I’m 36 but I threw this cd on for little nephew. I had to show him some dope music. Funny enough I went to put the cd on it was gone. I called my nephew he admitted to taking it. His excuse” it was too dope for you to give it away and it’s not on Spotify” I hugged him and we smoked a joint and bumped this and cannibal ox cold vein. I don’t think it should be a surprise that cd went missing too.
One of the songs my grandfather heard before his last boom of a heart. I believe he is in heaven now. Greetings to Gary and all his friends and followers from Vilnius, Lithuania, Europe.
GZA is truly one of the greatest, and this was meant to happen, the era of dope mainstream Hip-Hop is long gone, and i doubt it will ever come back, dont worry in a few years people who listen to the mainstream music from today will be complaining of the music from 2020, 2030 you know? one thing i do know is that i rarely find true Hip-Hop fans, every one i know is a 90's mainstream Hip-Hop fan at best, even the underground listeners only stick to s few artists, shit i'm into everything.
Those lyrics were like books...I loved reading fantasy and science fiction in the 80s...Lyrical hip-hop was on the same level in the 90s..The culture of text, we all lost it when we entered the visual age of information. That is why I still prefer command line operating systems like DOS and text only Linux to GUIs.
I was playing this Music Apartment 133, 10227 North 32nd lane year 2002 metro gardens apartments maintenance man arrived to fix the dishwasher in our apartment. He used my cellular phone
Muggs a genius. Had tickets to see him play in a pub (Pustervik) in Gothenburgh many years ago. A big Cypress Hill fan, me and a friend went there and the guard hated us from the first minute... Anyways, as always my friend drank too much and started to dance for himself and pointing "the finger" to all fans waiting for Muggs. The guard loved using violence when he kicked us out and I never saw Muggs. But I saw Psycho Realm play some years later (or before?) In Gothenburg and it was one of the best concerts Ive seen! No Muggs though haha Good times!
WU BANGA STRANGLER A Piece no anger Creativity a saviour Can't change the behavior Asks the gods for safety As yet another favor They want to but can't change ya That living on a knifes edge Too late..can't save her To a true heart She remains a traitor
One album doesn't make you good. And it doesn't matter what he did, it's what he's doing and what's he's going to be doing, and it's shit. Anything you want Luda, DMX, X, Snoop, Em, to go back to their old shit. Mef, Red the Wu always rockin' it never changin for the worse, now that's hip-hop!
Hmm, he may not be your cup of tea for obvious reasons but 50 cent is def. part of hip-hop history in my book, and most of the icons of rap say the same.
when you think about it, all the shit thats out today, maybe the sons of the greats like gza will be the saviors of the new era, 50 cent needs to be removed from history along with akon etc etc etc etc etc......
One of the most intellectual raps I've ever heard. RESPECT GZA🙏🙏
