Had a pair of Hawke binoculars for a few years and love them. When i bought an air rifle recently and needed a scope, I naturally bough a Hawke and guess what? It’s brilliant, very pleased. Great products across the board.

Hawke know that news of this kind of service spreads. I am about to purchase my first air rifle, likely the HW97KT, and after watching this, I can safely say that it will be a Hawke scope I purchase. I can imagine that some of the 14k (so far) viewers of this video who were undecided will likely be leaning towards Hawke now too. Thanks for sharing; just discovered your content, and really enjoying your open and honest viewpoint.

I also startend out with a PCP hw100 bullpup and then tryed a Springer. One thing you have to keep in mind with a Springer, if your grouping keeps getting worse check your stock screws. They loosen quicker than you think.

Big up Hawke all you like after that. Had AA TXHC and Pro sport in Walnut. They are so nicely made. Sadly the HW97KT is so much easier/better to shoot. Twang and all.

Bought a new airmax, and ao very stiff, contacted Hawke posted it Monday afternoon and new scope arrived Thursday morning (they said there was nothing wrong but it was obviously a new scope). They now have a lifetime supporter, fantastic service and great products.

I buy hw97k from 1995 and have use it for hunting i ever change the spring with ox spring for power and now i use venom glide kit for smooth. This air rifle is very good accuracy and free to go everywhere. Field target trophy is most accurate with venom glide kit moderate power but if use ox spring about 16fpe is good to use hn barracuda.

Hey mate grew up in Australia only using centerfire rifles obviously lots of good hunting here when I changed to a springer air rifle you have to think completely different no hugging let it lay free because you have the double recoil I couldn't work out how I was so accurate with the centre fire but couldn't get a good quality Springer to shoot keep practising don't hug

I saved up and purchased the Sidewinder 4-16x50 with the SRPro reticule (i don't know why more people don't use this reticule, i had to special order!) to use on my old AirArms S410 with a set of BKL mounts.... The Sidewinder for the money is excellent and for me took dusk shooting to another level, especially as the reticule is multilevel illuminated....

Try the Chinese pellets Qiang Yuan 9.6gr 620mg. 4.5mm. I’ve just started to use them in my HW97k. They are amazing, getting thumb nail groups at 40 metres. I hold my rifle lightly, don’t use the artillery hold. Some of this internet advice is very poor. It’s all about you feeling comfortable holding your rifle.

Hi my friend. I've messaged you previously regarding shooting your 97KT, and politely trying to help you along your journey, as I'm quite new too.
I bet it was a real kidney punch dropping your rifle, as the weight of the rifle wouldn't have helped. I did the same thing with mine.
Mine was in its gun sleeve, and I was hold of the spring clip shoulder strap, and it it gave way. It wasn't a strong impact on the tiled floor, and much of the impact was cushioned by the gun sleeve and the bottom step of a wooden pair of step ladders.
That said, I'll still need to check zero though. It was like losing a leg, so know how you feel.
Huge respect must go to Hawke UK, who acted in a most kind manner.
We get so used to watching Watchdog type programmes, where working class, everyday people are duped by people who know they are in the wrong, and are embarrassed into righting their wrongs.
Tell you what mate, pardon the pun, that's definitely a bullet dodged, lol.
Though huge respect to Hawke UK, and a lovely story to hear. Horrible in the beginning, but with a great outcome.
    Best wishes mate, Ian.

Hi my friend. Sorry, I wasn't aware you'd replied, but thankyou.
I'm doing ok, thankyou. I have the exact same rifle as you have. It was the first rifle they showed me. I was like a child in a sweet shop. In hindsight, I'd have bought the blued barrel and walnut stock.
I've never liked the black, tactical plastic stock. I always wanted to make my own, handmade, laminated gunstock, though was terrified by the router shooting off and making a hash. The router would be the only electrical tool I would use, as I think generally, it would be to much to ask a hobbyist to chisel out the channel for the action.
I eventually grew a pair. I sourced the Walnut and Ash previously from a local, specialist supplier. The first week of this year, I caught Covid, though wasn't greatly ill with it. I'd got two weeks off work, so set too.
I spent around five and a half hours sawing the laminates, clamped in my Black and Decker Workmate, then began glueing them together, layer by layer, or else they would out of position glued all at once. By the end of the month, my stock was made. I'd say it shoots more accurate, with a slightly heavier stock, and been told its well balanced by an established shooter.
I'm a postie of thirty years and shown it a good few of my customers, those that don't mind shooting! They all were impressed, and made some of them realise, we're all good at something, maybe??
I'd love to send you pics, as I have them over the whole journey of the build. As I'm fifty two, I'm not up with this tech age. The only electrical tools I used, were the router and the jig saw, for the ninety degree square cutting angle. Everything else was Black and Decker Workmate, rasps, metalwork files, going down through the different grades of sandpaper. For the finger grooves, I made forms out of scrap timber, then wrapped sandpaper around them. There's always a way, if you look hard enough!
When the seven laminates were glued, I drew pencil lines, then used rat tail and half round rasps to shape the stock, around the pistol grip and cheekpiece areas.
It was really weird. I lost my much loved father in 2017. He was genius at making things. As I was shaping the stock, and saw it come to life, my hands felt like Dads hands. It was a real strange feeling, I was thinking of him the whole time.
I wish you well my friend, I'd love to send you some photographs.
      Take care, Ian.
