Back when Jesse was our governer of Minnesota, I saw him on the highway in his Big red Lincoln Navigator. He had no security detail, by himself head bobbing to his music and puffing on a big ole stogie. Just looking badass and grooving. I will never forget that.
I saw Chuck Liddell in a red Ferrari with some hot blonde cruisin highway 1 years back. Thought the same thing lol. Seeing Jesse would be way cooler lol
Best governor of Minnesota. Balanced the budget. We had a surplus. So he sent every taxpayer a check before he left office. Then the next governors fucked it all up.
The raw emotion Jesse expresses here is on such a level that if he’s lying to Joe thru this interview then he’s an even better actor than Marlon Brando was. I believe him 100%.

He won the jury trial. However, that judge made multiple egregious mistakes - botched jury instructions, prejudicial cross examination by the plaintiffs, and a "erroneous" failure to address questions of law. By the end of it, Kyle's lawyers were demanding a mistrial. It went to the appeals court where they struck down the $1.35 million for unfair-enrichment because it has no legal basis for this case - there needs to be a contract of some sort between both parties. The damages ruling was vacated and remanded for a new trial. The publishing company and Ventura settled a few months after. I doubt he got more than $500k. Probably less after attorney fees.

I just want to put this out there once again - I'm a huge fan of Jesse. Seriously, he's like a prime example of what a good human should be, and in a time like this, we really need more honorable folks like him. He's like a beacon of hope that there's still kindness out there. Just take a look at the kind of role models that are getting attention nowadays. It's all about music lyrics and trends, and honestly, Jesse's the kind of influence we could use more of for the younger generation.
I used to like him, but more recently he has lost his mind. The government shouldn't decide how much you can earn, income caps are insane. Historically a free and unhampert marketplace, ie capitalism, has been the least worst system for eliminating poverty. AND he was a Covidiot.
I do feel strongly that they were trying to keep Jesse Ventura from ever running for president I really do ...what he did in Minnesota as an independent was very impressive and I think it scared the hell out of both parties..
The MSM are war salesman and will do anything they can to prevent a anti-war candidate from being president. They are doing the same thing to Tulsi Gabbard, the only anti-war candidate running. She's also the only one who actually served.

Uncle Sam has probably always been a little "touched" as they used to say about individuals with psychological disorders. If we continue to let him run around wild and unchecked any longer and we might not be able to get him in check - treatable disorder > untreated eventually leads to unhealthy behaviors and eventually immoral and likely unlawful behavior. Ventura makes a great point. Media and social platforms can make claims against someone, profit from clicks and / or views with no substantial evidence whatsoever. If the claims turn out to be false, there is literally no punishment dished to the ones making the false claims. I believe legislation should be passed to prevent this. I'm surprised it hasn't been done yet.
agreed. There should be a liable aspect should a media outlet offer an accusation that is proven false...wait...there is! The problem is it gets expensive for the victim. What there needs to be is a liable aspect tht allows the victim to go to court initially on the accused dime and if proven, free, if it shows truth to the accusation, then be billed. You now have a person that will think twice before they either falsely accuse or litigate. Ignorance would not be allowed as the accuser has to show concrete proof.
There is though- defamation. You can sue everyone involved. You're talking about criminal charges? For words? How long before that can be abused? @@MisterMajinVegeta It's pretty simple actually. Ventura was a Seal and then became very prolific in show bizz as a wrestler, actor and eventual governor. He just happened to be a retired Seal before all of that happened.
It’s a good point and it very well might be true, I just personally can’t believe that Chris Kyle would completely fabricate a story for his own personal gain. There definitely has been history of navy seals being mentally unstable. It’s hard to take the word of either of them considering that they’re both navy seals and that they have both defended everything that the United States believes in. My point of view comes from the fact that navy seals are trained mentally more so than physically. They are trained to not only trust, but love their fellow navy seals and trust them with their lives. A real navy seal not only lives for themselves, but live for their brothers. A real navy seal defends their brothers at all costs and to me, (personally) Chris Kyle seems more mentally stable and noble to his cause than Ventura. From what I have read and seen, Chris Kyle was a humble man who wanted nothing but peace for his country and I find the accusations of lying for personal gain to be absurd. I see this video more so as Ventura trying to defend his name and win over the hearts of his fellow Americans while Kyle is in his grave and has no means of defence. The real story may never come out but I believe in Chris Kyle, I will always believe in Chris Kyle and my brothers who have actually seen what happens in Afghanistan, and seen just what it takes to survive will know that you will not survive without your team, and they will not survive without you. To me, Chris Kyle is the hero and ventura is the liar with mental instabilities trying to defend his own name.

