement of conspiracy theories so much as it is skepticism, and doubt. If you question the conspiracy theories, good, they're guesses about information that is lacking, but the official stories can still be wrong.
@@messey12 Oswald was a terrible sniper. He had a previous assassination attempt at a ex Gen. Edwin Walker, with white supremist views. Oswald was a CIA mole used to expose a plot to kill the POTUS. he tried to alert the authorities with an unknown phone call to a British TV station 45 minutes before the assassination took place. It is now known that "Badge Man" was Dallas policeman, JD Tippet. Tippet was sent to kill Oswald to tie him into the plot to kill Kennedy. But Oswald beat him to the punch. That was the only crime linked to Oswald
Jesse's show Conspiracy Theory on Tru TV was one of the best shows ever!
The show actually ruffled feathers in Gov't and was censored and is relevant to recent events...Jim is a short sighted big mouth
Michael franzese and Jim Cornette crossover would be amazing.
Yeah but they wouldn't get along. Michael Franzese would break kayfabe.

Some of my best WWF memories were listening to Jesse argue with Gorilla Monsoon and Vince McMahon. Him and Bobby the Brain Heenan were just so damn great. I miss that.
If you believe the Conspiracy Theories or not. Jesse Ventura does ask some really good questions.
Area 51 is real. I know, because I used to live next door at Area 52. Needless to say, the HOA is none to happy with them.
This cracked me right up. :)
"I had to quit wrestling because of the agent orange" 😂 brilliant impression!
Lawler purposely avoided working with Stan Hansen 🤣🤣
It's fun to see some of Hansen's historic brawls, but I'd avoid him, too. Good lord.
I greatly enjoy Jim and Brian talking mafia in wrestling parlance. Jack Ruby "going into business for himself" made me laugh so hard I had tears in my eyes.
Jesse wanted and tried to have a wrestlers union and was thwarted by Hulk Hogan. That's all we need to know.
Ikr !!!
Jesse Ventura has debunked a few conspiracies. He's done some good work. Sometimes you need crazy guys out there.
@ He was talking about the David Icke conspiracy theory
I watched Greg Valentine order a large pizza with mushrooms, sausage, pepperoni and cheese, then proceed to eat only the sausage, mushrooms, cheese, and pepperoni. He left all the dough. I was young and new to the business, so I didn't dare ask him why. But i sat there in disbelief as the waitress asked him if he wanted a box for the rest and he told her he was done.
Michael Franzese- now those are shoot interviews!
Nothing fake about Franzese
Jim hated cartoon wrestling, but Vince made him an offer he couldn't refuse.
Jesse was such a great commentator alongside Monsoon. I don’t remember him commentating with anyone else? But Ventura and Monsoon was lightning in a bottle.
Heenan and Monsoon too.
Ventura commentated alongside Jim Ross in WCW as well. It didn't go well. Both Ventura and Ross agree it was Ross' fault because he was jealous of the money that Ventura was making.
He commented with McMahon before.
I think Jesse is spot on with his views when it comes to the US being stationed in the Middle East for the last 20 plus years.
Try 40+...all about the Petro dollar
I'm still amazed that Jim Cornette has been in direct contact with some of the biggest and greatest names in the history of our sport.
Why are you amazed? Wrestling is Corny's life and he is one of the GOATs. No one knows the business like him.
Agent orange? Jesse isn’t a Vietnam vet. He served in the Philippines
He claimed Agent Orange gave him health problems that ended his WWE career. Steroid abuse did that.
Travis Heckel deserves a raise. I love these
Hey I'm from WV, and I've been crying in the streets about the high cancer rates in the Kanawha County since 1997. Nobody wanted to listen. I had to leave WV, and change residency.
Ventura was a good politician. He was an independent, that's the best thing you can be
Leaving a deficit after inheriting a surplus isn't good.
Jim is like Lou Thesz when talking about wrestling history, but like Frankie Williams when it comes to politics.
Ventura rewrote the script on commentary he was unbelievable as a heel, that run with Gorilla & even with Vince toowas very memorable. I enjoyed his matches too with Lawler.
mad respect for the governor
What's the greatest wrestling conspiracy? A lot of people might say the Montreal screw job, but the funniest one to me was that people believed that the original Ultimate Warrior died and was replaced by an imposter who made the save in the Hogan vs Sid match at WM8. The worst part was when WCW introduced the Renegade, for some reason they cited that as proof that the original Warrior really did die😂
I know there's more but that was the only one that sprung to mind....
