My son lives 6 miles away, and it was 100 degrees. It was just horribly hot, and miserable. I dislike summer's heat. Good news on your Mom. Ellen, now you need more days of downtime from garden chores. I hope next year you will plant less thereby your Fall work will be much less stressful. I truly believe seeing less plantings and more open orderly space is far more pleasing on the eyes and your dogs will also enjoy the yard more.
You have probably already worked out the timeline with your contractor and I should mind my own business, but sometimes they don't give much notice before they show up and start working. I just had a deck built and they came at 7:30 in the evening and let me know they were starting the next morning. Glad your mom is doing better!
My friend had a similar experience with apples that she bought at Aldi’s. After researching the company label they were from a company now owned by Bill Gates. Wondering if your cherries were a Bill product? My friend is keeping the apples to see how long they last as she is sure they are GMO produce. 😳