People in MN said he created controversy, but it was actually those people who cried when he did what he thought was best, and that made him the best Governor of MN since I have been alive. I have to believe Ventura, not just because he was a WWf wrestler, but because he was an honest Mayor, the football coach at my High School (Champlin Park High School) the last 2 years I was there, and Governor, and what he said in this video makes sense. On top of that if he did something wrong, he had no problem admitting his wrong doings as he showed when he was in both of his political positions back in the 90's in MN!
I don't think that the authorities call it murder when there is civil unrest/natural disasters, etc. Looters are often rightfully shot during huge losses of services when police aren't available and people/property owners have to fend for themselves. If you have looters stealing food/medicine/etc. that can put you or your family's lives in danger; that's not murder at all. Oftentimes during emegency situations like this, civil rights/constitutional rights are suspended and are right the hell out of the window. Certainly scary crap. You ought to read some of the stuff that FEMA and/or the federal/state government is authorized to do under such circumstances. As far as Kyle shooting looters from the roof of the superdome? Uhh....I'm gonna have to guess that was bullshit.
As a follow up.....lots of people saying they believe Jessie from his words here. To reinforce your trust, let's remember that not one single person in a crowded, staffed bar saw a punch being thrown. No security footage. No crowd reaction. No shouting. Jessie never had any kind of injury or facial marks. That evening, and the next day, Jessie met with dozens of people. The evening after the supposed punch, same day, Kyle and his friends asked to take some pictures with Jessie. This is a fact. In those pictures, Jessie had no injuries. And if Kyle had punched him out that day, why would he be asking for friendly pictures later. And why would Jessie agree to it, happily?
But apart from the heorism side of the story, the movie reflects a tangible understanding what soldiers mentally go through.. All those poor veterans who are forgotten and will never be the same humans before they see war and destruction..
I didnt read the book either. I've read almost every Navy SEAL book out there except his. My radar went off when I saw that he was bragging about the number of people he killed on the cover. Something very wrong with that guy.
@@remopkr198 Vasily is probably the most deadly and proficient sniper in history. 11 sniper kills is astounding. But as far as jungle warfare as a sniper, Hathcock is best
As a veteran I will say I’ve met some of my military heros and to be honest a lot of them are not in their right mind... or should I say their minds have been tarnished from trauma and stress. Nevermind all the people that were liars and bad people before they entered the military, we are all people too and you have the same issues in the military as the civilian world.
Most vets don't tell much about their times over seas unless they are with other vets who experienced the same things they did. Its hard to explain what it it is like to someone who has not been there and experienced the things you did.
Jesse was famous for being a wrestler and an actor before his stint as a governor......... Jesse never used his history in the military to achieve fame. The man was in Mexico surfing of all things when this shit hit the fan.
"How dare you sue a war hero?".....We expect war heros to have integrity and honor. Chris Kyle got a pass from everyone based on an implied reputation that others like him have earned. He could do no wrong. As a veteran myself, I remember genuinely remember despising Ventura for that lawsuit. Believing everything that was spun about him. The veteran community crucified him for that whole mess and they continue to. This has certainly changed my opinion and I hope at some point the guy can kind find some peace.
Yep. Chris Kyle got promoted to deity status, however he was a flawed person who lied about some stuff he didn't have to. Its sad even after being exonerated from the case and proven he was right, Ventura is still hated and a pariah. Can you imagine what that must feel like? Someone makes up a lie about you, you fight it in court, prove he was lying, and people hate you even more after you prove you've been lied about. Chris Kyle died during the case and the trial continued against the estate, but it got turned around to say, "Ventura is suing widow of Navy Seal". I feel bad for Ventura for simply trying to clear his name.
I don't get it, why don't you people read? I did, and knew Ventura did not do this, so why can't you all research on your own, so you aren't deceived? You all wait to be spoonfed lies, rather than doing your own research. We're adults, right? then lets act like adults and not children.
Bingo. I knew there was more to this than we were hearing and I think you both hit the nail on the head. This is the only line of reasoning that makes sense in all of this.
Kevin Shayne And there are also many naive people Kevin. Assuming you are from the US and believe the party line there? Do a little more research on you country’s history of false flags to get into wars that look beneficial or just to divert attention from other issues closer to home and the elimination of a single puppet to clean up loose ends does not seem too far fetched at all. Think about the Gulf of Tonkin, Bay of Pigs, Pearl Harbor or 911 as just a few examples. Or are you one of those still clinging to the belief that Arabs did that and 3 towers just dropped out of the sky within minutes neatly into their own footprint? Including tower 7 which was not touched by an aircraft impact?? C’mon man, wake up and do some critical thinking for yourself!