And for those who want to see those interviews that they're talking about like Michael Franzes and Gravanno, the TH-cam channel they are on is called Valuetainment. And the guy in the shadows that's Phillip "Crazy Phil" Leonetti. The Gravanno interview is especially interesting as he has some interesting views on how to deal with mass shootings. He also has an interview with Ric Flair. And since this is video is about conspiracies, the guy Patrick Bet-David also interviews Alex Jones.
“Win if you can. Lose if you must. But, always cheat!” Jesse Ventura
I truly enjoy Jim's segments! Top Notch! I'm still laughing 😅
Apparently from the impersonation, Corny believes Jesse spent some time in Scotland..

Jim “there were no conspiracies before Donald Trump” Cornette
Jesse Venture is good man with a moral compass.
This is probably one of the few things that I must disagree with Mr Jim Cornette on. simply because Jesse Ventura is not a nut and if you really divulge yourself into what he has revealed when it comes to these so-called conspiracy theories then you might realize that maybe he's on to something. Jesse Ventura would have made a great president probably one of the greatest ever but unfortunately in this country if you're not a democrat or a republican you don't stand a chance which that is something that must change we need to get rid of the two-party system and make it equal for everyone. But Jesse Ventura has said a lot of light on some things that were questionable and has opened a lot of eyes to some truths that otherwise people wouldn't have known.
Ventura is a "nut" because he dares to investigate things and ask a few questions. Jim's right, we should just swallow everything agenda-driven news (media) shovels out as fact. Never ask questions- Be a gullible mark IRL and move along.

It's funny the Jim cornette talks about crackpot theories of the conspiracies but he stated earlier in this interview that he did not know anything about politics and yet Jesse Ventura was governor at one point, I think Jesse Ventura knows a little bit more about what's going on than what he has an opinion to say.
Yes we need Cornette talking more conspiracies. That will be a good listen.
Why? he is literally one of the most politically retarted minds I've ever heard.
Jesse Ventura is very sharp and interesting! I disagree with Jim!
I am not sure I believed ALL of his conspiracy theory shows.... but there was one about the Ozarks, where I used to live, that made a lot of sense.... and I knew one of the "informers" on the episode who does underground exploring...not caves.... but abandoned places and questionable places. It was interesting because I knew the area. I also agree, that Jesse is VERY sharp....maybe too sharp for his own good...if you know what I mean.
Jesse and Corny have at least 2 things in common wrestling and Athiests.
this whole "conspiracy theory" phrase needs to be done away with, it's very outdated and extremely dismissive, it's alot easier to say a dumb phrase like that than to actually have an honest debate about some very interesting and odd topics... some ppl are just mentally lazy and/or scared of the possibility something "wacky" might actually be true, so they just scoff it away... unfortunately jim seems to fall into this category... "I'm cool and knowledgeable, and these guys are all "crackpots"... come on man, ur better than that... still love his wrestling knowledge though, can't dispute that
Yes
Sounds like something a conspiracy theorist would say.
So what politically correct term do you propose instead?
@@BlargGargle I say call them what they are. Stupid bullshit that only morons believe.
When they label you a conspiracy theorist you’re over the target
I like Michael's doc's. He doesn't push religion. He talks lessons.
So Michael Franzese caught a 10 year sentence on on a gas tax scam, a few years into his sentence he signed a cooperation agreement which compelled him to testify twice under a grant of immunity in the early 90s (once against crooked sports/music agent Norby Walters, and a second time against Ornge Tutt). Michael often misleads people about his status as a cooperator, I don't know why, since it's a matter of public record, but whatever. When he got his early release he ran to California and then Colombo Crime Family boss Carmine Persico "greenlit" Michael. This is where things get sketchy, but basically Michael claims he bought his way out, and since he had not "ratted" on anyone directly associated with the mafia (only his two guys, read: guys nobody cared about) he was eventually given a pass.
The Mafia didn't whack Kennedy, that's bullshit. If the Mafia had whacked a sitting president on their own, there would be no Mafia left. The only way this theory works is if factions within the US government wanted Kennedy dead and then used the Mafia to clean up the only loose end. Lee Harvey Oswald killed JFK. Maybe Ruby murdered Oswald at the behest of the mafia, but the guy was not exactly heavy. He rubbed elbows with the organized crime, he was a night club owner, a pimp but definitely not out there committing murders on the regular. I'm just saying he's an odd choice for an assassin in an organization full of guys with tons of experience in murdering people.
There is precedence for the Government working with the mafia, they did it in Lucky Luciano's days during the War, so I don't think the idea of them using criminals to clean up a mess is outside the realm of possibility... But who the fuck sends some schlubby night club owner on the most important assassination of the century?
