    Hey at least you got yours in a Box I just received mine in just an envelope and very sloppy. I'm working on a review for my Versamax and spoiler "Alert" not a good experience.

      Conceptually this product is great, but execution, QC, or final finishing is lacking it seems. While I was able to get mine to work reasonably well with some polishing of parts here and there, a customer shouldn't have been required to make such modifications to get a working product.

    Something to mention is that the finish of the lifter is pretty smooth so is possible that J Kenny saw your review.

    Do yourself a favor, buy the Beretta lifter. It works, it has a lifetime guarantee and it's $69.

    Good day. I've had issues from the start with this lifter, at first I decided that plastic dummies that I was using were not great but also I was getting stoppages with low brass case shells. The higher brass seemed to work fine. The shells would get stuck on the lip of the mag tube follower. Never had the issue before. Also had a few where the lifter gets caught on the base if the shell. Thanks for the video I may try filling down the area you have suggested and see if it makes any difference

      For the shell being stuck on the mag tube follower, is it something like these two pictures? imgur.com/2ceA3er
      imgur.com/WHSgSV7
      If so, filing the follower at that 45* angle really helped with mine.
      As for the lifter caught on base, assuming something like - imgur.com/lx8GhCZ
      If so none of the filing eliminated that for me. The lifter is pretty unforgiving and will cause that type of jam if I don't push the round past the cartridge latch. I think a lot of it has to do with how the J Kenny lifter is shorter (by a few millimeters) than an OEM lifter. imgur.com/OCLAVpw (Left OEM Comp lifter, middle 1301 Tactical lifter, right J Kenny)
      I hope the filing helps. Good luck!

      @@Evintos yeh having both issues to be fair, however I jave just noticed that my lifter is leaving slightly off towards the ejection opening. As I pish down I can feel it catch on the inside of the bolt release. If I push it over it's fine but it then returns to that position. Hopefully a bit of a file should help then

    Could I shorten the long one to fit in tactical model?

    • @Evintos
      @Evintos  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Unfortunately no. I actually tried (ordered two because initially it was advertised to work with both Comp and Tactical receivers. JKenny didn't know that the receivers were two different lengths). The lifter is essentially two pieces and no amount of modification would make the 2nd piece (the one that is towards the rear) function with the shorter tactical model receiver.

    Is there any excessive side to side play with the lifter? Saw another video of excessive play on a Stoeger and wanted feedback before ordering for my Benelli m3. Thanks!

    • @Evintos
      @Evintos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have no clue about the Benelli lifter but the one for the 1301, it has a tiny bit less than 1mm of side to side play. th-cam.com/video/d0-AP8cmvuo/w-d-xo.html

      @@Evintos wow that’s not bad at all. On the Stoeger it’s practically slapping the walls of the receiver. I might have to roll the dice and get it for the Benelli. Thanks for the video!

    What is the point of this thing

    • @Evintos
      @Evintos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The J Kenny Auto lifter gives the Beretta 1301 (and other models) the functionality of something like the Browning A5 when the bolt is locked to the rear and allows you to load a round into the magazine tube without dropping one through the port first or dropping the bolt first. It will then feed that round from the tube and automatically chamber it. It also like a Beretta Pro style lifter which has a nub that keeps the lifter up and out of the way, essentially creating a funnel for the load port. Video below - warning, might want to turn down the volume.

      I can see the appeal but to me the product looks unfinished in multiple ways at the cost of reliability. Also for like the 1301 tactical does this impact your ability to ghost load? I think it would. You can ghost load the comp pro style lifter, I also have a 1301 comp pro and it is possible.

    • @Evintos
      @Evintos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheCenturion8404 It doesn't fit the 1301 Tactical at all. Originally they advertised it as fitting because they assumed that the 1301 Comp and Tactical share the same receiver lengths (UK based company). I found out the hard way it didn't fit and brought to their attention why it wouldn't and they've since changed their website to reflect the incompatibility however they haven't edited their video with the same info.
      You can ghost load the J Kenny lifter. The potential lowered reliability is a concern but it's on my 1301 Comp (which is one of my recreational firearms), so I'm willing to accept the quirks and issues. I used to be really in to 1911's so aftermarket parts that requires fitting and tuning is not a big deal for me.
      If you're looking for a pro style lifter for your 1301 Tactical, it's Beretta Part #C7C940. It can also be ghost loaded. The procedures are the same as your Comp Pro. th-cam.com/video/8FWaJbxGI1g/w-d-xo.html

      The comp is on a 3.5 inch receiver, the tac is a 3 in receiver (although the both do only 3 inch shells). My friend has a Kenny lifter on his m2....works just fine

    Why not just use c rums? (Google it)

    • @Evintos
      @Evintos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The stock 1301 Comp lifters don't need a C Rums weld and a 1301 Pro Comp lifter is better anyways part #C7C121. Neither of them do what the J Kenny lifter does.