I'll tell you how I recognise an honest man. When you hear him recount the same event over years and the words he speaks are exactly the same. Not subtle changes in the wording, not completely different memories but the exact same words. I have a friend, a long time pal, who recounts funny tales of his past. Every time he retells a story I know it is an honest memory because the he tells those stories with the exact same words and emphasis on certain parts of the narrative. Jesse has told this story many times over many years. I've seen lots of those interviews and heard a few vocal recordings of radio spots. He says these things exactly the same each time. This is what true memories are. You don't need to colour them with fancy words or descriptions. They speak for themselves. That Chris Kyle lied about such other important things as Hurricane Katrina?!? That tale is such a load of bologna. That would be straight up murder for starters! "Look how tough I was, shooting people guilty of looting, from a distance with my high powered rifle." You douche bag murdering son of a bitch. Or he would've been.....but....we know that story wasn't true. No reality there. So let's wind our way back. In his case against Jesse there are court documents supporting the outcomes and the testimony in court. I cannot see how anyone believes the tale Kyle tells once jurisprudence is carried out and decided. The record must be righted in Jesse Ventura's direction and other mistruths, falsehoods, told on this man Kyle's behalf must be corrected. There's one clear reality here. Only one person in this equation was trying to profit from the story being told. Money and fame corrupt those who worship its power and influence. Some men have that weakness. Not all fail the ultimate test. I feel for Kyle's family. To live with the knowledge their loved one died living a lie for financial gain. Especially since his military record was such a righteous and noble one and his attempts to return to civilian life ultimately led to his death. What a shame that two service men now live with doubt surrounding their legacy. Though, I have no doubt about Jesse. He's done no wrong. I hope the Seals see the light and welcome him back with respect and apology.
I feel for Kyle's family. To live with the knowledge their loved one died living a lie for financial gain. Especially since his military record was such a righteous and noble one and his attempts to return to civilian life ultimately led to his death. You nailed it right on the head there. Kyle didn't need to lie about anything. He had an incredible list of military accomplishments. I've personally believed Jesse since the beginning. Some of the things in Kyle's book and other things he's said, while they sold books I'm sure, just didn't pass the smell test (Katrina, shooting 2 carjackers and the police let him go after he gave them a number to call). The man could have just told the 100% truth of his service, and it still would have been an incredible story and still a fantastic movie (as none of the other crap was in it anyway). Just really sad to be honest.

Plain and simple.
I'm to young to have grown up with Ventura but how did he get so famous as a navy seal?
Something else, as well. $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ A ton of it selling books. Go on talk shows watched by millions of people like OReiily factor talk about punching and laying out the former pro wrestler, the celebrity, a treasonous spouting Jesse Ventura. When promting his book, he even talked on air with a straight face about earning quite a bit more medals than he actually was awarded. WTF?
@@ajattwood6329 I'm a retired noncommissioned officer and Kyle was a retired petty officer (the same enlisted structure). As an NCO/PO, your word is your bond. Therefore, I cannot trust his account and must judge for myself that he lied about Ventura as well.

He was a liar and a publicity hound. Real honorable warriors don't glorify the horrors of war and their individual achievements and on top of it lie about other warriors. They honor their comrades and live their lives in quiet solitude. Others are free to celebrate them, but they realize duty doesn't require acknowledgement. In fact its contradictory.

I don't think that the authorities call it murder when there is civil unrest/natural disasters, etc. Looters are often rightfully shot during huge losses of services when police aren't available and people/property owners have to fend for themselves. Basically.
Michael Umphlettee well said brotha. No obfuscation, just truth.
Michael Umphlettee well said and thanks for your service man
True that!
Most vets don't tell much about their times over seas unless they are with other vets who experienced the same things they did. Its hard to explain what it it is like to someone who has not been there and experienced the things you did.
Never meet your heroes
Rocking back and forth is indicative of trauma - Jesse Ventura is truthful
Calling myself out here. Heard the story about suing his wife and bought it. I stand corrected
Same here, I hate that! However, I'm glad to now know the truth! Wow, stolen valor isn't that a felony? Treason?

The bravest Seals or war veterans don’t do interviews and do look for fame. They know what they did and that’s good enough.
Bill D so what would you call this interview?
Jesse was famous for being a wrestler and an actor before his stint as a governor......... Jesse never used his history in the military to achieve fame. The man was in Mexico surfing of all things when this shit hit the fan.
Whatever, everyone complaining about Chris Kyle making money off of his outstanding military service makes him more American in my opinion.

That's a good one, I like it.
And that’s exactly what Ventura does. You only or he ever said he was one and that’s it. Never went into any details about his experience
It used to be like that back in the 1960s,1970s,1980s and 1990s,when they had less publicity and weren't as well-known.
This has certainly changed my opinion and I hope at some point the guy can kind find some peace.
my father is X SEAL. he doesn't have anything nice to say about chris. but Jessie he loved.
@@jbern2185 Karma's a bitch. That's why one should NEVER bear false witness against their neighbor.
I don't get it, why don't you people read? I did, and knew Ventura did not do this, so why can't you all research on your own, so you aren't deceived? You all wait to be spoonfed lies, rather than doing your own research. We're adults, right? then lets act like adults and not children.
Ventura started making noise regarding running for president , then Chris Kyle comes out with this huge lie , coindidence?.
Nope. And Kyle was such a simpleton that the government knew would one day let the truth slip, they eliminated him.