I think Jesse is the best heel commentator of all time.
I've heard It all. A damn Democrat calling other people weak minded.
I've heard it all myself. A damn Republican thinking they're not weak minded.
There's no doubt in my mind that most of Jim's fans our Republicans that don't give af about his political views 😂😂
Not Republican but yeah Jimmy sounds like a prick whenever he leaves his wheel house. If it's wrestling comics or burgers Corny knows his stuff anything else and I just tune him out a bit
yea its weird how he's so anti-PC when it comes to wrestling but does a complete 180 when it comes to politics
Joe Rogan does an amazing Ventura impression. Jims was terrible but usually does good ones. Surprising
Michael Franzese's channel is amazing
I learned alot from Jesse's conspiracy theories: HAARP(weather control), origins of Lyme disease, thousands of disposable coffins, the rat-on-your-neighbor network called INFRAGUARD, 9-11( skyscrapers turning to dust as they fall). These are not theories: they are FACTS. My admiration of Jesse is unlimited.
Jim! You and Bobby Heenan are the two best professional wrestling personalities ever. My top 2!!! I am happy I found this channel.
I was always amazed how Henry Hill could do an in-person interview on the Stern show in the heart of NYC and escape unscathed. How he died of heart disease and not a bullet is beyond me.
Because most of the guys who wanted Henry dead were either dead themselves or in prison. By the time Henry was doing Stern nobody from the mob at that time cared.
Henry Hill was a rat. Watch Michael Franzese's channel. He was a former Capo in the Columbo family and his dad Sonny was an Underboss who lived to be over 100 and NEVER ratted. Unlike Sammy the Bull....but he explains all about Hill
Edit: As soon as I typed this comment they brought up Franzese. 😂

I love the Michael Franzese stuff too!! Sammy the Bulls interview with Patrick Bet David is 2.5 hours of magical insight.
Im not paying 50 bucks to watch two old mobsters yell at each other.
Sammy is all talk. When him and Franzese were in the same room, Gravano got loud and was yelling. Michael just sat there cool and collected, shrugging him off.
That jessie impression was awesome
I read an obituary for Omar "Mr Excitement" Atlas. It told a story about how he was the opponent in Jesse Ventura's pro debut. The promoter and Booker knew Ventura had the look but weren't sure if he could wrestle at all. They told Omar to test him and if he thought Ventura could make it as wrestler let him put you over the top rope. If you don't think so, beat him up. Omar went over the top rope in the match.
I love corny and he has great wrestling knowledge, but he doesnt know anything when it comes to politics
The truth is stranger than fiction, because fiction has to make sense.
Cornette is a bit too dismissive of Jesse Ventura's political views, possibly because Jesse has been critical of both major political parties. Both of these guys need to read Jesse's books, the man is a former Governor and Navy SEAL and should at least be taken a bit more seriously. I'm a tad disappointed in the rhetoric these guys are spewing on Jesse.
Yes my favorite topics pro wrestling conspiracies what a time to be alive 💯💯
Never in my life did I think Jim Cornette was going to do a mafia video.
A more developed form of my points about JTBV:
For context, I was pure mark until about 1989. I was a youngster with my dad at the Igloo to see Bruno's win over Toro Tanaka. I popped loud and often. The following is an excerpt from a Facebook convo I had today with a much younger wrestling fan.
This is how I see Jesse.
I've heard the hype on both sides. Here's how I see JTBV, then and now. Depending on how you were taught (by Stu or Fritz or Jerry, etc) Wrestling has a format: 1) The incident 2) the grudge 3) the Promo 4) the in ring storytelling, ably assisted by the announcer and color commentator. Sometimes there's a 5) The Belt cannot change hands on a technicality . . . which brings the ouroboros back around to #1. Jesse was 1st rate at numbers 1,2,3 and great at 4- from the color commentator point of view. In ring, he was not a sparkling storyteller, but adequate. We youngsters back then saw him as a credible counter to the main talents. One of the principle qualities a great heel needs is the ability to generate heat with the target audience. What Jesse's got these days is historical street cred as one of the greatest heels of all time . . . main evented Bruno, main evented Hogan, made eternal enemies out of VKM, half of Minnesota, and went on to make a high profile friendship with Russia Today . . . which pissed off 100% of USA and roughly half of the rest of the world. These days, he's a broken down old man (so am I) . . . and still the best heat magnet ever. I vote him number 1 heel of all time.
Do you guys feel that the WWF passed on possibly a great tag team that could have been , macho man and Jesse Ventura
